  1. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) I'm still laughing at the 8.5 mil Contreras makes. Two words: Eric Milton.
  2. Awesome handle is all I have to say.
  3. I think we should dig up some of those trade threads from when we first got him.

  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) Bobby Jenks is going to be a stud. He's got a snapdragon for sure.

    Jenks Video

    QUOTE(rangercal @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) did anyone see that wicked curve about midway in it? Anyone who watched the video saw it, I'm guessing.
  11. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Whatever. We're 4-3 against the Angels, and that's with Santana's fluke and 2 Contreras starts and one Garland start. We won both that Buehrle pitched and both that Garcia pitched. I know the Vlad and K-Rod issues come up, but K-Rod was there for a while and wouldn't have pitched that often anyways, and Vlad can only do so much (we were without Frank anyways in the 4 game set and one of the three game set). Three 1-run wins and one 2-run win. I'm sure as hell glad that Vlad and K-Rod saw no action in those games.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) I think it will ensure the victory of Pods. I luv it when you ballotize.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Every Vendor at the Sox game tonight was wearing a Vote for Scott pin. Pretty cool. I saw somebody in the dugout wearing a "vote for scott" in the same fashion as the popular "vote for pedro" shirt. I don't know who it was though. Maybe Oney.
  14. What if this prevents him from getting 100 rbi yet again? He'd have to be out for a long while.
  15. I wish he would go back to UH OH because after seeing that cooking comercial so many times I have grown to love it.
  16. Except Maddux's fastball has movement.
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) Why? Less RBI Less homers Lower OBP -Higher BA -More HR/AB -Yes, less RBI. But doesn't bat cleanup and 20 less AB's than PK -Higher OPS by over 30 points.
  18. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) Jermaine Dye: .271, 18 HR, 44 RBI Lets not consider Dye to be a problem on this offense anymore. He's more an All-Star than PK.
  19. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) i just got off the phone with steff
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) This highlight reeel thing is pretty damn good. I forgot about a lot of s*** that happened last season. Kalapse chat now.
  21. I absolutely love it. A close up of a player's face would look really cool too.
  22. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:06 AM) I would love to see the Sox go after Oswalt...he is a total stud but I don't know if Houston is even selling. I doubt it. They're only 6 games out of the wild card with plenty of season left. After last year you'd think they'd really have to be cellar dwellars in order to sell.
  23. Can Kalapse work his magic?
  24. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) They said it could be done by the end of the week. The Giants fans called the station and wasnt to happy about the deal if it goes through... The end of this week? Like today?
  25. QUOTE(UofIChiSox @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) I know his record is 3-5 now, but what would it be if our team hadn't bailed him out and gotten him into no decision situations? Anywhere else and Contreras would probably be about 2-10. Actually he would probably be at least .500 on other teams considering he ranks 92 out of 108 in the entire MLB in run support at 3.87 runs per nine innings. Not trying to make excuses though because last night was brutal. And now that I think about it, maybe his demeanor and lullaby approach on the mound contribute to lackluster offensive performances.
