Ozzie Contribution to W-L
QUOTE(redandwhite @ May 31, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) All five of you, please name the 3+ games that Ozzie has contributed to the win. Well, there are plenty of wins to choose from where the bullpen was involved. Does this count or no?

Marte
Made a bad pitch up in the zone to Erstad which was ripped. The other two hits were duck snorts so not much you can do.

Would you make this trade
I cannot answer objectively because the thought of Jake Peavy in a White Sox uniform makes me not think straight.

Who is the better defensive shortstop?
This just occured to me. Have you ever seen Uribe make a head-first diving play? Either for a catch or before getting up and throwing out a runner? Oh, and Uribe, no contest.

Vernon Wells on the trading block?
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 31, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) I'd be the happiest man alive if thats all it took. I'd be willing to give up Sweeney if it was necessary. I was thinking the same thing. "That's all?"

Ozzie's most dubious managerial call yesterday?
QUOTE(Steff @ May 31, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) As far as I've heard that hasn't been confirmed so I'll hang on to my thoughts a bit longer. Thanks though.. ? I was listening to the post game show and heard this. They were not even talking about Hermanson at the time. How would Schneider tell Ozzie during the game that Dustin was tight anyway? He sits on the bench, not in the bullpen.

White Sox v. Angels Game Thread 5/31/05
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 31, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) Looking for a little help tonight: Does anyone have a Pepsi product in the house? I'm looking to buy tonight's tickets on Ticketmaster, but I'm having some difficulty without that damn Pepsi UPC. Thanks in advance for the help, it's really appreciated! Just type "pepsi" where it asks for the code.

Ozzie's most dubious managerial call yesterday?
No, Hermy was talking about Frank beind tight, so Timo hit for him.

Terrible Topics today
Willie walked a bunch last year. It's normal.

Kaz Matsui
JUGGS: I'd rather target somebody who can hit righties well. Our team BA vs. RHP is abysmal. We hit LHP fine right now.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ May 30, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) I missed the game - what the hell did Ozzie do (or didn't do) ????? How much time do you have?

Sox @ Rangers -- 5/29/05
QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Also, Garcia and Silva is a pretty even match-up. No.

Sox @ Rangers -- 5/29/05
QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) I know, I'm the last person to complain about an announcer saying nice things about the opposition. However, he just seems a little too eager to compliment the Rangers at every opportunity. What I liked best was when he said Mench's home run was foul before we could see where it landed. That was nice.

Cubs Trade Latroy Hawkins
I'm willing to bet Hendry targeted Aardsma for the very reason LaTroy was unsuccessful at times. In AAA, he gave up just 2 home runs in 55.1 relief innings pitched. I do not know what kind of park Fresno plays in, but that is still very good.

Cubs Trade Latroy Hawkins
QUOTE(bulokis @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) WTF? Who is the GM of SF, is he drunk or what. I'm starting to think Hendry treats these GMs to a few cold ones before they talk business.

Cubs Trade Latroy Hawkins
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) What a great trade by the Cubs. This is a very, very impressive move from Jim Hendry. Aardsma might end up being the jewel of the trade. He is an awesome pitcher from Rice. I remember watching on espn2.
