QUOTE (sammy esposito @ May 10, 2014 -> 05:01 PM) Charlotte is a new location. lol...that it is sammy.

That's still a thing of beauty to see him square up on one. Definitely will miss that....

QUOTE (scs787 @ May 10, 2014 -> 12:43 PM) Bears trade up to snag Brrrrroooock Vereen! Love it. (The wrestling fans here will appreciate the drawn out Brock) ahhhhhhahaaa...damn.

Give me S Ed Reynolds from Stanford next and I'll be happy...
-
No...he's as big as Forte. And he's not a blazer...but his speed and quickness to the hole and in traffic is pretty good along with how physical a runner he is. His measurables don't jump out at you...but a very, very good, tough runner.
-
Being an ASU guy...I can't stand him. Very good RB...but yeah...character is pretty iffy. He's a classic example of local home town hero HS football player (Canyon Del Oro, Tucson) who stays home to play for local University and thought everybody should stop and kiss his ass. Kid's kind of a douche nozzle...but hopefully he's grown up and getting out into the real world will hopefully wake him up.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 9, 2014 -> 10:10 PM) Fantastic pick. I am much more happy now as I like how much we have improved the defensive side of the ball and how much we have improved our lines on both sides of the ball over the past two years. While I love this pick...Ego still is kind of a head scratcher. Easily could have been 1. Fuller 2. Nix 3 Sutton...which would have been amazing.
-
Love the Sutton pick! As an ASU homer that's seen every one of his games...love this! I was leaning towards Nix...but very happy with Will. You want my other ASU homer pick...whoever gets Carl Bradford is gettin' a crazy man who can flat out play. Wish the dude would have returned to ASU for his Sr. season...but the kid is an absolute beast. As for Sutton...lots of people b****ed about his weight. Actually the coaching staff wanted him to put it on. He just looked out of shape starting the season and got stronger as the season went on. You don't win PAC12 Tillman Award (best D player) two years in a row for nothin' folks....

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 9, 2014 -> 06:23 PM) Hageman, Tuit and Jernigan all gone Actually I'm somewhat glad. I think Hageman might end up being a huge cornflake. Was NEVER a fan of Jernigan. Tuitt I was ok with I guess. As for DT...kind of wanted Nix from the start.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ May 8, 2014 -> 10:42 PM) f*** you, Emery. 3rd straight year you've done this. What the f*** are you doing? And with that, all of the Safeties are gone. We're stuck with what we have. Conte and Mundy starting at Safety. Yikes. What a joke. Hope he's f***ing happy. I like Fuller. But not at 14. And not when the top two Safeties in the draft are still on the board. Further, this is a very deep CB class. Could have gotten a "contributor" in the 2nd-3rd round. In the 1st, you have to take an immediate starter. Not a guy you "expect to contribute." That Emery quote just pisses me off. It's like when he talked about McClellin being a guy who could contribute on special teams. f*** that. You need to take immediate impact guys in the 1st round (unless it's a QB). Then the Packers take our man Clinton-Dix and laugh in our faces. He'll end up picking off Cutler and we're all going to hurt because he could have been ours. I can just see him making some big play to beat the Bears and send the Packers to the playoffs. They beat us on the field and in the off-season every year. I'm getting sick of it. well...I'd much rather have had Pryor..not so much HaHa. I'd have taken Bucannon over Clinton-Dix. I'm not gonna dog on Emery for last year...Kyle Long is a complete stud and quickly turned into my favorite player. He should be kicked in the nuts for the Shea and Brandon Hardin picks...but overall I'm pleased with what he's done. We'll see tho on the D side... Speaking of Ha Ha... http://www.cbfans.net/forum/download/file.php?id=247

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 8, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) I think they draft another CB and move him to safety. Emery has talked about the depth in the secondary and I figure he thinks he can get a good cover guy who can move to safety. Bucanon off the board. Ward and Brooks really the last 2 safety's worthy of a 1st 2 round grade left. I'll literally s*** my pants if they draft back to back CBs! Gotta be DT....
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 8, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) Lets hope you haven't jinxed it, haha. I think Bears will have good opportunity to move down in the 2nd round and still get a DT who would maybe be a borderline first rounder. lots of good DTs left...Nix, Sutton, Jernigan, Hageman...or go S with Bucannon. cocksuck...as soon as I type that Cardinals take Bucannon. Great pick for them...team him with Honey Badger...and with Patrick Peterson and Cromartie...that's a great D backfield!

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 8, 2014 -> 08:53 PM) I like what Browns have done. I really liked getting the CB. I have quietly been pushing CB over safety (in fact had MLB over safety too) and would have taken CB or Mosely over either safety, especially Ha Ha who I think is very overrated. I think in this deep corner draft we'll see Bears select another corner, who they think they can move to free safety. We got a guy who some thought was the top corner in the draft @ 14. I'll take that all day and let Tillman and company help coach him and prepare him. I hope we get another young guy to join the secondary and think it will be a third or 4th rounder that we convert. You can find good safety's late and that guy doesn't have to be a safety as you can teach a corner to be a safety and succeed (and I love the idea of having a guy that is a good cover guy at safety…clearly they have to be able to tackle too). Completely agree with Ha Ha being overrated...I just liked the physical presence that Pryor brought back there. I miss having a big hitter like Plank and Mike Brown used to be. The Bears have complete turds back there right now at the S position and I hope Conte isn't even on the roster this year. I didn't have a problem not going DT since there's a ton of them to choose from in the 2nd. But if you stop and think about it...it seems every DB the bears have drafted in the 1st or 2nd round has turned out to be not that awful bad (sans Walt "Toast" Harris)...Wolford, Carrier, Parrish, Brown, Tillman, Manning...

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 8, 2014 -> 08:45 PM) I love Cleveland. right?!?...their fans are nuts. Happy for them right now and hope he does well for them...

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 8, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Bears take Kyle Fuller CB meh. now i'm disappointed...Pryor was a no-brainer IMO.

I'll be disappointed if it's not Pryor. Grab a DT in the 2nd....

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2014 -> 10:47 PM) Cubs' announcers still whining about the Nieto walk, which preceded the Beckham homer. .356 average coming into tonight against the Cubs for Gordo. Carlos Lee-esque. I asked this the other day on facebook about just who the eff the Cubs announcers even were. I don't live in Chicago...nor give two s***s about watching them...but GOOD GOD are they awful!!!! They make Bob Brenly exciting. That's the best "America's Team" can actually come up with.....geez us. f***ing horrible....

QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2014 -> 10:17 PM) 21k....Gordon "Rickey Henderson" Beckham deserves more respect from the fan base. dude looks stout right now. Big Ole beefed up Marky Mark...to me he looks like he did before he got hurt last year. I like the fact somebody (Semien) is pushing his ass right now...seems to be paying off.
-
I just turned on the tv and thought Lamarr Hoyt was pitching...

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 29, 2014 -> 10:56 PM) I don't think Robin trusts Semien too much. meh...or maybe it's just a house showing. Hard to buy that fact....

Can somebody tell me why Marcus was moved from the 2-hole and Gordo and his immaculate Buck-something BA was there? Just got home...

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 08:19 PM) He's 32 years old. I think that's in Cuban birth certificate years...which is kinda like half dog years....so he's actually about 54. -
