I respectfully disagree. Aerosmith is damn good, but I just don't think it gets any better than the Band. To me, no one has made a song than more emotionally provocative than Katie's Been Gone, Night they Drove Old Dixie Down, or The Weight.

Aside from best voice in rock, which I agree is Delp, I think one of the coolest voices ever has to be Randy Newman. And he has some absolutely fantastic songs to boot. In addition, I'm prepared to make the assertion that the best band to ever come out of North America is...The Band.

My not-very-bold prediction is that within two years Northwestern will have gone .500 or better in the Big Ten.

Isn't Fruendt supposed to be pretty decent, too?

Nah, right on Lake Monroe, up on a on hill (sorry I can't get more descriptive...it's like 10 minutes off of 37, there's a big field of grass leading right up to the lake, with two equal sized hills on each side). It wasn't so much a hike as just sort of chilling and wandering around.

Honestly, I don't want Hardy. Watching him all year, I got the distinct impression he relies on his physical traits, nothing more. Always seemed a little lazy. I could be wrong, though.

Lesson of the day: If you're on a hike, and you see this little overhang that looks like it would be good to sit on, DON'T SIT ON IT IF IT'S TWO FEET FROM A 40 FOOT DROP. It will be very hard to get down, not to mention it will scare the crap out of you. Yeah, that wasn't smart.
