And .732 is his slugging percentage not his OPS which is something like 1.164 give or take.

Gaze into your crystal ball and tell me who to sign in the off season to minor league contracts and what to pay for the guys who you think should get MLB contracts. You couldn't do it any better .You wouldn't even come close.You don't have the resources to know every single player in the minors and majors.You'd never trade a minor leaguer. No rebuilding team should ever trade a young guy unless it's for another minor leaguer right ? I'm surprised I haven't heard you giving us status reports on the minor leaguers traded away last year or this off season. Are they not doing well enough for you to crow about how stupid Getz was to trade them ? The Sox arent paying anyone besides Robert and Benintendi . They have one of the lowest payrolls in baseball. WTF are u talking about ? You do know it's has to cost money to field 26 MLB players not to mention paying call ups MLB minimum wage when guys get injured.

It's 100 to pick a rule 5 and 50 to return him. So that's $150K By paying $25K the Cubs cost is $75K thus saving them $75K . Sox get a rule 5 for $25K but will cost $50 to return him or $75K total. So by paying the Cubs $25K they are basically splitting the cost of him being returned but if the Sox keep him they're paying only 25% of the cost to draft a Rule 5 guy.
