  1. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:44 PM) I was gonna say, it's a miracle if we can win the division by pitching guys like Santiago and Omogrosso I like Hector, but this late in the season he won't get the luxury of working out of very many of his own jams
  2. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) Checking in... nothing ever seems to be easy these days What happened to Santiago? lost a battle with the strike zone
  3. I almost s*** my pants. holy s***.
  4. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) His venom is only focused in areas like relief pitching and sometimes rookies. The entire offense could get 1 hit by all sorts of garbage and he wouldnt pop off. Get a rookie reliever to walk a guy and he groans and moans. He sounds like a southern Santo these days. hitting w/ RISP has been a pretty frequent topic of conversation as of late
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:35 PM) Ha no, the Sox will miraculously get out of this mess. Only to some how find a more brutal way to lose later on. lol I feel like this is somehow more likely as well Have a day, Matty Ice!
  6. Finally got a slider near the plate against a righty
  7. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) I'm thinking his windup shows the hitters a pretty good view of his grip. This is what I'm thinking too
  8. Hawk is livid, so much for the Hawk that is supposedly ra-ra all the time.
  9. Someone needs to talk to that umpire
  10. Someone needs to talk to that umpire
  11. Anyone else confused as to how Jones's fastball doesn't seem to blow anybody away?
  12. for f***'s sake one of those two has to be a strike
  13. I've never seen a guy that hits 100 so often miss bats so rarely
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) We don't just walk guys, we walk the other teams s***tiest guys. Lilli is a great guy!
  15. Nasty 0-1 changeup, throw that again but a little lower
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) Hopefully Lillibridge messes up a bunt like he did when with the Sox
  17. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) I figured he would get better as the season went along. Not to regress and to regress at this point in the season. I think a huge confounding factor here is the fact that players aren't doing as well. It makes every decision less likely to work out while simultaneously making each decision a higher leverage one.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) The problem is that on paper, our pitching staff really looks bad next season w/out Peavy. I mean really really bad. Laughably bad. Considering our recent history in free agency and lack of good pitchers out there anyway, next year could be one of the worst seasons we've experienced in a long long time. Huh?
