  1. QUOTE(TLAK @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) Complete Lineups: Chicago White Sox Scott Podsednik LF .292 Brian N. Anderson CF .179 Ross Gload 1B .156 Joe Borchard DH .800 Joe Crede 3B .253 Timo Perez RF .225 Chris Widger C .239 Geoff Blum SS .186 Willie Harris 2B .252 Mark Buehrle P (16-8 3.19) Cleveland Indians Grady Sizemore CF .291 Coco Crisp LF .303 Jhonny Peralta SS .295 Travis Hafner DH .304 Victor Martinez C .305 Ronnie Belliard 2B .283 Jose Hernandez 1B .232 Aaron Boone 3B .244 Casey Blake RF .241 Kevin Millwood P (9-11 2.92) Umpires: HP: Brian O'Nora 1B: Tim Welke 2B: Gary Cederstrom 3B: Bill Welke A month of 'Sundays'. I'd love it if these guys beat the Indians, pull Buehrle after 75 pitches in 6 innings, then Atkins and Marte set up Baj for the save. Anderson, Gload and Borchard are going to f***ing rock Millwood. Thats my prediction.
  2. f*** THE RED SOX AND THE YANKS. STFU UP EAST COAST. For all of the baseball purist would you be so thrilled that we had the integrity of the game, how would you feel if one of our starters got hurt in one of these meaningless games. Oh sure we will respect baseball. These guys have been busting ass and playing everyday for the last few weeks. I say rest them. We havent won all year long with offense, for gods sake this offense might hang with our regular offense. Whats the worse thing that happens with the offense tonight, Millwood 4 hits them. Pieces of s*** 4 hit our starters last week. Give them a day off and lets see what the hungry kids can do. Anderson, Gload and Borchard are going to f***ing ROCK Millwood.
  3. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 07:19 AM) I'd love to play Boston in the 1st round. They could have Arroyo start game one, Schilling game two, and Tim Wakefield game 3. With how bad their bullpen has been, they're ripe for the picking. Exactly. Boston is a hell of a lot easier than the Angels in a short series.
  4. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) What a month! Well, the missus and I closed on our spacious new home in suburban Downers Grove today. After all the stress of the Sox Sept slump and preparing to buy a home, it's great to have TWO happy endings within hours of each other! Now off to that "massage parlour" for a third! Welcome to the neighborhood. I moved to Downers almost 3 years ago. Great to have more sox fans moving in.
  5. I hope they keep Dye in the 3 hole and Everett in the 5 hole. The offense looks a hell of a lot more dangerous in this configuration. Dye is a better fastball hitter than Everett and with Kong behind him he should see a lot of fastballs. My only worry for this team has been the offense. The pitching should be great.
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 08:25 AM) Yup...and not knowing until a day or two before the game is truly sucky. I need to be my own boss... I just took the entire day off. Its much easier that way.
  7. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) God, I love it when I hear men say that. . . You do survivors of sexual assault a HUGE service for speaking up on that. I paid for my college working in law enforcement. I saw the best in humanity, and of course I saw the worst in humanity. Crimes against children are unforgiveable.
  8. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:05 AM) :rolly Once again they are NOT crimes. That is your opinion & clearly it's biased as you do not have enough information on these allegations to form an impartial one. For there to be a crime there must be a police report filed & an arrest. A victim &/or witness to the crime has to come forward in a timely manner for such a report to be filed. Then the police decide whether there is sufficient evidence warranting an arrest. If a victim or witness takes years to come forward it may be to late (statute of limitation). In any case the Church has an obligation to work with authorities on the same level that the baby-killing PP does. No more, no less. I am a conservative and a catholic. However your assesment of this issue is not on point. The arrest is a reaction to the outcry of a crime. But the crime was committed. In Illinois a crime is commited when either "Actus Reus"(guilty act) or "Mens Rea"(guilty mind) happens. If a person is murdered and their isnt enough evidence to convict a person has a crime not happened? No of course not. Plus as a person who had worked in law enforcement for 7 years I can tell you that sexual assault especially molestation is one of the fewest reported crimes. People feel guilt, self hate, anger, embarassment and fear of coming forward. A lot of victims of sexual assault dont come forward. Male victims of sexual assault rarely come forward because of shame. There is a stigma to male sexual assault victims, especially in same sex assaults. My brother is a detective, and has worked on one of these cases. He was disgusted when trying to get evidence and cooperation from the church. The majority of priests are role models, they are men of god who wouldnt harm a fly and are champions of peace. But there are a few bad apples, and the church must stop ignoring this, root it out and eraticate it. Hopefully these priests who harm children realize that they will get away with it here because of resistance, but eventually they will stand in judgement. And there is no hiding from that.
  9. Well this Chat Crew member will be there on Tuesday live, probably drunk and enjoying this live. I will be there for the rest of the games. 2005 AL CENTRAL CHAMPIONS, HELL f***ING YEAH
  10. Sweet pics. Cigars and Champagne. Nice way to end a Thursday.
  11. f*** THE INDIANS!!!!!!!!! THE INDIANS HAVE GOOD PITCHING AND GOOD HITTING. THE BOSOX HAVE GOOD HITTING AND NO PITCHING. I WOULD RATHER BEAT THE BOSOX AND SHOW THEM WHO THE REAL SOX IS. f*** EM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
  12. CONGRATS TO THE 2005 AL CENTRAL DIVISION CHAMPS. NICE JOB GUYS
  13. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) Look, I know that we'd all like to wrap this thing up and all but hear me out. I kind of want the Yankees to run the table to win the East and for us to tie Cleveland for the division. I say this because of how memorable one-game playoffs truly are. THink back to Angels-Mariners or the Sawx/Yanks for the Bucky Dent game. I will celebrate us making the playoffs when we win the division but there is a large part of me that knows how great a one-game playoff to move on or go home would be in Chicago on Monday afternoon. It would be an electric atmosphere This makes no sense. Win the division and get in, or possibly f*** ourselves.
  14. 2-0, Everett has a triple Maybe this lineup Dye, Konerko and Everett may work. HOLY s***!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  15. Jermaine Dye looks good at the 3 hole. Double for Dye. Run would of scored if Pablo didnt get caught.
  16. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) Pablo on board! Pablo caught stealing. Slipped on the run.
  17. QUOTE(heavyduty @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) What would happen if Cleveland won out, giving them 96 wins, Boston did the same, and the Sox drop their last four, leaving them with 96? Then the Yanks would be out.
  18. TIME TO BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF GRILLI AND CLINCH THIS THING Offense meet Mr. Grilli. Yes the same Jason Grilli that had a 7+ ERA and sucked big time last year. He in fact is the same pitcher. Dont let him fool you, he sucks.
  19. From Jim Calis's chat on ESPN today
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 08:59 AM) "LINEUP CHANGE: Guillen said he is considering taking Carl Everett out of the designated hitter role today and using Paul Konerko as the DH with Ross Gload playing first base. Before getting a sixth-inning single Tuesday, Everett had five hits in his last 42 at-bats" suntimes article This is a few days overdue.
  21. QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) Still can't believe people overlook his first half in favor of the second half. You can't do what he did in the first half and be a bad baseball player. I suppose using your logic, whatever happens lately for a ballplayer is how it will be from now on. Contreras will be lights out the rest of his career. Hermanson's back will continue being bad and he will blow save after save. Joe Crede is going to be Mr. Clutch .300 hitter the rest of his career. Pfft. So basically by your logic, if a guy hits 350 in the first half, then hits 220 in the second half and then kicks the ball around in the playoffs its okay, because he was part of our success in the first half.
  22. Inspiration quote by Dye after tonights loss. :finger Dye How about when you see men on the bases, and you come up to bat, hit the f***ing ball and maybe those guys will run around the bases till they touch home. No more King with men on.
