White Sox vs. Angels, 4/27/07 (W)

QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 10:30 AM) he may suck on the road but he scares me. i could be wrong but i dont think the sox hit him well. You are wrong. They do hit him well here. -
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 12:12 AM) Is it possible for a major league team to have 1 bad game out of 162 when its missing 2 of its 3 best hitters? With the way some people act on this board you think we'd have the Royals or Cubs record. Kason Gabbard, Guadin, Runnynose Herhandez, Bernaro, and a few others say that this happens a bit when we face a bad righty with a > 7 ERA. I think the problem is that we dont respect these pitchers and figure that we can go yard on them at any point. Then get ourselves out.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:46 PM) Not that I think they'd bring him in or anything, or that he'd be a good outfielder, but if there was a time it'd be now. Good outifelder, you mean like Ozuna. This was a pathetic There is no reason that Chad should of dominated us. That was long looping swing attack. Everyone was trying to hit a homer and go home. Sad

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) The thing about that excuse is it's true. You make it more difficult when you cant hit a meatball pitcher with an ERA north of 10. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:45 PM) You think so? I'll take your word for it. I don't know. I know everyone's high on him but I never really saw enough of him and I haven't caught any Diamondbacks games. I'm just waiting and seeing. They were high on Joe Borchard also. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) I'm not KW but you know that's not what happened. I'd bet anything that the Sox liked Vazquez more than Young and expected Anderson to, you know, not suck. Young would suck here. He would of had one more year of the banner hitting instruction in the minors. He would be geting exposed low and away and would be Anderson right now. He pretty much is anderson right now. -

the only good thing, is that this will keep Durbin in the rotation for the foreseable future. And real hitting teams will rock this thing into the stratosphere. Durbin now joins a long laundry list of bad pitchers who look better than their ERA against us. Its the Joe Mays approach. Spot low and away, and bounce pitches in the dirt. You spot that pitch low and away and let the magic happen. 3 f***ing hits against this. Embarassing. -

3 hits. Sexy. And low and away puts another sox prospect away. The kryptonite to every hitter that puts on the sox uni. -

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:17 PM) 45 runs the past 7 games, and it was no shocker that your "Fire Walker!" Campaign was on mute during the time frame. I have been on this campaign for a while. So nice try with the "I kept it quiet" comment. Nice try, come again. -

Danks will get his first win around July. He will pitch well enough, however he faces either someones ace or their bum starter. We cant hit either. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:13 PM) Konerko's AB was embarrassing. We need baserunners, and after a 3-0 he swings at two consecutive inside pitches -- the last resulting in a weak popup. These are the simple parts of a game you'd expect someone to know. Or atleast a hitting coach to reinforce. The funny thing, is that after 2 good games against the Royals and their embarassment of pitching everyone thinks that Kong is magically fixed. Well he looks like s*** tonight. So maybe those 2 games were what we call a blip on the Paully slow start o meter. -

There is no reason outside of teamwide food poisioning that Chad Durbin should be still in this game. He should of given up about 7 runs in 3 innings. But the corpseball attack is doing its best to strand runners at a good clip. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:58 PM) GOD DAMMIT!!! ARE YOU f***ING KIDDING ME? How many meatballs has Durbin thrown this game? It's unbelievable frustrating to watch. Greg Walker is still getting paid. For what I dont know. -

More great defense f***s Danks. An outfielder catches that. However Ozzie decided to play on our outfielders as the DH, and put a backup SS in LF tonight. So much for defense. -

It would be nice to have an approach that would make contact with men on. This striking out crap with men on infuriates me more than anything. Durbin is not a guy that screams K with his medicore stuff. -
