QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 02:11 PM) IMO, KW would want Floyd in the rotation. KW will bring FLoyd up. He will use the Masset isnt stretched out excuse that they have used in the past when they dont want someone to join the rotation just now.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) Then he doesn't get Buehrle. Beggers can't be choosers. You can be the fastest guy in the world, and if you can't hit (Gomez, career .279 in the MINORS), then running fast isn't really going to make a difference. Jose Reyes .250 in rookie 00 .307 in Sally 01 .288 in Advanced A in 02 split with .287 in AA .269 in AAA and came up and hit .307 in the majors

The time to turn the season around was a month ago. They decided instead to take a huge smelly dump on the field, and then charge admission for it. -
Post Your Questions for RHP Gavin Floyd

With a new organization, you have an opportunity to rebuild and refresh your career. How do you learn from your experiences in Philadelphia, and use them to make you a stronger competitor. Who was your greatest influence in baseball? On the day you start, what do you do to prepare mentally and physically for your start. Do you have any superstitions or routines that you have used for a long time. Have you played out in your mind, your first game at US Cellular. -

Well I like Masset as a starter. So seeing him get more experience is a good thing now. -

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) Anyone who thinks the Sox can make a run this year with this bullpen is f***ing delusional. The fuse is lit. 37-29 now to get to 95 games and a possible playoff spot. They better get a winning quick. -

The sooner Uribe is out of Chicago, the better. He is regressing and getting heavier. -

Whomever is responsible for our power hitters, doing that shuffle show bunt, pull back take a strike crap needs to stop. If you want to take the pitch, take it from the position you will be swinging at it from in the first place. You dancing around, and then taking a strike is foolish. -

QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) i knew Dye was going to go down like a sack of potatoes on that one. Lindstrom was just having too much fun watching how fast his pitches were. he was waaay to confident that last at bat. man, i wish we had a lindstrom. oh yea, he's mike macdougal. Our hitters are undisciplined. They had this on the XM baseball morning show, talking about how the scouting report on the sox is, throw it near the plate and they will swing. -

Okay if the ball is near or around your neck area. Dont swing. -

Is Hawk blind. When I am at the park, I can tell pretty quickly when the ball is gone or not. He ejaculates all over the monitor, then pisses in his cheerios when its a warning track shot. -

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) How the hell can you be a pro ball player and be so damn bad at bunting?? You dont get big paychecks for bunting. So as far as the players are concerned its not part of their arsenal of things to practice. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) Watching Danks pitch is getting annoying. At least he had some more strikeouts tonight than he had been getting recently. How is it annoying. He is a 22 year old rookie who is learning on the job. This is a lot easier than watching Felix Diaz give up an 8 spot in the first inning, or Arnie Munoz take a dump on the mound. The stuff is there. The polish isnt. This season is about the kid learning, and taking his lumps. In every level, Danks has gotten pounded in the first half as the young guy on his team. Then he makes an adjustment and then dominates it. The kid learned that he doesnt have to be curve crazy tonight. Throw his fastball and his change and he can do well. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:12 PM) Indeed, but the Schmidt injury destroyed my hopes for getting Billingsley. Well if the kid struggles, Colleti who likes his vets might get on the Buerhle all you can buy ticket. -

QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:13 PM) this is the same old white sox offense. uribe is stealing $6-7 million per year from the Chicago White Sox. he must be in bed with Ozzie Guillen because dude sucks more than anybody else on our team yet he never misses a game. we get a few runs early and then shut down for the rest of the game. typical white sox We already know the offense sucks. I am the official soxtalk champion of that cause. Watching Fields hit, watching Danks pitch. -

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:08 PM) Is KW still in possession of his mental faculties? I am in Philippines now, but it seems he might need to be checked into psychiatric center. What's the deal with Aardsma? Same 'ol same 'ol? Hopefully your travels there are a lot better than mine. The heat, and the food didnt agree with me. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) Just got back to see Aardsma throwing medicore fastballs right down the middle. Also, since when did Danks become Neal Cotts? Danks is learning on the job. He needs to throw that changeup more and he will be okay. Hopefully tonight was the start of an adjustment that he needs to make. -

Man on 3rd and 2 outs. Time to get that run in. Its seems so far that we blew our offensive load in the first inning. -

Our catchers get a case of the nibbles with our relievers. Instead of just letting them throw strikes and attack. Our catchers setup on the outside, like we have contact pitchers trying to avoid the bat. Power pitchers need to get ahead, and then you can move outside for the outpitch.
