QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 22, 2015 -> 01:38 AM) Ya we're kind of the best... Now you just have to win baseball. I wonder if any school has ever done that before.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 10:39 AM) Indiana's Stanford Robinson is transferring. I wouldn't be surprised to hear someone for UI leaving at some point as well, I could see Morgan leaving at this point. Not surprising at all, he's the one I expected to transfer the most. Minutes cut way down from freshman to sophomore year, in part because there were better players and in part because he was playing worse. Rock: Yep, need one more to leave, either via transfer or to the NBA. If any of them (Troy or Yogi) go the NBA they're stupid. I wouldn't be surprised to see Priller, Hoetzel or April transfer. Holt wouldn't surprise me either. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 22, 2015 -> 10:45 AM) I suppose it CAN be, but it's not the 80's anymore. Until Izzo and Ryan retire, they're, at best, the third best program in the Big Ten. Looking back of the last 20 years and projecting ahead a little, not sure Indiana overtakes OSU, Ill or Mich either. They've been just an average program since Knight left. I think 3 sweet 16's in 20 years, 2 of those coming just recently on the heels of a perfect storm of recruiting. I'll definitely give you Ohio State, and probably Michigan, but Illinois is not a better job (nor a better program) than Indiana right now. 1. Wisconsin/Michigan St 2. Ohio St/Maryland 3. Michigan 4. Indiana/Illinois/Iowa 5. Purdue/Minnesota 6. Nebraska 7. Northwestern 8. Penn St/Rutgers

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 20, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) f***ing Crean. I really have no idea if he'll be back next year. Wouldn't surprise me either way. Everyone came out and said there were no truth to the Alabama rumors, but so far it's followed the pattern of many a coaching change. Coach has skid, AD publicly comes out in support, rumors surface of coach leaving for elsewhere, rumors are flatly denied...pretty standard. And Crean's comments at the end of his last radio show were rather cryptic. Not only do I have no clue who will be coaching next year, I have no clue who will be on IU's radar if Crean is gone. In general for coach openings Michael White of Louisiana Tech is an interesting name I've seen pop up. Good recruiter, done fairly well there.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 18, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) He played last night, but a healthy scratch tonight with Nordstrom back from suspension. Darling in net. He sure was! -
In.

QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 10:21 PM) The Marvin Gaye and PWilliams/RThicke songs don't sound so much alike to me that I would have agreed that Williams & Thicke ripped Gaye off. I would think that an appeal is in order. Oh it'll definitely be appealed. The whole "feel" basis is incredibly weak.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) Going to see Local H at HOME bar in Arlington Heights on 4/17 for 7 bucks. Cant wait to just get out and have some fun Ha, what an interesting venue. Never actually gone there just to see the band.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 05:29 AM) Leave Carl off the show for a year. While the other Gallaghers are flawed, you still feel for them sometimes. Carl has no redeeming qualities and hope he gets shived in juvey. Shameless

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 15, 2015 -> 09:32 PM) This is what the State Farm Center looks like now, major renovation started immediately after the final conference game. http://www.fightingillini.com/statefarmcenter/photos.html Gotcha, didn't realize that started so soon.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 15, 2015 -> 09:33 PM) At least I get to root against you IU fans now. Aw, been missing out on the fun all these years?

Why doesn't Illinois have a home game? QUOTE (kev211 @ Mar 15, 2015 -> 07:52 PM) ISU is in a very winnable bracket. Certainly are. It means much more to a mid-major to win the NIT, too.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 15, 2015 -> 05:19 PM) Still trying to figure out why ND's pod got sent to Pittsburgh and Maryland's pod got sent to Columbus. Seems backwards. Also, all five Indiana teams in same region together with Kentucky. Yeah, and it would have worked for the 5 (West Virginia) and 6 (Butler) seeds as well. Tough matchup for the Hoosiers in the first round, Wichita St is a very good defensive team. But beggars can't be choosers, just happy to be in the tournament. Same as it's been all year -- with our three point shooting, we can beat anybody and we can lose to anybody.

Hoosiers swept the doubleheader with Fullerton yesterday. Going for the series sweep today. Won 9 in a row.
-
Damn. Competed well, but could barely hit threes in the second half. No idea which way it'll go on Sunday.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 11:32 AM) Leases are fine so long as you know the negatives going in: most require a decent deposit (VW usually has that sign and drive deal though), they cost more in the long run if you're going to keep leasing, they have mileage and wear and tear restrictions, etc. $180 seems really low for any kind of car payment. What are you looking at? Sedans, compact or regular (think Corolla or Camry types). From what I've seen I should be able to do that, depending on the down payment. It looks like the mileage restrictions are where they can really get you.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 07:01 PM) I hope Perea is ok. That looked bad Yeah from one angle it looked real bad. Wouldn't be surprised if his knee is wrecked. That's not good, but it's not the end of the world. They played pretty well when Perea was out earlier. Beat Maryland with Hartman starting. Still firmly planted on the bubble. Win tomorrow and we're in. Lose and am not sure but leaning out.

Been combing through this thread for advice. My car ('02 VW Cabrio, just under 91,000) has had a lot of maintenance lately and I'm getting fed up with it. I have a really basic problem though -- not a lot of money for a new one. I'm thinking lease one now as it will be newer so I won't have to put up with maintenance for a bit, presumably. I'd like to stay under $180/month. Am I crazy for wanting to go the lease route? This is my first time ever looking to lease or buy a new car, I got my current one off a friend in college. If I'm living in lala land with these thoughts, tell me. Also, I saw the truecar.com references so I've been looking at that, but does anyone know a good site to compare lease estimates across makes? Mostly seems like you have to search by make first, and I'm not attached to any specific make or model.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 11, 2015 -> 05:09 PM) I'm looking for a new job next month. Actually looking to move as well. Feel like I need new surroundings. In Chicagoland or a new state entirely?
-
Beat Maryland and we're definitely in. That requires playing a hell of a lot better, though. Sigh.
