  2. QUOTE(kevin57 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:38 PM) I wouldn't want to tangle with this babe. pfft,
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) his best work is when he is playing for Tenacious D live in concert. Wow Rock, we couldn't disagree more on this.
  4. QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) I'd buy that, but when yo usee PSH in this role it really isn't him. If that makes sense, you don't see the actor AT ALL at any point. It's really amazing. I can't describe it. Interesting, I'll have to check it out.
  5. I've already decided to camp out for this film...dressed up as a Mexican wrestler, tights, cape, mask and all.
  6. QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 10:35 AM) I think that Philip Seymour Hoffman was more amazing in Capote, though. Which was also an incredible moving. It was really interesting, I had no idea that Capote was such a total amoral self-serving jerk. It was definitely a good movie and I really enjoyed watching a biography of a true American classic novel. Great movie, and like I said, PSH was absolutely mind-boggling as Capote. Really, absolutely stunning. I haven't seen the film yet, but insdiers say it's a natural fit for PSH to play Capote. Both rather, uh 'eccentric' personalities.
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 11:27 AM) I like the Ameriquest one on the plane, when the woman accidentally mounts the sleepy guy. It was completely unrelated to the product, but i thought it was hilarious. Yep, that and the other one with the daughter and wife and the guy on the hospital bed..................everything else was horrible.
  8. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) i only liked him in High Fidelity, but i found him hilarious in High Fidelity. Although it may be because i loved the book so much. Top ten reasons Jack Black sux: GO.
  9. Do you wanna touch me?>>> I Love Rock N Roll>>> Bad Rep. Can't really go wrong with Jett. Not sure how much of it she wrote herself, but her music had more balls and testosterone than most music made by men.
  10. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) my best songs of '05: Doves - Snowden The Constantines - Soon Enough Animal Collective - Grass Jamie Liddell - Multiply Sufjan Stevens - Come on! Feel the Illinoise Which one do you think will win a Grammy?
  11. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 10:51 AM) I'm thinking that the script was "written" by a team of circus monkeys throwing their own s*** at a wall with random words and phrases written on it. Whatever the s*** hits gets used. "Okay, Bongo....THROW!!!.....(plop)......"Mexican wrestler"......GREAT!!!....okay, Tiny....THROW!!!....(plop)....."Jack Black".....this movie's gonna be AWESOME!!!" Created by monkeys and sure to be watched by billions of sheep.
  12. Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do? watcha gonna do when they come for you?
  13. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) The nominees are: Rascal Flatts "Bless The Broken Road" Bruce Sprinsteen "Devils & Dust" John Legend "Ordinary People" U2 "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" Mariah Carey "We Belong Together" ( by the way, about the nominees..... :puke ) I don't think he was being ironic. Here's his comment: "Yes, it was a guilty pleasure, but the emphasis is on the pleasure." If those are the choices, I'd go with 'Ordinary People'. I haven't heard the rest of his record, but I enjoy that song. Oh and Fergie has GREAT abs.
  14. When people get busted for soliciting a prostitue or looking for kids in sting operations, why is not considered entrapment?
  15. Wow, it stars a guy who is obnoxious not funny and was directed by a guy who made a film that is not funny. Has MTV movie awards written all over it. I only wonder how many billions of dollars it will make on opening weekend?
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 12:52 AM) Ugh, I'm tired of the Brokeback references already. Hopefully it doesn't get as bad as the Rick James line. I was tired after the 1st one. You knew this would happen, it's just so easy and people will always go the easy route.
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) ^I rest my case. ah ok, gotcha
  18. wow, did you guys see the same film? One of you didn't see The New World.
  19. Does anyone know the full story on Mark B's proposal??
  20. I have always gotten a lump in my throat during the video. Most people at the park seem oblivious to it.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) I am thinking about renting The Aristocrats and it sounds like it will be either a riot, or horrible... Without scanning 80 pages here, what did people think of it??? I think most people were dissapointed.
  22. I thought I heard that, but wasn't sure on the date. THX MAN!
  23. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) Not an APC fan? I think i'd prefer to listen to them over the Billy Corgan Show. I saw APC only because The Mars Volta was opening for them. I'm not a fan of APC, but at least Iha looked like he having fun onstage for the 1st time ever. He and D'Arcy always looked like they wanted to die when they were onstage with Corgan. Hmmm, I wonder why?
  24. It doesn't matter who backs Billy. From what I heard, the Pumpkins were pretty much The Billy Corgan Experience anyway. He's a legendary control freak, who allegedly grew so impatient with his band mates, that he played everything on their first two records. Iha and D'arcy were along to give the band a more 'eclectic' image. They have a chick bassist and an Asian guitar player, they must be 'alternative'. What have those two done since leaving that band? Iha is in A Perfect Circle :headshake . I'm not defending Billy, I just don't think it'll matter who the rest of the band is if they're gonna play Pumpkins songs.
