  1. Just imagine the Sox facing the Giants in the World Series with Rodon still pitching for the Giants. Then ask yourself "Is Hahn working for the Giants ? " Why the hell would you ask that question !?! Ok No QO means no draft pick, which means teams would probably have offered Rodon less money ,so the Sox made it easier for any team to sign him for less money ,thereby ,making it harder for the Sox to sign him. Now to stretch this a little bit farther what if the draft pick the Sox might've got from the Giants turns into a really good player !
  2. Just amazed people are still asking that. I'm old and not even that tech savvy and even I can figure this out . I still dislike cell phones ! Should've done it for last weeks game to work out whatever kinks or problems you are having. Apple TV is not Apple TV + .All you need is the Apple TV app which is free for most smart TV's . My only caveat is I have had an itunes account forever and they do have my financial info. If that made it easier to set up an Apple TV (used the same email and password as my itunes) account then great for me. But once u have Apple TV you just click on the Apple TV+ tab and the game is right there to also click on. Sounds like you applied for a free trial of Apple TV+ which was not necessary at all. I'm in California so blackout rules for Sox games in the Chicagoland area do not apply to me. One more thing I live in L.A.County about a 1/2 hr. from Dodger Stadium and I'm watching the followup game to the Sox game Dodgers @ Reds and I'm not blacked out !
  3. Very solid . Burger did great. Cease made a big jump last year and if he jumps just a bit more year, he's right up there in the top 10% of starting pitchers. Heck he may have been that last year.
  4. Elite is a term I don't throw around loosely. Hell I used to get upset with guys in beer league softball camped under routine fly balls in CF dropping them and they are 35 yrs old without pro gloves and catching a bigger ball and really really far away from being the best of the best in the world.
  5. They'll do it way before mid season. If he went 7 today I'm guessing he wasn't over 100 pitches. I'm sure someone will tell me if he was.
  6. He is great. It's like arguing if God or Buddha is better . But I don't ever recall Engel camped under routine fly balls and dropping them.
  7. LOL WTF why even bring up 2020 (sss) ? It was 2 attempts in CF. It was like 2020 (SSS) . Are you kidding me bringing that up ? That's just sad.
  8. Make up call ? That 2nd pitch to Choi was right down the middle !
  9. They say they are algorithms that take a bunch of stuff into consideration. They've named some of them but I'm not remembering it all. So all you people who are into advanced metric are all of a sudden doubting their algorithms without having any idea what exactly goes into it just because it looks weird ?
  10. Light years ?Statcast OAA say they both catch more than they are supposed to in CF with their Success rate higher than their expected success rate. Looks pretty equal to me.
  11. Eh I don't know we've seen Robert dropping routine fly balls
  12. You're right . Proactive , preventive medicine , like they should 've been doing with Rodon last season !!!
  13. When he gets hurt everyone will be like I told you so, but I'd have taken him back in a heartbeat. QO then sign him asap in the off season if Boras wouldve allowed it .
  14. Rays would hold onto him and replace Moncada with him as soon as Moncada got expensive and trade Moncada for more better minor leaguers .Of course I'd probably trust the Rays scouts than ours .
  15. Which is why you see the inside fastballs and high fastballs to our righties . It's harder to drive that inside pitch to the gap in right than it is the outside pitch when so many of our RH hitters go oppo and up the middle.
  16. 1 HR and 3 warning track flyballs that inning. Rasmussen wasn't exactly fooling anyone.
  17. Yeah maybe I'm just old school but I really don't own any Apple products except an Ipod Touch 6th Generation and have had itunes forever when a lot of younger people have some kind of radio app or other ways to get music besides itunes. but I always liked loading my many CD's into itunes so it was a seamless transition for a movie lover like me to also include Apple TV among my movie apps on my smart TV.
