Bulls and Celtics
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) What were they saying? I was watching something else. They were just saying stuff about how the Bulls are winning the games they are supposed to win, and how a young team like the Bulls that wins gives hope to other young teams. I only caught the tail end of it, sorry.

They're talking about the Bulls on the ESPN halftime show right now.

Do I want to what they mean by limp? And thanks, SS2K5.

It's good to be smart. And at the same time, good to know I'm verrrry lucky right now.

Does anyone know

-
Does anyone know
Well, I was just stupid...I thought that Yankees were picking up 3 each year.

Bulls and Celtics
Any time you guys want to end this bickering, you can. There's a reason PMs were created.

MLB owns fantasy baseball?
Well, it says only the cost for MLB.com will raise, however, if they charge other companies for subliscences and the like, then other services, such as Yahoo, mighthave to add on fees as well. Though, I suppose it could be challenged, especially after reading that bit about how stats cannot be owned.

Good thing I don't have to take the Common Sense portion, eh Cheat?

Bulls and Celtics
Ben "4th Quarter Heroics" Gordon, if you please. Timeout, 1:10 left. Bulls down 88-80.

Pablo Ozuna
Did you just get that issue today? I read the one I got today, didn't see that. Must have missed it. It's the college preview issue. I advise you all tp pick it up when it hits newsstands, good stuff.

Does anyone know
Wasn't it 6 Million? Picking up Mulder would be great.

Washington Nationals sign Esteban Loaiza
I dunno though, he won't exactly have the run support of a Major League team. Heck, he might not even have the run support of a Little League team.
-
Bulls and Celtics
Not looking good, have to pick it up! Bulls down 84-77 with 3:55 left. Curry just scored in the paint. 84-79.

MVP Baseball 2005
Isn't Take Two also involved with Sega in some way? I was pretty sure they were. March 1 is the release date...according to others in this thread that, is. I haven't looked it up meself. An online league would be awesome, but I'd only do it on PS2. Plus, EA has that thing where they have their own leagues now, I think. You might have to pay for it, though. And yes, there will be a few more stadiums for the minor league levels this year, I think I read somewhere. All still generic though.

Bulls and Celtics
Yup. Bulls down 82-77 with 5:55 left. Bulls timeout. Come ON Bulls. I don't think I've said that for seven years.
-
What was the Hawks best call of the year?
Definitely "COME ON TIMO, COME ON TIMO, COME ON TIMO!" He was like the little engine that could. Except that he was the little Timo that could.

ESPN Bandwagon
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) From espn. Yeah, that didn't work right. Then again, it kind of does.

Yahoo Fantasy Baseball sign ups!!!
I've never done Soxtalk Fantasy Baseball before, but I've done many a Public and Private Yahoo leagues. Like Badger, I'd love to be in one that's head to head and have a live draft. And I don't know if this determined before hand or after the season, but a keeper league be awesome. Not a necessity, just cool. And if you need any extra commishes or anything, I'd be glad to help. I'm assuming Yahoo is used, right?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 01:13 PM) Dallas has banks and stuff. They don't have a financial district. If I knew the difference I might be smarter than I am now.

College Athletes
I was under the impression college athletes got a meal ticket or something if they were on the road, but nothing much. And no, they should not get paid, for reasons already said. Free tuition, free housing, pretty much free everything.

Sox invite 17 to spring training!
Alvarez and Widger...interesting. I doubt any of the Big 4 will make it out of camp...probably just there to show them what it's like.

MLB Hall of Fame on tour
Yeah, there was a lot of cool stuff. It was all very interesting. Some quirky type things of the game too, IIRC.
