  1. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 07:28 PM) Because they have been leading this division pretty much all year. They choked in Baltimore and have continued to in Detroit. Its a pattern with this team. No the pattern is now winning at home and losing on the road.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 07:13 PM) I didn't. I had complete faith in Sale. He was not giving him fastballs, and he was 0-2 with 2 Ks tonight, right? I didn't expect Delmon to somehow rip a HR off his ankles. Might have been even lower than his ankles. Young was smart he went out and got that pitch before it could break. Hit it way before it reached home.
  3. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 06:42 PM) That looked like a hanger It was and the change up the next pitch wasn't good either.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 06:38 PM) Why is ESPN trying to defend Konerko there? Because it can't be an error even if it was a mental error.
  5. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 06:27 PM) So why the f*** are they not bunting to miggy. This is criminal. Looks like he's moving a little better and lets face it, how many of these guys can actually lay down a bunt not fielded by the pitcher or catcher.
  6. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 01:56 PM) Only gripe about the lineup is flowers, but I can see the logic behind staying him considering he has played well as of late. I just don't think he won't stand a chance against verlander's high heat. Logically we're screwed, recent history at Comerica, injuries , Verlander, less than ideal lineup but screw logic !!
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) So I see Small Game Peavy and the coaching staff didn't show up again. Ugh, terrible start to this series. Is Hawk going to blast the Sox coaching staff for shuffling the rotation like he urged them not to do? Don't forget the hitters going like 0/12 with RISP.
  8. QUOTE (wsgdf_2 @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) Not saying I agree with it, but it has to be a conscious decision on the Sox part. They must thing it would be unsportsmanlike, bush or maybe just disrespectful to Cabrera. That's really the only explanation. There's no way they haven't had the conversation. Have to exploit weakness just have to , there's nothing unsportsmanlike about it. If this was football you can bet any team goes after an injured player. Granted its easier in football but still holds true.
  9. Why won't Wise bunt at Cabrera leading off.? Not only would it be tough on Cabrera but he could tweak that ankle again.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 06:40 PM) Lucky for us, Detroit sucks. This one ain't over. But we are allergic to hitting with RISP on the road.
  11. As David Bowie used to sing "putting out the fire with gasoline !"
  12. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 05:58 PM) Dunn has been on base twice tonight hahahah He also K'ed with the bases loaded and 1 out.
  13. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 05:58 PM) Dunn has been on base twice tonight hahahah Konerko has had 8 men on his at bats and not driven in any.
  14. Tiger's saying here take it we don't want it and Sox saying no you.
  15. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) You mean 2 of the main reasons why we our in 1st needs to step up? Every all star goes through a skid. Yes they do today .That's why they bat 3rd and 4th and have stranded runners left and right tonight .
  16. Dunn and PK have to step it up a notch . They did nothing last night too.
  17. No clutch hitting at all and it's been our big guys not coming through.
  18. QUOTE (kev211 @ Aug 27, 2012 -> 04:01 PM) Why did they do this? Just to get out of suits and lighten the mood for the road trip.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 06:49 AM) Talk about absolutes........... Announcers are known for their home run calls. Hawk's known for that as well as DP calls, "should be........rack 'em up", and many more. I was at my friends house watching the game one time and his wife had no idea how we knew exactly what he would say a lot of the time. Maybe some don't like it but I love to say he gone on a strikeout. Or can of corn, or right size, wrong shape, or get foul...it will, thank you very much. To me, its like being with a fan at a game. As I've said, his ranting about umpires does get old after a while, but the other stuff will never get old to me. I don't mind a Yaz or Catfish story. He loves the White Sox, and knows the game. I personally couldn't ask for more in the booth. Jones came in to finish the game tonight and I called him Vulture right before Hawk did.
