While Carlton and Frank rank right up there at the top...still...one of my ALL-TIME favorites and really needs to be on this list IMO...Dick Allen.

Who'll probably be let go this week. I know he has a history of bein a pain in the ass...but Bobby Cox swears he's been great in the clubhouse and Mondesi claims he's been slowed by a quad injury that happened last year. He's only hittin around .210 right now (not much different from Dye). Would you consider him as a bat off the bench maybe. The Latin influence on this team may just give the guy a spark. The dude belongs in the AL at this point.

Oh without a doubt Uribe. The thing I always think about though is how better off would the Sox be if they'd have forked over 3 years instead of 2 for Vizquel...put Uribe at 3rd. I know the money was an issue so you might be lookin at no AJ (who's invaluable IMO). And I know hindsight sucks...but this team would be so better off with Viz at short...Uribe at 3rd...Willie in center and ARow in right. Just hypothetical if a decent discount RFer couldn't have been found.

If it included Chavez to the Sox...si Crede, BMac and Anderson to the A's for Chavez...I'd have to say yes. Think about it...KW does a pretty nice job retooling the rotation with people like El Duque and Contreras...and when was the last time the Sox really had somebody worthwhile come up in their system...besides Burhle.

I've been as anxious as anybody to get Frank back into the lineup...but these numbers don't do much for my chubby. I'm trying not to read too much into this and I realize he's just getting back into it...but... Rehab to date (10 games): 6-for-33 (.182) with four walks, seven strikeouts, one double, two runs and one RBI.

Let's see...the opposing team starting a rookie the Sox have never seen...so it's a pretty good assumption the Sox won't touch him. Hasn't that been the M.O. over the past 5 or 6 years or so? I think that is THE single thing that drives me most nuts about this team! It's only one game...plus...like a previous poster said...the Twinkies lost...so no harm. But it's gettin GODDAMN old gettin held down by people making debuts...goddamn! If I was an opposing team...that would be my strategy against the Sox...call up at least 3 or 4 AAA or AA people to face 'em.
