QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 08:39 PM) Wonder how many games the eventual B10 champ will lose in conference? 3? 4? 5? I've been thinking about this. My guess is 4. -
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 07:31 AM) As far as Person of Interest, it looks like maybe Camryn Manheim's Control may be more prominent for a bit. Obviously she wouldn't be a replacement for . But her interaction with Samaritan might be woven into the story.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 06:31 PM) Could be Dennis Allen or Jim Schwartz as well. Dream staff would be: Schwartz as DC, Shanahan as OC, and Keith Armstrong as ST Coordinator. Very wishful thinking. I want zero part of Schwartz. Undisciplined. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 04:32 PM) The team in blue and read. Those are the Twins. They're a bunch of p*****s Ha, that was pretty great. Just kind of a decent premiere. Nothing earth-shattering.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 07:48 AM) I remember when the call was reversed on Megatron i said "I will take it", but felt very guilty in saying so. Ha, that was exactly what I did. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 08:34 AM) I got half way through it about 6 months ago and got burnt out (having read the first two in the trilogy like 4 months before that). His books are great if you haven't read one in a while, but it's the same themes (if not straight plot points) over and over again. And so many characters to keep track of. I've just always liked Follett's stuff. Not expecting literary brilliance, but it's always entertaining and a pageturner. But yeah, there are lots of characters to follow.

I'm reading third book in Ken Follett's Century Trilogy, Edge of Eternity. Pretty good.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 11:29 PM) I have heard that Toub is head coach material though, he is very well respected around the league Yeah, Toub could actually be a pretty good hire. Could flop too, but that's the chance you take with anyone. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 08:29 AM) http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/rich-eis...t-sc-1677442800 That's really great.

There are gonna be some bad games with this type of team, but tonight was s***ty by any standard. -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 2, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) Day 3 of binge drinking, ya this is still fun. Did you survive?

Him and Rich Eisen were the best Sportscenter pairing. Eisen's tribute to him on air yesterday morning was a tear jerker.

QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 2, 2015 -> 07:39 PM) As my wife and I are getting closer to retirement we are making some changes to our investments. One area is we have sold our undeveloped land and are looking at rental properties. This thread has helped a little in my process of putting a plan together. I've slowly developed a strategy for looking at homes. I've divided neighborhoods and/or homes into three opportunities. 1. Buy and improve 2. Buy and maintain 3. Buy and do as little as possible and keep it cheap. Aesthetically and philosophically I can't do #3. That is about as close to slumlord as can be and not my style. I will be part of the "problem" as some people see the process. We are looking at buying three homes in developments that are between 15 and 25 years old. Typically they will need new roofs and major updates to kitchens and baths. My wife also enjoys landscaping. By the time we are finished they will rent at the high end of the market with several amenities included (lawn service and water). That will push out some potential renters. But I am looking for more solid middle class to upper class renters who are more stable and more dependable. Wouldn't this segment you're targeting be less likely to rent in the first place?

IU landed Jordan Howard, 7th best rusher in NCAA this season for UAB. That should help ease the loss of Coleman. The Hoosiers nabbed the top WR from UAB earlier, too. Ok, you can all go back to talking about football teams good enough to play in bowls, now! -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 01:44 PM) "Aw nah, could it be? I just got a page and a broad wanna do me." 1992, everybody.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) You really think that the committee isn't smart enough to sort out TCU/Baylor without the Big 12 naming one the champion? Or that it helped Ohio State more to have two Big Ten voices in the room (coaches) than the Big 12 only having one voice (WV AD)? I don't think the issue is so much having someone named a champion, but having that extra game to prove something against a good team. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 05:49 AM) Pretty funny considering Bryan Bickell is on the team currently. (And Eric Daze years ago) Hey now, you take that bit about Daze back. I liked watching him and as Amonte as a kid. When Dollar Bill would let me watch them, anyway. -

Last year there was no way IU wins if Yogi only scores 5. Much more balanced offense this year. Nice to start off Big Ten play with a road win. -

Reading all these comments, it seems Illini fans feel like Hoosier fans felt last year. A team that just didn't make strides it should have, and overall was pretty disappointing. But hey, it's early, there's still time for this Hoosier team to suck! Should have gotten the win over Georgetown. They'll be fun to watch, though. Blackmon is a stud. Hanner is finally starting to look like a basketball player at least 40% of the time (still looks like a 6'9" rodeo clown the other 60%). Hartman is just a neat kid. Yogi's Yogi. -
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 02:20 AM) Like him or not, he's on the Sox Mt. Rushmore from the most memorable era in Sox history. 56 and 12 should be retired as well. I know Ozzie hate is cool, though, so yeah, maybe they should start issuing it to non-roster invitees and bat-boys. Better yet; maybe they can retroactively change Toby Hall's number to 13 and then retire it, but with only Toby Hall's name attached to get the point across. I didn't know Chad Kreuter was so loved.

Yep, that was a great response.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 28, 2014 -> 10:41 PM) I think the first step was unintentional, then the 2nd step was clearly on purpose, and then he takes all his weight off his front foot and pushing off Rodgers to step forward again. And he never once looks down, which is a normal reaction when someone accidentally steps on something, and he also never turns around when Rodgers pushes him, because he knows what he did. If he truly didn't know what was happening, he would have turned around and question why Rodgers was pushing him and yelling. Piece of s***, through and through. Aikman put it best...when you step on something on the field that's not the field, you know it. He knew what he was doing. First step was maybe unintentional, second step definitely not, especially since he then pushed off with all his weight. -

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Dec 28, 2014 -> 06:16 PM) Id think that will cost Suh a playoff game Agreed, what with his history and Raiola last week. -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 27, 2014 -> 12:55 AM) so I been wondering some stuff, like what is the meaning of life LOL NO but for reals like do flip people off with your thumb out or in? What's proper nomenclature in that situation I do in but I think either is acceptable.
