  1. Do we hear what a poor manager Yost is for having a lefty face Jones and not looking at the stats ?
  2. Sox say damn we beat KC last night . We can prevent that from happening again by not scoring.
  3. QUOTE (CyAcosta41 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) Absolutely. Kudos to you, dude. I know that somebody has been doing the Duran Duran Rios thing for awhile now, but couldn't remember who it was. In no way was I trying to steal your thunder. Rather, with the sand of the sliding pit right there, and with the importance of that play, YOUR Duran Duran Rios thing has never been more apt! That would be me in the game threads .His name is Rios and he dances on the sand . skip a line then " and when he shines he really shows u all he can "!
  4. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 10:02 AM) Mustaches are kind of pedophile-ish on white men. Not sure why. That being said, whoever grows 'em should post 'em in this thread. Wow with crazy nonsensical attitudes like that I guess we should all just get inked cuz that's so much better.
  5. QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 11:59 AM) I thought about it for a minute, but i am sticking with my beard. The creep/douche thing is too much for me. I just started a new job. Cracks me up. Mustaches have been en vogue many times. Just because now they aren't somehow having one is creepy/douchy ?
  6. Cleveland Rocks ! Cleveland Rocks ! Cleveland Rocks ! Cleveland Rocks !
  7. Can you imagine what a beast Viciedo will be if he ever can figure out righties ?
  8. His name is Rios and he dances on the sand... And when he shines he really shows u all he can !!!!
  9. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:26 PM) a 1y/$7M deal would have been more than affordable for the Sox. Thing is, KW gambled that Viciedo would out produce Quentin this year and he was wrong. Could cost the Sox a postseason appearance. Still tunnel vision . Sox must've made 50+ moves based on salary MaL and MiL personnel and possible future moves. Until you come up with something similar and you really can't because we have no idea if those moves would ve been accepted you can't cry about one move costing anything. Not only that you're assuming Q would've had similiar production against different competition. Look at all the quality players the Dodgers have added and all the salary. Still doesn't guarantee a thing.
  10. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:00 PM) What was so fantastic about it? Trading Quentin was a bad move. I don't know how you can say it was a bad move without taking into consideration all the other moves made ,all the time he missed and the salary saved. Everything is related and unless you can say how you would have saved salary , accounted for the time lost and other moves that you would 've made saying that single move was bad is tunnel vision. With the team competing very well I doubt your plan if you had one would've produced better results.
  11. Tigers breaking it open in the 8th. Looks like it will stay a 1 game lead.
  12. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) Sportsmanship??? So a team starts a player at 3B who can't move and it's poor sportsmanship to bunt towards him? By that logic the Sox could start an injured pitcher and it would be poor sportsmanship for the Tigers to swing at the meatballs he throws up there. Or let's say a team has a catcher that is leading the league in hitting, home runs, RBIs and OBP. But he recently injured his throwing arm so that although it doesn't affect his hitting, he can barely throw the ball back to the pitcher. If the team starts him at Catcher to keep his bat in the lineup, would it be poor sportsmanship for the opposing team to steal second and third every time a runner reaches base? The Tigers wanted to keep Cabrera's bat in the lineup so they started him at 3B even though they knew he probably couldn't field a bunt. There is nothing unsportsmanlike to take advantage of the situation, and it's foolish to let him beat you with his bat and not take advantage of his defenseive shortcomings. I must be invisible .I just said the same thing (shorter version ) 6 posts ahead of yours

  15. QUOTE (schien4 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 07:05 AM) Hello everybody! I'm a new White Sox fan. This is my first time living in Chicago. As a sports fan, it is really hard to choose to be a north side or south side. Fortunately, I would rather stay with a team which always wins. As the offseason coming, I really wanna buy a tickets for ALDS. Any body has any idea that when should I buy the tickets and what the price should be? My first choice is 300 level. I hope the price can be under 130. Good luck to everybody! GO SOX! Find a season ticket holder and be their best friend.
  16. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:23 AM) I think they call it sportsmanship. But, that really is lacking in MLB as it's all about winning. I feel strongly both ways about it No sorry think about it. It's competition the only way to beat your competition is to exploit weaknesses. If a pitcher has a sore arm and is throwing crap do the hitters not exploit that ? If a catcher has a bad arm or the pitcher a weak pick off move do you not run on them ?
