  1. Man I love that LH DH 1st baseman the Phils brought up a little over a month ago, Darick Hall. He has really stepped up. Just a couple years ago he was in the minors ,AA hitting HR's , taking walks and not much else. Then he plays in a Mexican league doesn't do so hot there but the Phils stuck him in AAA anyway and more of the same HR's and walks. But this year he starting doing much better in AAA hitting like he did in 2018 in A+. Phillies called him up and he's still hitting like he did in AAA this year in 27 games with the Phils. With him ,Hoskins and Schwarber hitting bombs they don't miss Harper as much as they could have. Gotta love a couple of other LH savages too PJ Melendez with KC and Michael Harris with Atl.
  2. Somebody has to have a long serious talk with him and tell him to be truthful if his oblique is bothering him. If he says he's fine .Go over each of his last 20 or so AB's and ask him what he's thinking on each pitch and someone with a good understanding of hitting has to tell him where his thinking is wrong and tell him to swing like he means it. Use pitch data you have before that . See how they are pitching him . Lots of changeups , curves , sliders ? How many fastballs is he seeing ? Give him a better understanding of himself and his swing . Concentrate of his LH AB's because thats the majority of his AB's. Also if the Sox are upset with him in any way because of his personal life tell him if he can't help the team and get his act together he'll be back in the minors until he does and that he's hurting the team and letting his team mates down. He must be dedicated to baseball and work hard and want to be much better. He owes it to himself and his family to be the best he can be.
  3. If I had to guess ( and I do ),it's still lingering doubts or pain because of the oblique injury. In the field he doesn't have to do a lot of twisting. Every swing puts a lot of stress on your core when you're body is acting like a cork screw .
  4. Vaughn HR. Gio pitched decent. 4 guys with 3 or more hits . 15 hits total. A walk in the park. 8-2
  5. Took 2 2 outs hits and a walk to score Eloy but he finally came around.
  6. I was about to chastise Luis for swinging at pitches out of the zone with 1st base open but then pitcher decides to go in the zone and Robert made him pay on 0-2.
  7. Mistake by Howard getting that pitch in the zone.
  8. You're like 3 pitches ahead of my ummm feed.
  9. More runs please. Howard isn't on his game , more extra base hits . Let's go !
  10. Less flexibility from bulking up in the off season !
  11. Even during the rebuild years The Rangers didn't win season series from the Sox like they have already accomplished this year.
  12. Vaughn GO means the Sox now 0-14 w/ RISP in the series.
  13. I mentioned him the other day but no way the Sox do that. They are just going to keep trying to get Yoan right. He provides more positional versatility than Burger but MLB vs. AAA RHP pitching huge difference.
