KC @ CWS 7-18
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 05:18 PM) Buehrle can't pitch over the error, and KC has the 1-0 lead. KC's 1st ,last and only run of the game.

Cubs-Sox WS - Whose fans could survive losing?
Cubs fan would definitely take it better. Cubs fan stardard response: " Oh the party's over ? On to the next party." Sox fan standard response: I can't beileve we lost to the Cubs ! Guillen sucks ! Trade (insert players who had a bad WS) ! We didn't lose we gave it away !

Wow there's some real bad clutch hitting going on for the A.L. This game would've been over had they left Clutch Crede in.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) It's destiny for Uggla to f*** up multiple times this game only to come up now in a situation to give the NL the lead. It is ? Better get your crystal ball fixed.

Look at the Bright side
All you have to do is bump the where the sox will finish predictions thread to see that most Sox fans should be overjoyed at being in 1st place. I predicted a .500 or worse team based on only 1 or 2 of the young players improving on last season along with career norms for the rest of the team. Almost every young guy has done way better than expected. CQ, Alexei, Danks and Floyd in particular have catapulted this team into a bonafide contender. The bullpen's 1st half numbers far exceed the numbers from last year. I fully expect the young hitters to keep up the pace. It's the pitchers I worry about returning to the mean. But if everyone keeps doing what they're doing we're a playoff bound team and I couldn't be happier about that.
