Don't be so pessimistic. Every time we discuss a player the Sox sign, or trade for, regardless if it's keeping someone like Abreu or signing Eaton the issue of age comes up in a negative way. Eaton is a solid player and experienced

I am good with this deal for Eaton. Speed , good defense and gets on base

i am guessing only, but I think we will still have Pioneer League baseball here next season. However, if they cut it is 2022 i think these teams should sue and the cities where they are located should sue MLB. Some of these communities have spent taxpayer money to build new ballparks to meet MLB requirements and now get stuck with no baseball teams. I just think this is a slap in the face to baseball fans that enjoy and support the game.

Can you imagine what our offense will look like with Vaughn? I have an idea and I want to see it. We have the lineup spot for him so let’s keep our own top prospect . We have options in the OF including Engel and I suspect Mazara. If not the free agent market could very well be a possibility

I am sure this has been discussed ad naseum but it really galls me to see the Smardiza (whatever) trade come back to bite us again. Semiem homered and Bassitt shut us down. Phegley was the other throw in. The A’s gained three starters who were ex- Sox and we got a toothless Shark. Same goes for giving up Tatis for Shields. That’s why I have little patience for folks urging us to trade our young talent. Even those that have struggled have the talent to turn it around

I am excited about Tuesday and the playoffs. After all the alternative is pack up and go home after this game

Too many negative comments to rebut here. To me the bottom line is most people didn’t even think we would be Looking at the Playoffs this year. Be happy with that and knowing things aren’t over till they are. We will be right in this and next year will be even better
