  1. Paul can't do anything right anymore
  2. I'm getting sick and f***ing tired of Tank being unable to turn around a fastball in fastball counts
  3. Snyder is one of those annoying catchers that keeps telling his pitcher where the pitch was supposed to be.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 03:01 PM) Play at home is pathetic ALL year................anyone that thinks this is good baseball is nuts. The idea that any team plays good baseball all the time is the one we have a problem with. People that lose their mind over short bouts of bad play are bad coaches/players and are boring media members and annoying fans. I don't believe that the "poor play at home" has anything to do with anything. Bad luck. They aren't taking a different approach to the game at home or anything like that. Let it work itself out over the course of the season. By the way, another thing we like to do is call games before they are over. That too is annoying.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) I have no clue why it would be "Mark Parent" calling all the pitches. He claims to do the pitch calling, per frequent cuts to him doing so and his interview on 670 this morning.
  6. The person I'm most upset with is Mark Parent, if he does indeed call all the pitches. Sequences are bad, pitch variety is bad, everything. Makes it harder to be a pitcher. We don't have one pitcher that will use his changeup against a same-handed batter, which is really, really stupid.
  7. Good to see Soxtalk retaining its sanity
  8. Pitch calling remains f***ing stupid
  9. The thing about Humber is the walks. His BB/9 has never been like this at any level...makes me think something is up. Can we fake an injury so we don't have to use anyone's option when Danks returns?
  10. This should open a rotation spot in AAA for Zach Stewart
  11. I don't have a terrible taste in my mouth today. I expect him to pitch well next time out
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) Lucas f***ing Harrell. I bet this team can't wait to get on the road, cause they don't know how to win at home and that is just sad I don't think baseball players think that much about home/away
  13. One day our righties will learn not to simply attack lefties with fastballs
  14. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) i have absolutely 0 ideas as to how, but the third base situation must be rectified Dayan Viciedo
  15. Maxwell is a space cadet but appears to be super talented
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:34 PM) What kind of a throw was that? Good throw gets him. Tough pitch to make a throw on
  17. Not all is lost here....he's had a pretty good outing minus that pitch much like Floyd did. Just like Floyd's, it was the fourth consecutive fastball in the sequence
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) im unable to watch - any chance this gets overturned? They just showed a very good view showing it to be a HR
  19. The pitch calling for Humber/Floyd has been atrocious for the most part
  20. Can't be an automatic fastball with 3-2. That said, a pretty good job catching up to something up and in like that...had to have been looking for it
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) Give him time. "Streakiness" was entirely reasonable. He's still hitting better than I expected him to be. He gets all the time he wants. I just want to see an effort to cover the fastball and not just swing out of his shoes at every offspeed pitch
  22. Tank just can't hit a fastball and he can't lay off of them either (especially inside)
  23. 2-0, time to relax
  24. Harrell sucks, but his stuff has improved since he left Chicago/Charlotte
