  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Between 66 and 72. Huh, I thought I was in pretty good shape. I don't think that's bad, more like average. Bad is 80-90. It's not exactly 100% fit, but again, not bad. I just did a rough count, and mine is about 60.
  2. Yeah, I like those Capital One commercials, like Gold said. "Ooh, I'm shaking in my bright yellow shirt." Also, if you want to go old school, the "Chicks Dig the Long Ball" was hilarious.
  3. Walker gave up 5 unearned runs? Wow.
  4. It's hard to judge power numbers for prospects. I wouldn't completely label him a guy lacking power yet.
  5. Sad to see him pass on. How many Justices are there now?
  6. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) Where I came from Where I come from, there's cornbread and chicken. Anyone has any clue what I'm referencing and they get a virtual cookie.
  7. I'm surprised Warren took Maine South AT Maine South. That's hard to do.
  8. There's a difference between relying on Power and having a homerun threat. The best combination, IMO, is to have a mostly average/speed lineup with a couple of power guys. Not having a 30-HR guy in a lineup can hurt. And on the power note, other than Konerko, who are some of the biggest power bats up for Free Agency this offseason?
  9. They lost Sean Price, but they are still ranked 4th. Does anyone know where Price went to school? I heard he was pretty heavily recruited.
  10. Yes, College Football> Pros. Isn't the NIU-Mich game at 1:30? Unless you meant 2:30 EST, of course.
  11. Pimp Daddy Seymour Ice D. Magical T. Rockefeller Golden Brown T. Shmoove Mr. White Chocolate Seymour Slim Diamondtrim Seymour Glide Stealth Maestro T. Glide And my favorite... "Fine Ass Seymour Beautiful"
  12. Yes. Her sweet 16 party was also 140,000 dollars. And Mommy picked up everything.
  13. I like how it's called Rapex (almost like a pre paid programming commercial). Kind of like Carmax, but without the cars. In all seriousness, I think there are more, uh, productive measures one can about that sticking this thing up there.
  14. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) If MTV"s Sweet Sixteen show (Unfortuantely, I'm drawn in to it) has taught my anything, it's the spoiled rich produce arrogant children who expect everything at their disposal. No sixteen year old should receive a new car, much less an Audi 500 or Landrover. Yeah, I was watching an episode last saturday, this girl was yelling at her mom and saying it would be her "worst birthday ever" if she got a 4 or 5 year old used Audi. Pfft, give me a 10 year old Chevy and I'd have been ecstatic. And no, I did not get a car on my birthday. I know a few people who did, but a large portion of my friends didn't.
  15. I was just wondering what everyone thinks about this. If your family has a enough money, should you get one? Should you have to buy it yourself? Should you have to pay the insurance, gas, etc.? Just interested in what you guys think.

    $30 got me..

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) The green is not needed in that case... As far as $75 a month for insurance, I wish. I'm probably going to have to sell my Lincoln 2-door for a 4-door Mazda 626. I know I can get the good-student discount though. At least you have a car.
  17. Ah I see. I knew I heard 5000 somewhere. I just knew it was more than Pearl Harbor (I think).
  18. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) The truth is, unless you have a specialized skill set (EMT, rescue, medical...) they don't want us now. But they do want and need our donations. Just be careful who you donate to. There will be heartless scum who are just looking to scam you in wake of Katrina.
  19. QUOTE(bmags @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 05:17 PM) that is absolutely incredible. SO many tragedies in one week...though i think this trumps everything...we're talking about 1/2 of our death total on 9/11...i'm just doing that to put it in perspective of how massive a death tolll that is. Not to be a stickler, but it's about 1/5. 5,000 died on 9/11, right? Terrible tragedy.
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) you gotta love the lead off man of the future Owens, 24, has been the catalyst for the Barons offense all season long from the leadoff spot. He currently leads the Southern League in several offensive categories including hitting (.337), hits (169) and runs scored (95). I love how we got Owens essentially for nothing, since all we did was trade Escobar for him.
  21. Everytime I see Brooks's name for Kanny it seems like he's getting shelled. What's his ERA at Kanny?
