I'm sure it's right . I think they were 2 games over .500 after the ASG last year and combined with 2 games under .500 now gets you at .500 in the last 92. Might've been some games in the 46-46 that were pre ASG.

If you recall that play , the 3rd baseman went to 2nd base 1st to get the force out but Leury beat the throw and then the relay to 1st base still got Eloy after he half-assed it in a close game where 2 runners on might have been the difference.

I included Katz because no one from management should be excluded. Besides that since I have always been among the more vocal re: everything Rodon, Katz should have had some input last year about how they were abusing him. I realize that when you are pitching so well that the temptation is great to let him just keep pitching. However he and the rest of whoever else they use to keep players healthy was not applied to Rodon last year and I have my doubts when the same people are handling Kopech .

This team is just horrible on the road. It's why I wanted the HFA last year so badly. I have no idea why a team could be so different on the road than at home but at this point maybe they need a hypnotist. Their heads are so screwed up. I never would have thought that Abreu musing about his retirement could actually make the whole team act as if they were ready to retire and get as many injuries as if they were old people running around out there. I'm not saying Abreu set some kind of tone with his comments because each player is responsible for their own attitude, but it has made me wonder. Other than that I will now join the chorus. I said it half jokingly and never thought that the banner would actually be changed. However since we seem to be a superstitious lot I would suggest our strength and conditioning guy and throw KW in there for good measure. Also might want to put the coaching staff in it, Super Joe, Katz and Boston and whoever the hell is the bench coach. Leury is going to play no matter what with all the injuries. After all that's why he's here but putting players in the banner is not my recommendation since at this point we need every player available and having the upper management and coaches in the banner will undoubtedly make the players better.

No more players in it. Having TLR in the banner will take care of Leury.

I was kind of thinking that his play has earned him playing time but Vaughn should be the regular in LF full time now just as you always wanted and Sheets is going to DH more against RHP . You just better hope that the last few days when Vaughn collided with infielders doesn't become habitual. If that was Eloy we never would've heard the end of it. With Vaughn it's mostly crickets. I have no problem with people liking Vaughn, he's a very likable player. But usually liking him translates into people disliking Sheets more than is necessary. Sheets can't track down a flyball in the gap and it's Sheets sucks. Sheets isn't given the same rope in the OF that Vaughn is given. Granted Vaughn played LF fairly well last year and the sample size so far is too small to make much of it but Vaughn and Sheets are both racking up negative defensive WAR right now. We need Sheets LH bat whether or not people want to admit it.

And once again we are in lock step. I sent a PM to @fathom a while ago explaining my theory on Eloy. If I remember right I always thought it would be his back that gave him problems and that he would never consistently pull the ball.

Eloy probably told to hustle down the line after he lollygagged it the other day and this is what happens.

No way it reaches 10 games. If they were on the road and playing really good teams maybe but they can't continue to look so shitty for 5 more games against inferior competition.
