  1. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) come on white sox, lets not look dead at the plate now. remember who were vsing, Paul byrd. If I remember correctly...we looked like s*** the last time we faced Byrd...made him look like Cy f***in Young. The Dude looks like a friggin boxcar hobo....
  2. JESUS CHRIST...the first ALCS in a billion years...and everybody on this board would probably give their left nut for....and everybody at the game has their thumb in their ass. How embarrassing. It sounds like a f***in Suns game there...zzzzzzzzzzz.
  3. And Lou Pinella brings what to this broadcast?....Mr Insightful! Man...this crowd sounds DEAD!
  4. This season, as well as the exposure and of course Ozzie could very well change to where this is one of the more desired places to play and look at for FAs...(baring there's money to be spent). This season could go a long way for the future of this team.
  5. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 01:10 AM) (and let Paulie go) Thoughts??? http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/reds...to_hasten_exit/ are you nuts?!? I really don't want that primadonna on this team....he DOES NOT fit in.
  6. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) Other than Berman being a total disgrace to every national play by play man, i have to put some blame on espn to. If you know that berman just CAN"T call it straight, then give us morgan and his guy, even though morgan is a jerk sometimes, he at least appreciates fundamental baseball and would have given us our due. Game 3 was a CLASSIC for all times, and every time they replay it i'm gonna have to listen to a game that was called in the most unproffesional way. Berman should seriously write a column saying in part that he did a poor job and give us the praise we deserve for a monumental win in our history. classless. whatever way you look at it. Other than that i just gotta say that 6th inning will live as one of the most unbelievable 58 minutes of baseball ever played that wasn't a 9th inning. wow I hate Berman as much as anybody....and even moreso after this series...but good Lord...Joe Morgan just won't shut the f*** up during the Yanks game. He just went on...and on...and on...about the goofiest s*** just to fill the airspace....LATENT BLATHER! Finally I was just like, "DUDE...shut the f*** up!!!" I actually didn't mind Sutcliffe and Piazza. As inexperienced as Piazza was...at least he wasn't to complete biased horses ass Berman was.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) Thats absolute bulls***. We better get that f***ing call. AMEN! Ozzie's gonna kill this guy in a bit if we don't get that f***in call.
  8. QUOTE(JoshPR @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) 1. Cause he sucks 2. He's annoying with his nicknames and everything else 3. He's badmouthed the Sox in the all star game 4. He works for ESPN 5. Did iu mention he's annoying and he sucks? That pretty much sums it up. But after reading alot of these posts...it's kinda hard to bash somebody that has alliances. Just put yourself in that spot if you were announcing the game. I think in the 1st inning of the 2nd game...If I was announcing...you probably would have heard..."GODDAMMIT CREDE!!!...." and probably woulda pissed my pants on the air. So...I guess I can understand the alliances...as annoying as they may be. But that doesn't take away from the fact...I'm sick of listening to Berman. I have a hard time watching Prime Time because of him.

QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) If it is coming from Due South, it would be blowing from home plate to third base. A southwest wind would be blowing from home to the mound. A southeast wind is a cross wind from first base to third base. All this courtesy of Google Earth. For those that need a visual.

QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) I remember when Hoyt Wilhelm used to pitch for Chicago. The announcers used to claim that he was most unhittable if the wind was blowing from home plate directly to the mound. This would make his pitches dance the maximum amount. The weather report says that Friday the wind will be coming from the south at 17 mph. However, I don't know the location of home plate, in reference to the mound at Fenway. I tell ya what...when I was growing up my dad and I used to play catch and he played minor league ball and on an Air Force base team and was a pitcher and threw on hellacious knuckleball. We'd always have to turn so he could throw it in the wind....and I s*** you not...there was a couple times when I thought I had it and got hit once in the ear once and the other right in the sac. You bet yer ass they like the wind. Dance is a pretty accurate assessment.
  11. I've been tolerating him this series so far and his Red Sox asslicking....but when the ball went between Graffs legs and he yells, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......." that's when I was pretty much at the end of my rope with him. I've actually enjoyed Sutcliffe and Piazza...they've added some pretty good insight. Does anybody else think that Piazza looks like he's 15 when they put the camera on all three of them.
  12. QUOTE(kman @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 06:42 PM) man idk about yall but i just went berserk, i let out a scream like mariah carey Me too....my neighbor came over to see if everything was ok.
  13. and fatass Berman is still b****in about Graffs error. The whole..."Noooooooooooooo..." was enough to make me wanna puke.
  14. Dude...what the f*** is up with Colon's hair?!? I was watchin Sportscenter last night and just cracked up at that thing on his head. What is that?!? Is it real?!? Is it plastic?!? It looks like he's wearin 2 f***in hats!
  15. Friggin AWESOME JOB!!!! I pix says a thousand words! I do that stuff for a living and really appreciate good lookin graphics! GREAT job!
  16. Pauley's made 3 huge scoops over there today! What the f*** is up with Crede?!?
  17. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Iguchi k's on a bulls*** call to end the inning... 8-2 starting the fifth. Gooch might not be fluent in English...but he definately just threw an F-Bomb there.
  18. HUUUUUUGE!!!! How stupid is Boston...setting up inside like that on Juan...threw it right in his wheel house. Thank you!
  19. Are we gonna have to have this Asslicker Berman the whole series. He's the Official Red Sox Head Giver after the games I think.
  20. I tell ya what...Jose better get that same zone. That 3-1 pitch to ARow was a f***in joke!

    Boston in

The crowd at Fenway gave a standing O when they dropped the 9 on the Sox score. The Red Sox in the dugout didn't look all too thrilled though. Maybe cause they were gettin their asses kicked at the time.
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 02:27 AM) Paulie needs to go deep tomorrow. He's sitting at 99 RBI. That's what I want to see....PK to get 100. Wasn't he stuck on 99 a couple of years ago?!?
  23. I'm not sure I like a long layoff...being rested is one thing...but too long a lay isn't good IMO. Personally...I'd rather have my starters at least get some ABs and a few innings on the field. The pitchers...yes...I'd give them a rest...but position players...not so much.
  24. Iguchi's earned respect of his peers By Jerry Crasnick ESPN Insider Archive CLEVELAND -- White Sox second baseman Tadahito Iguchi wastes little time in pinpointing the new lifestyle perk he enjoys most about the United States. It's not the pepperoni pizza, the rock concerts, the preponderance of malls or even the ready availability of sushi. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...erry&id=2178301
