  1. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Feb 18, 2011 -> 01:39 AM) I really need to get a ps3..... anyone know if somewhere has them for a little cheaper than the normal price? I'd recommend you buy at Costco. They will also have the Killzone 3 + 160GB system, available tomorrow for $299 I bought mine last year at Costco. Sadly, my PS3 died in the flood last year, but Costco took it back, gave me full price that i paid, and i bought a new one.
  2. Anyone ever deal with a skunk/wildlife removal company? Two days in a row it smells like skunk outside my house, and there is a hole under the shed. Dammit.
  3. is Wednesday, March 23rd at 7pm the actual draft date/time? If so, it works for me.
  4. Which wireless router do you guys recommend? Preferably under $100. I have a PS3, but don't play too much online, and while i don't steam Netflix yet, I plan on getting it soon. Aside from that, i'll have my laptops/printer/phones connected to it. Suggestions?
  5. Per Rotoworld, Joe Crede is not reporting to Rockies camp.
  6. Signed up, Jerry Owens Still Sucks Carlos Ruiz Luke Scott Chase Utley Omar Infante Ryan Zimmerman Ryan Braun Nick Swisher Andres Torres Vlad Guerrero Neil Walker Ryan Raburn Justin Morneau Zack Greinke Clayton Kershaw John Danks Tommy Hansen Brandon Morrow Aroldis Chapman Daniel Hudson Brandon Lyon Brian Duensing Mike Minor Those are my keepers as of right now. Kershaw is my only for sure keeper, the rest could be had for the right deal.
  7. The Reggie Jackson and Randy Johnson are the best. As for the Sox shirt; the Yahoo blog link lists all the players, and even asked Nike directly, just to be sure on some of the tougher ones. Nike came back and said it was "Wade Boggs", lol. After doing a search, they come to believe it is Ozzie. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_leagu...?urn=mlb-316458
  8. Per Rotoword: Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Jermaine Dye is likely to retire. The free agent outfielder has been contacted by the Rays, Rockies and Phillies, and has probably been offered a minor league contract or two, but he wants a guaranteed roster spot and it's just not going to happen. "I would still like to play, but I think my choices have passed and teams have gone with other people," Dye said Wednesday. "I will continue to stay in shape and hopefully someone will call. If nothing gets done by the end of the spring, I may call it a career." He boasts 325 career home runs. Feb. 2 - 11:20 pm et
  9. Hollywood Blvd and Hollywood Palms have a pretty nice deal going on this Sunday, "Hollywood's Super Bowl Strike": free admission to all movies (limit one per customer), just so you say "Super Bowl Strike" at the box office. They just require one food/drink purchase per person. I can't find it listed anywhere on their site; i received the notification through email. www.atriptothemovies.com
  10. Rocco Baldelli retires, accepts job as special assistant with the Rays
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 21, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) New churro flavors for 2011.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 10:50 AM) That was unexpected. I thought that two of the 6 players actually voted in by fans would have been the captains, like Toews and Crosby. But the players voted on the captains, and chose Staal since Carolina is hosting the event, and Lindstrom since he's had a great career, and this is possibly his last year playing.
  13. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 01:46 PM) I think it would be funny if the two captains agree to take their first two picks last. So let's just say Toews/Malkin were captains. They agree behind the doors to take Sid/Ovechkin last. Nicklas Lidstrom and Eric Staal have been announced as the two team captains.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 15, 2011 -> 06:32 PM) Another poorly officiated game in the Big Ten. When is this going to be addressed? I didnt watch the NU-MSU game, but the ILL and the OSU game were laughable at times. Your Buckeye's are now #1
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) Jeter's catch in fair ground where he didn't feel like sliding and instead ran into the seats better not have been on that list, but being that it's Jeter, it was probably like #2 on the list. The only great play I've ever seen him make was the flip to Posada, and I'd still put Wise, Buehrle, and Iguchi all better than that. It's just the stage that he did it on that made it so much better. It was number 67. If ESPN did the list, it would be top 5.
  16. Rumor now is the Grizzlies are offering Mayo in a 3 way trade to get Melo to the Knicks.
  17. Trevor Hoffman and his 601 saves are calling it a career. Mariano is second all time with 559.
  18. per Rotoworld: The Nets, Nuggets and Pistons are reportedly discussing a deal that would send Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton and Carmelo Anthony to the Nets.
  19. I won't be able to attend (Friday night bowling league), but as it is my birthday, please drink a beer or two for me. Enjoy the evening, fellas.
  20. from Rotoworld: According to ESPN.com's Buster Olney, the Yankees are not interested in paying Rafael Soriano big money to be a setup man.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) Am I the only one looking forward to this NHL All-Star game with the fantasy draft? I'm with you...I think this is a pretty awesome idea
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 11:27 AM) Not exactly sure how this new All-Star thing works, but the 6 players voted in by the fans were: Blackhawks Toews & Keith, along with Penguins Crosby, Malkin, Letang, & Fleury 36 additional players will be selected by NHL Hockey Operations. The All Stars will then choose 2 captains, and then a draft will be held, in which the team captains take turns choosing among the All Stars.
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 05:35 PM) Yeah. I still can't believe they did it for Dunn. The day we sign two major free agents in one offseason is the day Juan Pierre becomes a better baseball player than Carlos Gonzalez. looks like your boy is about to get paid, per Rotoworld: A Rockies source implied Monday that the club may be moving toward a long-term extension with outfielder Carlos Gonzalez. Reports out of Gonzalez's native country of Venezuela last week suggested that the dynamic outfielder could be traveling to the states Thursday to hammer out the deal. And the Denver Post's Troy Renck was told Monday to "stay on top of this." It's going to take quite a commitment to lock CarGo up, but he appears headed for stardom and Colorado may save themselves money in the long run. Renck believes that the Rockies have offered something in the range of a seven-year, $80 million contract. Jan. 3 - 1:48 pm et
