SO the Sox scored a run with a combo of Sheets and Vaughn . Is everyone so conflicted about it that no one said anything about it ? ?

I'm an older folk and I don't pay for cable or anything else. My son shares his Google Play account with me , I share my Apple TV account with my daughter, My daughter shares her Disney + account with me and I got a friend who shares her Netflix with me. Then I have MoviesAywhere and Vudu. Then I just wheel and deal for movie codes to share those movies with my son and daughter on Google play and Apple. I might be the outlier though among the older crowd.

I would've thought that anyone into streaming movies on places like Moviesanywhere and Vudu would have Apple TV /iTunes anyway as another choice for streaming movies since there are certain movie codes that redeem on Apple TV . Most of the very early codes did and certain recent ones like the Bond Movie No Time to Die, Apple was the only place to redeem the digital code found.

It's also pretty simple as long as your TV is capable of getting the Apple TV app. I have an Android TV and I could still get the Apple TV app and I watched the game last week on it for free. I didnt need an iphone at all because I don't have one. It's very helpful though to have an itunes account. SO I used the same itunes email address and password I used to set up the Apple TV app on my smart ANdroid TV.

Yes u can and for free as long as u have the apple TV app on your smart TV. When u go to the Apple TV app you will see an Apple TV+ tab at the top . Just click on that tab and find the game. Very easy.I tested it last week on the 1st game. If u don't have an Apple account just set one up on itunes from any computer and use the same email and password to set up the Apple TV account. However I am in California so I know nothing about blackout rules if you are in Chicago.

Injuries: Moncada, Pollock, Eloy. Full day off for Harrison (back issues) ,1/2 day off Abreu. Our depth is better than last year. Our backup catcher is much better defensively. Sheets we get from the start of the year. Our backup OF ,Engel, is healthier atm. Burger, at this time last year, wasn't even on peoples minds to play in MLB. This is how you manage when there are injuries.

Maybe , just maybe, Vaughn hasn't started a game at any position in the field since he hurt his hip diving in RF . Maybe TLR is just being extra careful with Vaughn and early indications are that he is being handled carefully in order to keep him healthier for the rest of the season since he was worn out at the end of the season since he admitted that himself. With the depth the Sox have among the players playing the field it's not an ideal situation for quite a few of the players to get as many AB's as they would like. WE may see Eloy rested in the same way after he fouled a ball off his ankle and Vaughn will start in LF.

SO has Vaughn not started a game in the field since he hurt himself diving in RF ? I don't think he has . Is it so terrible that TLR is taking his time giving Vaughn extra time to return to the field. Perhaps we see him in LF today with Eloy out.

There are a lot of good players on this team and some are young. Other guys have to get AB's who have talent too. According to the Vaughn jockeys Vaughn was tired at the end of the year but now he's supposed to play every day ? I get it the guy is a superstar in training, he should be in the lineup every single inning of every single game forever, the next Cal Ripken , Jr. People acting like they don't know anything about how baseball and team play in order to win a championship works. He must become the stud he was meant to be and a few less AB's than 100 % of the time could ruin his development !! It's how panicky fan boys act because everyone hates TLR and he's doing all these things upper management doesn't approve of. Why hasn't he been fired yet ?? You must trade Sheets in order to prevent this madman from trying to find out if Sheets can actually contribute as much as he did last year ! It's all so petty. How did Sheets deserve that ? He only had a .900 OPS against RHP last year and all you hear about his stats are because they were cherry picked. UM OK wasn't he facing the same pitchers everyone else on the team was who didn't have a .900 OPS against them ? . Ok What about the fact he was our best power hitter in the playoffs ? That's an even smaller sample size than his season stats !! OK but all playoff stats are small sample size and being hot in the playoffs is what gets teams championships . OK wait if you think all Sheets stats are the result of cherry picking and small sample sizes, Sheets had more plate appearances against RHP pitching than Vaughn did against LHP last year. Does that mean Vaughn's great stats against LHP are also cherry picked and SSS ?? OK WELL um Vaughn is the 3rd overall pick in the draft and a generational hitter !!! He isn't that guy from last year against RHP anymore because he's crushing them this year !! Ok isn't that a small sample size too ? Play nice , play fair. The Sox are not going to prevent Vaughn from being all that he can be. But I suppose the same panic and blame will ensue if Vaughn slows his new found glory against RHP . It will be all Tony's fault for ruining a budding superstar !!

Why work yourself up over it ? 1st of all it's not true and 2nd of all even if you think it's true it won't remain that way for long . The cream always rises to the top. Maybe TLR knows what he's doing.

This game is in jeopardy if the Sox don't score more. Expecting a patchwork BP to give up 0 runs in 4 innings is asking a lot.

In RF and LF its actually harder because of the fence that has padding at the top only , so you have to avoid the padding on the way up or you don't get a true leap or reach an apex.

Engel is so good at finding the right place to stand then jumping straight up. A lot of OF will hit the fence when they jump backward.

That was a cute lil play.
