  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) Illinois class 4a, first team: Kevin Dillard (5-11 Sr., Homewood- Flossmoor) Mike Dunigan (6-10 Sr., Farragut) Iman Shumpert (6-4 Sr., Oak Park) Nick Fruendt (6-5 Sr., Batavia) Brandon Paul (6-3 Jr., Warren). How good is this kid supposed to be? Northwestern returns everyone, and will this kid help any? I'm always pulling for Northwestern (except when they play IU, of course).
  2. I'd be happy if they picked up Kevin Jones.
  3. That would work for me.
  4. QUOTE(JuiceCruz16 @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) IU is losing another recruit. 4 star guard Terrell Holloway announces that he is getting out of his letter of intent. He said it should be official today, but he will be free and clear of it by the end of the week at the latest. Yeah, him and Ebanks were the one with that clause in their LOI that let them out of it if Sampson was gone. The other two recruits, Pritchard and Roth, would have to be released from their LOI's by IU.
  5. Anything from the 16th-18th won't be good for me. I prefer stuff at night (9 eastern or later).
  6. We have a decent group of receivers, but it's going to hurt them next year that they won't have Hardy to take some pressure off of them. If for any reason this suspension extends into the regular season, we're screwed. The backups are, to say the least, not very good.
  7. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 04:35 PM) looks like ebanks has decommitted. From the sounds of this article it seems as if he hasn't yet. However, I'd be surprised if he's playing at IU next year.
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 5, 2008 -> 11:41 PM) That wasn't you on the court by any chance, was it?
  9. I think in practice almost no one would have a problem with this. If IU suddenly made HPER only available to women six hours out of the week, I really wouldn't care. The only people who do seem to care are the ones who want to make an issue out of something that really isn't. That being said, I see where you guys are coming from in terms of the principle of the action. I feel the two groups are divided between practice vs. principle.
  10. Yeah Senior Night was good. I also liked how they honored seniors from other sports and the Student Athletic Board, I thought it was a nice touch.
  11. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 4, 2008 -> 09:40 PM) Nice work OSU, Wisconsin owes you one. Go Northwestern. It's my last hope....
  12. That was a somewhat demoralizing loss. But better now than in the BTT.
  13. I just don't think Beasley's game will transfer well to the pros. He won't be able to bang as much inside in the pros, and I don't think his outside game is good enough either.

I just saw No Country For Old Men for the first time tonight, in fact. I somehow feel that that was a proper ending, but it wasn't completely fulfilling. Maybe I'm just too programmed to Hollywood endings.
  15. Indiana is off to a 1-3 start. They lost 2 of 3 last weekend to LSU, then lost 12-5 to Illinois State today.
  16. Is that the same Guinn who was drafted by the Sox this year?
  17. What sort of job are you looking for? On a related topic, what sort of jobs do people here have? Perhaps that needs its own thread.

I'll need to get one or two soon. How much should a cheaper one cost me?
  19. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) Shows Boy Meets World The Jersey Are You Afraid of the Dark? Two best Disney Channel original movies- Johnny Tsunami and Brink. 1999 was a good year.

To continue my 90s education, I've been listening to Films About Ghosts recently, the Counting Crows greatest hits album, and it's fantastic. My favorite song so far is Mrs. Potter's Lullaby.
  21. There's supposedly a press conference at 6. Here's the link if anyone wants to watch: http://www.heraldtimesonline.com/hoosiershq/stream.php
  22. Yeah, the past two days have been pretty crazy. It's hard to know what to believe, though most reports now are saying fired/suspended/resigned, which means he's gone right away, in any case (except in the case of suspended, then he'll be gone in 10 days, but he wouldn't be coaching between now and then).
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) Let me know when any Northern team consistently represents one of the good teams in college baseball (with the exception of Oregon State). The argument is that part of the reason that they consistently don't do as well is that southern teams are able to play and practice for a lot longer than a Northern team can.
  24. Who does everyone think is going to win the Big Ten? Rest of season schedule: Indiana: @Northwestern, Ohio State, @Michigan State, Minnesota, @Penn State Michigan State: Iowa, @Wisconsin, Indiana, @Illinois, @ Ohio State Purdue: Minnesota, Northwestern, @ Ohio State, @ Michigan Wisconsin: @Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, @Northwestern
