I now go to the college that Newsweek has declared as "Most Service-Oriented" in the USA and I feel like a fish out of water in that aspect because the most service-oriented things we did was visit old people in nursing homes.

I do not like the 3rd to 1st rule change whatsoever. It may frustrate you to watch since it rarely results in a pick off, but it hampers the running game for the pitcher. That fake to third may induce a baserunner who plans to steal to take off early or have to wait longer before he goes, both of which are wins for the pitcher. What will this rule change do? Save a minute on average per game? Appealing to the lowest common denominator in viewership IMO

I won't quit being a fan, but I really like our current uni's above all other ones we've had. That said, I like the Sunday alternates every year and I wouldn't mind seeing us bust out more retro uniforms or other types of things.

Weber left a lot to be desired, but I do not believe Richardson/Paul/Bertrand are bad players. We should be getting more out of them and we should have had it last season and before as well. I actually believe Abrams has progressed from last season, despite having slowed down since the beginning of the season. He plays an important role on a team where he is the only PG and he is our most productive dribble-drive player (Sorry Brandon, all we can hope for on your drives is a foul instead of a terrible shot/turnover). With that said, Weber has left us with VERY little in terms of the last couple recruiting classes. Egwu should become a good player and I've already mentioned Abrams who IMO is solid, but beyond that there is nothing. Groce has to provide very good players immediately because the recent recruiting has been terrible and the best performers (albeit underperformers) are graduating. Tough spot. At this point, I still find some culpability on the part of Groce but it is unclear how much of the problem is from some of these players having had poor coaching for too long. You can see fits and starts against these good teams where we play like we're well coached, but we always lose it. Also, Groce can shove that hedging on screens up his ass. It is very easy to scheme against and we have no defensive rotation to make up for it. Likewise with the constant switching, how many times do we need to see Egwu rack up fouls guarding a PG?

I watch the Discovery Channel sometimes.

Hockey is most definitely the best sport to watch live. I love being at a baseball game, the atmosphere is amazing, but you miss out on some of the intricacies that you can pick up on by having the perfect angle. Not so at a hockey event.

Tyler Griffey is 0 for his last 20 from 3. Our offense is lost, it's more or less how it was with Weber. Nobody seems to understand what the end goals of the offense are so they just keep passing along the 3 line hoping something happens until the shot clock winds down. That, or we take an ill-advised early shot. We need a point of focus, like getting an entry pass into the post or driving every time x happens. It's clear that they are more or less aimless every time down.

If the Rs think the sequester gives them leverage, they're wrong

My hunch is that Santiago has a head start on Q in the race for the 5th starter spot.

I see Stewart starting in AAA. I'd be shocked if he does anything other than that.

While I can't blame someone for wanting to make more money on Star Wars, it's worth questioning whether the Star Wars concept can succeed today in any form. Liking the original Star Wars is in part allowing it to exist in its original context, where it was revolutionary and far more novel. Just a thought.
