  1. I agree with getting rid of sandy, he never impressed me anyway with his ability to call games. I think Jamie calls a good game, and works well with buehle especially. Plus you cant argue with someone at the bottom of the order getting base hits. I think Jamie and Ben should do just fine
  2. There in lies the dilemma. I think that Uribe and Willie turn one of the best double plays since ozzie and joey. But I would like a new SS to bring in some consistency, and some error free fielding. Juan's K's still bother me, because he swings at bad pitches more than Vlad, and Vlad hits them out.
  3. I disagree, I dont like willie in center, I think he turns the double play better than alot of 2b I have seen, especially better than juan does from second.
  4. im going to start the "release senor strikeout club" (valentin)
  5. holy s***, did paulie just score from first????
  6. i still think that this is the best one i have seen that is somewhat acceptable for me :fthecubs
  7. I agree, even if everyone knows what pitches are coming, and where they will be located, they are so off balance that its hard to drive any of that stuff to the gaps. It was like last night where Big Ben called that weird fastball on the outside corner, nobody can drive that balls to the gaps And on Adkins--i cant recall seeing a pitcher for the sox who threw so hard with so much movement on every pitch, he has to be tricky to hit against
  8. BTW prior is overrated, nice walk ratio, he has been figured out, i would rather have santana. hudson, mulder, schilling, zambrano, than I would want prior
  9. Heres a trivia question along those old time stories, who were the two old sox mascots about 20 years ago
  10. wow, i got topped, senor strikeout is the best fit for sure. Although he has a HALL OF FAME mustache, he has a little league coach batting approach. Im pretty sure I could make him swing and miss, is there anyone in the league that doesnt know what he cant hit???
  11. hey super steve!!!!!! reading is fundamental, never did I say anything about pierre or catalaf***ass, if you would read the posts, you would see i was giving props to the lineup with crawford as the leadoff, nice job typing for 3 hours, but its another crede, swing and a miss
  12. My bad, I guess we should upgrade the team then. Well lets go ahead and buy the infield with our unlimited cash, and pick up Pedro and Pavano by luring them with our deep pockets. While we are at it, how bout buying a closer and maybe another set up man, because while the money is flowing
  13. downgrade from what??? The black hole a the bottom of the order, or the terrible OBP of half the infield, which one do you think is a winning combination????
  14. dont listen to them supernuke, I like that lineup. And I dont know why anyone would pass on Odalis Perez, unless you have some dreams of steinbrenner buying the sox, we wont get Pedro EVER, we wont get Randy, EVER. A rotation of 2 solid lefties, and a 2 powerful but nasty righties and a sinkeballer sounds pretty damn good to me. And as for the no thanks you for Perez, a 27 year old pitcher throwing 6 k's per 9 with a 3.22 and only 37 walks looks damn good to me, in fact looks just as good if not better than Buerhle, hmm two of them in my rotation, sounds like playoffs
  15. all the hitter he faces looked confused on their walk to the plate. I figured the only one who had a chance was the last guy up, just because he hasnt seen much major league pitching. But even he looked like a lost puppy, I love shingo
  16. maybe we can call Jose SIR STRIKEOUT for his new nickname :fthecubs
  17. thats what im talkin about!!!! way to go Cotts!!!!!
  18. no problems against lefties?????? whats our record against left handed pitchers??? it doesnt matter if maggs was hurt, hes not coming back anyway
  19. keep in mind he is good against lefties, he was successful as lead off for the flubs, and he killed amnerican league pitching, def an upgrade over willie
  20. I think that adding Beltre, and Renteria would fill some of the holes, but realistically, i would mind seeing Carl Crawford in center, move A-Ro to right, Alvarez at short, third base is a mystery
  21. I agree, although I love Coop, I think that there has to be some reason why our pitchers seem to be very mediocre, especially when it comes to developing young talent. And I will still keep pushing for Odalis, you know the rotation looks good with two solid lefties
  22. Other than those rants, I think that Arnie did an awesome job in relief, I figure that was the best outing I have seen him in yet, I think the long relief spot could be his next year
  23. i've never seen a pitcher so afraid of the other teams hitters, considering what contreras can do, he is nothing but biatch as soon as someone makes contact, I mean come on
  24. im just sick of the 18 pages of the greatest baseball team ever the flubs, and nothing much else, like I care what farnsworth had for breakfast
