Rick White has been unhittable the last 10 innings or so in relief. I think he is going to be a major player for us also in the 2nd half.

I'm just making fun of us (fans). I agree Everett and Alomar will make the difference for us. I am pleased with the trades and I think we might have more on the horizon.

What is up with Dan Wright? He is too inconsistent. Pitches out of jams and all of sudden turns it around for a couple games and then starts giving up the long ball. Maybe we do need that extra starter in a trade?

I don't know. Alomar 0-3 and an error. Maybe it's the ghost of Jimenez in a Sox uniform. Everett is not producing. Worse trades KW EVER made.

Are either one in a position where they can refuse the assignment and opt for free agency? Rios was signed as a free agent. If they stay I wonder if trading them isn't part of the plan anyway? Although maybe this will be a kick in the pants for Jimenez.

I always liked Josh Paul too. It will be interesting to see if he ends up in the minors for the Cubs, which is the reason he left the Sox. He may wish he had stayed with us and taken the trip to Charlotte. he would have been just a phone call away from being back up at any time.

I think this makes sense. Graffy has not been playing much, which has surprised me since Jerry had in him there almost every game early. No reason to go over again why Konerko isn't in the line up. However, I wouldn't be trading a player with the capabilities of Paul Konerko for a number 5 starter. But, if the Sox have 10 days to decide what to do with Rios and Jimenez maybe Kenny can work a trade, which includes one or both of them. I think it might also involve another prospect type player since that is what most of these teams are looking for. Kenny W. has made things very interesting so far.

ESPN BBTN with Gammons, Reynolds and Valentine were singing the Sox praises. They all agreed the AL Central belongs to the White Sox. You know those guys on BBTN have really grown on me. They are a lot wiser now than what I remember from last month.

Dan Wright has had problems in the 1st inning and either the 5th or 6th. He has pitched fairly well though and I hope he can put together a good start, get some offense and win his 1st of the year.

I would rather see Konerko go on the 15 day DL and then rehab to get his wing back. In the meantime the Sox can work another trade and use D'Lo or Rios as part of the deal.

Not sure that Manuel is afraid to use Glover as much as pitching the 7-8-9 innings is his role. He is a long relief man and we have starters going deep in the game most every game.

I remember when the Sox gave up a closer for another teams #1 draft pick who was at that time a minor league pitcher. Karchner for Garland. I just can't see parting with a #1 draft pick with a future for a 3 month rent-a-player.

I feel strongly both ways about this trade. However, I will go out on a limb and say that the big baseball analysts predicting the Sox demise and raising of the white flag are full of it. Someone once said, "the reports of my death are greatly exagerrated." Same goes for the Chisox.

DUde we are getting a potential stud 2B for what will amount to be a future lefty set up man out of the pen. Its a great risk. I will only be sold on this trade if we win. I am not pleased that we gave up Ring, but we'll just have to wait and see. It will be interesting to see who goes down to Charlotte, unless there are more trades pending.

Harris came back nicely last night with two hits, one being a triple to right, but batting below the Mendoza line means he will have to show more than that to change a lot of people's minds. I think he should get some playing opportunity at 2B and let's see where he and the Sox are at by the break. I still think Miles is someone we should look at before closing the book on our on people.

I think Kenny Williams will make a trade. He likes that drama and sensationalism of pulling something off. The question always is: Will he screw up by giving up too much just to make the deal. I have no doubt that KW will make a deal sometime ann with somebody in the next week-ten days. I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us.

If it ever comes out that PK has a hip condition and/or KW is canned I will be the first one to appear in front of you with hat in hand and head bowed asking for forgiveness. I will also never doubt you again. But it has to happen first...
