The one good thing about letting everyone back into the race
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 01:00 AM) The Royals are four back in the loss column. Will they ultimately pass the Sox? 15 games remaining vs. KC I think. No one cares about the royals.

Dodgers vs White Sox 9:10 CST
QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 12:20 AM) Right after we get some starting pitching in here. Maybe then we will be ok. Tough loss tonight. We are stuck with humber and Floyd for a while.

Dodgers vs White Sox 9:10 CST
So we are back to playing baseball like the pre-winning streak baseball. Losing series after series relying on other teams and the crappy division we are in to keep us on top. This team better get its head out of its ass.

Ozzie Guillen is Least Respected Manager
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) Mark Buehrle and other free agents signed with Miami. They wouldn't have done so if Oz was hated. Case closed IMO. So the large contracts had nothing to do with it. Try a refreshing change and embrace logic.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) Then go on the DL playing like that helps no one. I hope you laugh at this later when you sober up.

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 08:34 PM) agreed, i hate the n.l. making pitchers hit makes no sense OMG you are missing the super uuubbbeer stategy that they use in the NL. They use double switches. I mean whats better than taking an automatic out and moving it all over the lineup while taking worthwhile players out.

White Sox vs Mariners 3:10 CST
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) He needs to throw his slider more. Seems to have fallen in love with his fastball. It's not like he is calling his pitches. The guy behind the plate gets fastball happy when he puts down the signs.

White Sox releasing $5 upper deck ticket for TOR series
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 03:26 PM) This is a funny discussion. Everybody is right. Yes, the White Sox have a small fan base. Yes, the common everyday Joe can't afford to go to games any more. I can barely afford to go to games and when I do I can't afford to eat. I sneak in some snacks and go to Wendy's on the way home. This is a great deal. If I were in the Chicago area, I would definitely be taking advantage it. They need to advertise it! If they don't it wont help to increase attendance much. So for the Brewers series. Well it might cost 150 bucks just to sit in section 548 for a family of four. Then add on 25 bucks or so to park. So you are 175 bucks in before you even think about dropping another few bucks down on a simple hotdog and a drink. Another fun oddity, is that tickets to the upper deck lock you in the upper deck. Not the case in most of the parks out there. This is one practice that they need to change. Not exactly something that the average Joe can do a lot over the summer.

White Sox releasing $5 upper deck ticket for TOR series
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) That doesn't address the lousy attendance prior to the economy tanking. In the end our attendance is driven by our season ticket sales. End of story. We are not going to rock a large walk up to cover the fact of a poor season ticket base. This was expected when the GM pretty much said we were in a rebuilding or retooling phase. Having a losing record at home to start off the year wasn't a help as well.

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 22, 2012 -> 08:36 PM) Man, we're just bailing P.J. Walters out. He's pitched mediocre at best yet he's only given up a run. We seem to always say that.

Sox vs Twins 5/22 game thread 7:10 first pitch
Losing large amounts of games at home and against your division is a good way to put butts in the seats. This team is mentally weak.

These umpires are amazingly bad.
-
Sox vs Twins 5/22 game thread 7:10 first pitch
This twins team is absolute garbage. We seem to for some reason ignore scouting and play into their hands. Teams that beat them pound them inside. We take fastballs, then go fishing in the other batters box for sliders. This pitcher must of watched tape from a Scott Elarton start. High fastballs then sliders out of the zone.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 22, 2012 -> 07:47 PM) Especially because the ump refuses to give him anything on the outside corner. This is one team you pound inside. Little power and they specialize in poking the ball the other way with 2 strikes.

He is pitching like this is the rangers lineup. Attack them, pitch inside.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 22, 2012 -> 07:40 PM) Yeah, but that is still PK's ball to cut...the other players are supposed to tell him whether to cut it or not and he was just not in position. They should of DHd kong tonight. His reactions in the field look off.

QUOTE (Jake @ May 22, 2012 -> 07:37 PM) Just hitting the cut, only missed PK by a foot or two unfortunately a foot or two is all that PK can move You don't hit the cut past 2nd base. That was an attempt to throw home by deaza.
