QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) Ya, my first ever soxfest I spent a lot of time in the Todd Ritchie/Jim Parque line. LMAO.... Those are great collectibles!

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) Ever try to play a sport with a hangover? Yeah...and probably had one of my best days ever...double header, 2 dingers, 7 RBI, 5-7 on the day and the W in the second game with a walk off GS in game 2 against the 15-1 first place team in our league...and that's no s***. Kind of takes the pressure off...you're thinkin more about your hangover.

f*** Bud HairClub!....doesn't he have better things to worry about than the Sox lineup! These guys deserved a rest. Most of them are probably hung over as hell anyway. Ozzie says..."fa heem...nobye tez me how to ra my bawclub.." My personal preference is to see the Yankmees at home....but neither team scares me.

I also like to see Pauly get 1 more RBI to get to the 100 plateau.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 07:50 AM) Funny how most people pick plays on offense. I thought Uribe's play at short the other night against the tribe was HUGE. Absolutely right on the money! Most people do remember the offensive plays...but forget stellar defensive gems that Uribe, ARow and Crede made to save big innings in one run games. Dye made some outstanding grabs in right as well. Some of these plays were HUGE and saved the day in alot of these games. Good call!

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) Please, if the shoe was on the other foot what option would you choose for the Cubs making the playoff and not the Sox. . . What option would I choose?!?....how bout the "I couldn't give a s*** less!" option.

I really don't want to hear any bulls*** about we actually "tied" for the best record with Cleveland. I know all about the series total and all...but I'd feel alot better if we at least got one W there (as moot as it might seem). Plus...I don't want to go into the playoffs on a "losing" note...and I'm sure nobody else does either. The good thing is...WE'RE IN though. A good friend of mine is an Indians fan...and I know he'd whine all f***in winter about it.

Ya know...I was gonna start a thread when I got home (thought of this at my son's little league game tonight)....but was wondering amidst all the celebration...just how Frank was feeling about all of this. You know he's happy for his teammates....but it has to just tear his guts out not being a part of it. Almost makes you wonder if he tried to come back too soon. The guy given his all to this franchise...and it's a shame he's not a bigger part of it. Here's hoping he's back next year for a second consecutive division championship by the Sox.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) 1) The Rally Crede beats the Indians Definately the Rally Crede!

These were the choices...disappointed?!?....what a bunch of f***wipes! I know I should consider the source...but just pissed me off. The Sox win the Central. How are you feeling? Pumped up Relieved Disappointed

QUOTE(NYSox35 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) That post was touching, Smalls. I'm sorry for your loss. Your Dad is up there smiling right now. Let's ride this thing out all the way this year! AMEN...GREAT POST and thanks for sharing! You can still have a beer with your Dad tonight and celebrate in your own special way. I'm sure he's there with you!

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:07 PM) oops, just read the caption When I first put it up...the Sox won 3 straight...I took it down...they lost 2 straight. I said f*** it and put it back up!
-
You watch...the f***in East Bias will come into play and they'll give it to Joe f***in Torre because he got his team on track after a horrid start!
-
Most Valuable Player: Paul Konerko (was money most of the year and only constant legitimate threat in the lineup at times). Most Vauable Pitcher: Mark Buehrle (he's the guy you want on the hill in a money game. Jose has been lights out lately and throwing the best...but Buehrle still gets the nod IMO.) Most Improved Player: Jon Garland without a doubt Most Pleasant Surprise: Pollite Best Offseason addition: Damn...AJ,Gooch or Podz...I go AJ just because that position has been stabilized. Biggest Disappointment: Greg Walker. Honestly...just what the f*** does he do?!?
-
HUUUUUUUGE WIN!!! Cover story on espn.com right now (waiting to be loaded.) Jose is the s***! And no...don't bust my balls on the sig...first put it up...they won 3 in a row....took it down they lost 2 in a row...so I put it back up (where it's stayin to clinching)!
-
QUOTE(Y2HH @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Wow. Greg Walker needs to go. Yesterday. I said that months ago....only to ripped for blaming the hitting coach instead of the hitters. Face it...he brings NOTHING to the table.

Miguel Cabrera sure would look nice in a Sox uni if he pisses off the Marlins any more (dreaming).

QUOTE(shakes @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) I've been a big advocate of moving Dye to third since Frank has been out. His second half numbers have been good. I'd like to see him hit with PK behind him. With the thinking being what?...he'll see some good pitches?!? He's had good pitches to hit and hasn't done crap with them. If...and it's a remote "if" if the Sox blow this....I'll still point to his two ABs in critical situations with RISP that he didn't come through and cost the Sox 2 wins this past week. Let's be honest...at this point the way everybody's swinging the bat...does it make much difference who bats 3rd anymore...it's almost a futile effort.

From todays column.... Ok...fess up...which 20 or so of you did it?

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Seriously. The problem is one thing. One thing only, and you can see it like there's no tomorrow. When these guys are loose, they rock. When the pressure started getting them, they get tense and try too hard. They press. When they press, they really mess up. RELAX, let the game come to you... stay with what got you this far. They do that, they'll be fine. Which is exactly why Ozzie hasn't gone off I think. I think he trys to treat his players how he needed to be treated....which doesn't work because he was always "up" on a day to day basis. That just doesn't work for everybody...there comes a time when you need to get your ass chewed...whether you're a well-behaved kid actin' up, slackin' at work, or a professional baseball team who has their heads stuck in their asses at the plate. I completely agree with your statement about bein loose...but what team doesn't play better when they're loose...and I think that's what Ozzie is trying to cling to. Maybe a little of this has been his demeanor lately...if he's uptight as s***...I'm sure everybody else's assholes pucker up. Jesus Christ....I think I'da brought in the hypnotherapists about 3 weeks ago just to get back to the mindset of June. http://www.moviewavs.com/cgi-bin/moviewavs...am=lollygag.wav

The Indians buttholes could be so tight goin into the Tampa series after losin to the Royals now. Honestly...I really don't envy their position of them HAVING TO WIN EVERY GAME this week...plus...they may be overlooking Tampa a little and ahead to the Sox...HUGE mistake IMO.
-
I really couldn't give a s*** less where they clinch...as long as it gets done and they're playing good baseball heading into the playoffs. To tell ya the truth...I don't think I've thought about Maggs once this year (unless it was brought up on here)...why waste the energy...he's a Tigger.
