Hells yes. -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 08:24 PM) Ha same thing here. Yeah it drove me nuts. Not the time you want the dish to go out.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 01:20 PM) I've used a best buy vending machine in the detroit airport one day while I was bored. Picked up a pair of beats headphones. Was it your most expensive vending machine purchase of all time?

Some solid names on the Bonnaroo lineup. http://lineup.bonnaroo.com/

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 12:41 PM) There's been one in Yorktown Mall (Lombard) for like 3 years. Hmm. I must be thinking of something else then, because I remember this past fall Best Buy was discussing some brand new thing with their Mobile department.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 18, 2013 -> 05:07 PM) Link. Either a desperate hail mary or something they found was actually effective when they tried it out. Are those Best Buy Mobile stores popping up around the country yet? I've seen at least one up here, but I know they try things out around here first since they're based in Richfield. As the name suggests, they're stand-alone stores that only do mobile phones.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 11:07 AM) One would think the car has the right of way in that situation...I couldn't imagine a car would be expected to turn through incoming bike traffic from the rear...it would make sense for the car to use the bike lane in that instance and the bike to yield (or perhaps pass the car on the left) until the car made the turn...otherwise, imagine if a car was waiting to make the turn while the light was green and the car had to constantly check his mirror to make certain there were no oncoming bikes trying to pass on his right from the rear....that wouldn't make any sense. Welcome to Minneapolis. It's become second nature for me to check my mirror for bikes when making a right turn or changing lanes.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 18, 2013 -> 11:09 AM) Yeah, went to both. Minnesota absolutely dominated most of the game, I think the shots ended 38-19 too. Few good bounces for Wisconsin and they were up 3-0. It also was tough because the ice was getting worse as the game went on. 1st period was fine, but 2nd and 3rd, the south zone was pretty bad. It was period 5 and 6 of the day so it was to be expected. I'm hoping the Gophers win it this year. Haula and Rau have been lighting it up, and Bjugstad's been Bjugstad. They're just a deep team. Wilcox has looked god in net for a freshman, too. -
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 18, 2013 -> 12:14 PM) PSU and Neb should be locks, I'd put Iowa at about 50/50, OSU maybe 25/75 and Michigan at 10/90. I'll take .500 if we can get there, but at this point 8-10 will get us into the tournament. I agree with everything said here, except if that Iowa game is in Iowa City, I'd favor the Hawkeyes by a little. I think Iowa is still way underrated. I'm not talking in terms of resume because of they haven't really played anyone, but just as a team.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 15, 2013 -> 11:06 AM) That's because he was pushed in very hard by IIRC Seabrook. It was actually a good no-call. I think you go to the games so you likely didn't see a good replay, but it was the right call. Agreed. Foley even apologized to the refs after seeing the replay. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 13, 2013 -> 12:47 PM) How hard could heading vast and far reaching international conspiracies actually be? Not sure, let's ask Jason.

Here's an interesting bit of language stuff for you that I learned today: Apparently "resign" is a poor translation of the Latin, and "renounce" is the more appropriate word. Makes sense, since "resign" implies you're accountable to a person/entity above you (an earthly entity).

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 02:05 PM) I swear, Welsh-Ryan Arena was built on an Indian burial ground. Well, there was a Potawatomi village located where Indian Hill Country Club is now, but that's about 10 minute drive North of Welsh-Ryan. Seems a bit far to walk to bury your dead.
-
QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 02:30 PM) A few whiskeys, nothing too mad, to limber up before the 22hr round trip to Glasgow tomorrow for some Champions League football. Few Celtic songs on the go to add to the mood. Happy days! You're such a fantastic person.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) Some of it appears to be "radiowaves give you teh cancer!," some of it is "Agenda 21! UN is taking over!" paranoia and probably with heavy overlaps. I just like how some people in the comments said they wanted to sue in Federal Court (and I think the group these two women are a part of already is suing). So, you're saying you're scared of the Big Government of your locality, and are thus trying to seek help through the federal government? Say whaaat.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 10:53 AM) Last night's "Girls" was the least believable 30 minutes of television ever. I had conflicting feelings. I thought the episode, in the context of the rest of the series, was terrible. That said, I thought Dunham's performance in it was her best yet.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 12:23 PM) I agree with Pat Foley's sentiments on the matter. I was flipping between the two and heard him. It was funny. I dug the Levon Helm tribute, but the Marley one was terrible. Jack White gave a good performance. Channel Orange probably deserved Album of the Year, even if it wasn't my favorite of the bunch (that would be Blunderbuss).
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 03:43 PM) I didn't realize there was so much crazy opposition to "smart" meters (see the comments section) http://naperville.patch.com/articles/naper...member-arrested Surely this is another episode of suburbanites creating their own drama, much like "Patty's husband is running for the School Board, can you believe the nerve? Everyone knows he had an affair with the nanny when the kids were little."
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 06:40 AM) Carl was the man in this episode Definitely. The best episode so far this year. "Summer of love? No, it was the summer of 'drown the whitey.'"
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 07:12 PM) They dancing. They gotta be at this point.
-
Illinois, you're such a conundrum.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 02:34 PM) Except me cause I'm perfect. Random question of the day: there are only two teams in the country that are in the top 10 in offensive and defensive efficiency according to Kenpom, one is Florida, who is the other? B>W you don't get to answer. I think Indiana is ~15th defensively, so I'll go with...Kansas?
-
Great win, especially since it was mostly the result of excellent half-floor play.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 04:41 PM) Farmteam, chill out dude it'll be OK http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFteLOCepZo...eature=youtu.be Dammit, I can't believe my dad put that on Youtube. We'll see what kind of nursing home I put him in....

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 08:54 PM) Heading back to Chicago now. Awesome! -Tyler Griffey. I hate you but I love you. -Brandon Paul had a good game against the best defender of alltime. -Zeller got MJ treatment or else he would have been largely ineffective. -Glad someone finally Td up Sheehy. And he still kept it up. I think Cream destroys him next practice. -That said he was terrific tonight. -so was Hulls. Not sire why he didn't take that last three. -Not sure why McLaurin gets so much hate. He is great at what he is. -Didn't even know DJ had 23 points. Wow. Was he on the last steal? Awesome. Good game, farmteam. Hah, not sure why I get a special shout out, but good game! Game was going pretty much as expected til that collapse at the end. Illinois couldn't miss and Indiana couldn't play for s***. Depressing that Oladipo didn't play well, especially with all the national love he's been getting lately. I was expecting to win this game and lose at Ohio State on Sunday, so if we can bounce back and win that game (definitely possible, if not necessarily probable) we'll at least get the 1-1 I thought we would this week, and a good road win to boot. That's me being optimistic right now. There's still an awful, orange flavored taste in my mouth right now.
