  1. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) Watch that Cora gaffe loom large by the end of the game. I was just thinkin that but didn't wanna say it...
  2. f*** the strike zone...get up there and swing the bat. As long as the zone is both ways...I have no problems. That was THE weakest-ass offensive inning I've ever seen!!!
  3. The only positive with Dye right now was the graphic that he is batting .447 against Washburn.
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Because I actually think it was a good call sending him. You just don't do it with nobody out. You never make the 1st out at 3rd or at home. That same rule doesn't apply with 1 out. Plus like I said, it took all that for Quinlan to get him and he just barely got him. Quinlan couldn't of possibly fielded it any better and Jose couldn't have had a quicker tag. Anything less than absolutely perfect and a run is scored, therefor, I'd send him 100% of the time in that situation with 1 or 2 outs. Plus it didn't help that Rowand's ass was draggin on the way home. He was friggin wiped comin around 2nd. Still...VERY stupid call.
  5. QUOTE(Wedge @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) THE CLAW!!!! That was funny as s***....
  6. Hey...Pinella actually said something interesting...about Washburn's sleeves. Now that he mentioned it...it would annoy the s*** outta me.
  7. Sorry...I'm still not thrilled with the called bunt....got a run though and that's what counts.
  8. AWESOME START!!!!! Uribe is the s***! I seriously hope Pinella shuts the f*** up at some point!
  9. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 06:22 PM) Didn't you know, there's no yankees/red sox Bingo! I'm startin to have the feelin' that I'm gonna be one of the very pissed off people. Let's start this s*** already.
  10. There's gonna be some pissed off people around the US tonight. What a bunch of knuckleheads!!! Wasn't it about revenue and advertising dollars....then they do this crap. Whatever.....let's KICK SOME ASS!!!!!
  11. You go ahead. If I hear the word "crafty" one more time I'm gonna puke! How bout if I do this....I'll have "W" give the bird to Byrd!
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) That was a pathetic bunting display. In fact, that was the only time I really got pissed off the whole game. I hear ya...but I can't say that was the only time I was pissed off. That defense in the 3rd had me pretty riled. After that...the most I was jacked was PK's AB in the 8th. In the 9th...I really would have rather had ARow hit and run after showing bunt. I like the chances of him hitting a bleeder (which is good odds) through the hole than moving the runners over with the corners charging.
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) Contreras held the Angels to 3 runs in 8.1 innings. You can't ask much more than that. Our offense has to score more than 2 runs off of Paul Byrd. Contreras can't hit for himself. VERY true! For as much as the missed bunt attempts have been spoken of...if I was going to mention somebody that nobody really has brought up...Paulie really had a crappy night. He hit one off the end of the bat for a deep out to center....but his AB with runners at 1st and 2nd was the game IMO. I'm not puttin this on PK at all...but that was THE AB in the game for the Sox.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) Oh well, it was still a blast, and I find it hard to get mad at things right now. I wish I had that goin on right now. I'm still f***in livid.
  15. was a microcosm from ending it in the 9th with a 2-run jack. He hit the f*** outta the ball (again). That and Jose hangin' tough after a horses*** 3rd and a huge mistake to Andersen. One of the things they did show on BBTN...all of Andersen's jacks recently...the pitch was pretty much in the same place...low and in. So...for as pissed as I am....I think we're gonna bounce back. AJ will WILL this team to a win (as long as he stays on the f***in base).
  16. Fathom...what you said about the infield D...I know you're not puttin Uribe and Paulie in that group. I guess that's one of the biggest things that's bothered me about Crede lately. Now I don't know the guy personally from s***....but he just looks so f***in' nonchalant out there and it pisses me off to no end. On the field and at the plate....he looks like he couldn't give a f*** less what happens. I'm sure this isn't the case...but GODDAMN it pisses me off....ten times when he f***s up these little bleeders at 3rd. And him comin up in the 9th...I turned to my son and said, "ten bucks that this dude K's...."
  17. That the White Sox simply cannot hit fastballs?!?!? OK dips***...I hope they're listenin' to ya and everybody from Crede to Uribe....that's all they see.
  18. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) the key to this game was execution and we failed in most aspects tonight like qwert said #1 failing to get bunts down on any occassion #2 failing to realize when to run and when to not run #3 failing to act well defensively #4 failing to be patient at the plate we did all 4 things right during the red sox series so hopefully tomorrow these guys wake up and decide to execute Agreed with all except the bunts. Just how are you supposed to get a bunt down with both corners in your jock?!? Personally....I'd have rather shown bunt and either hit and run or just swung away.
  19. That's what I thought. I'd have rather shown bunt like they did and have the corners charging and take my chances with a hit and run or just swing away. There was NO WAY they could have moved the runners over with the corners charging like they were.
  20. QUOTE(Wedge @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) we couldn't get a f***ing bunt down. boo-urns. Our bunting has sucked all year at critical times....but I know alot of you won't agree with this...but I really think I would have backed off the bunt call with the corners charging (same with Pods AB). Unless he drags a perfect bunt...it's an out at second. I almost would have rather taken a chance with a hit and run because it was obvious...nobody on this team was gonna get a bunt down. On a slim bright spot....this game is a game of inches...and AJ was about .125" from it being a White Sox winner with that rope he hit.
  21. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) This is becoming aggrivating. Paul Byrd is a meatball throwing junk pitcher who typically thrives the first time through the lineup--until opponents realize what they're up against and hit him. Their plate approach is terrible. Everyone in the ballpark knows our ballclub is swinging early to avoid the bullpen, and thus far, it hasn't done much to their advantage. So now, instead of working counts and awaiting good pitches in hitters counts, they've become too aggressive. How many popouts have there been tonight? Too many in my view. Did you hear what they said about Crede...didn't even know Byrd was pitching til he got to the park. You've got to prep yourself a little for these junk throwers. They knew what to expect with Wakefield...and being patient is IMPERATIVE...which they haven't been.
  22. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Dye is rapidly climbing to #1 on my s*** list Me too...
  23. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) This booth chatter is so hard to follow im getting a headache listening to it. NO s***....I'd damn near rather listen to the Asslicker Berman...at least you could get pissed for a reason instead of for just being a dips***.
  24. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) We have no #3 hitter but Dye is still better than Everett. I agree...but Carl's swingin the bat better than Dye right now...and isn't that what Ozzie's done with the 3 hole for most of the year? I'm fine either way. JD just kills me when there's RISP....the guy I'd LEAST like to have up.
  25. QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) JERMAINE HAS TO COME THROUGH FOR US IF WE'RE GONNA WIN THIS SERIES. Is it time to move Carl back to the 3rd spot?!?
