QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) She has a certain sexiness to her. She absolutely does.

In all seriousness, I think Joan Cusack is hot.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 10:31 AM) As Much as I love Fisker.. The world see him as a REd Sox not a White Sox.. All because of that 75 series. I actually agree with you Anthrax. Fisk was, is and forever will be my favorite player. I wasn't that upset with his decision to go in as a Red Sox. I remember him from his day on the southside and that is all I need. I was at the opener whn he threw out that first pitch. I didn't know he was going to be there and when he was introduced, well, I was like a little girl at a New Kids On The Block concert.

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) Sorry to clarify I originally thought of the name Network Associates Coliseum as an example of a bad name. It is actually just called McAfee Coliseum now. Why did it have to be US Cellular Field? I would take Verizon Field, Cingular Field, Nextel Field, T-Mobile Field, SBC Field, and Comcast Field over the name US Cellular Field just to name a few. Plus I now think of Joan Cusack every time someone mentions it. Joan Cusack

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 02:01 AM) The Bears also had a passing offense in 2001. I wouldn't give up on Jones yet, at his best, he has shown he can easily rack up 100 - 150 yards rushing and is a pretty damn good receiver too. And A-Train isn't going to get a starter's job elsewhere, there's too many damn good RB's in this year's free agency. DBAHO, I agree with you with all the good backs in free agency and A-Train not getting a starter's job. But, I would say that you need 2 good backs on your team for depth issues. The Bears had that and they screwed Train around. Now, they have to draft a RB to have this again, where with The Muhammed signing and a Train resigning, they could have taken this LB or someone else at 4 and been that much better. -
I don't get The Twins love, this is the year they crumble. I honestly am more worried about Cleveland than The Twins right now.

I say Dye stays healthy the whole year and hits .275 30 100

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) It took Thomas a while to grow up and realize what it took to be an NFL player. There's no doubting that he mishandled things in Arizona. But, Arizona has proven to be a place that is better to leave than to be. He's not the only guy that needed a change of scenery from there. What didn't he do on the field last year. He had a 4.0 ypc on one of the worst lines (due to health) in the NFL. No team in the league, including Pittsburgh, was forced to run the football so predictably due to circumstances outside of Jones' control. Listen, if you don't like the guy-that's understandable. Some guys rub you the wrong way, like Aaron Rowand and Kurt Warner for me. I can respect your opinion on this. I just think that Thomas Jones can be that Priest Holmes type weapon. He's not there yet, but look at the strides he made over a full year here. If Ronnie Brown really did run a 4.3, as some unofficial timers had him at, then maybe we could use both guys. I respect your opinions here as well. I'm just venting, I love A-Train and Jones is the guy that was brought in and took his job (I wouldn't give anyone a chance in this situation) and I fully believe that Train did nothing to lose it. As I said in an earlier post, keeping Train and signing Muhammed would have given, IMO, The Bears a luxury at the 4 spot. Now, they almost have to draft a RB for depth in case Jones gets hurt or is ineffective. As much as I hate David Terrell also, I think it would be foolish for The Bears to cut him loose also, just because of depth issues. -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) I think Dodgers-SF is near the top. Very true, fans get shot and killed over that one.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) Thomas Jones is superior to Anthony Thomas. He was very good last year for the Bears. get him a serviceable line to run behind and a passing game that takes away extra guys out the box, and you turn those 950 yards into 1250 along with his receiving skills. Then why is he on his 3rd team after being 7th pick overall? I hated when he signed and I hate him now. Some team is going to get a stud in A-Train and we will be watching Adrian Peterson (the one they already have) sucking it up because Jones was hurt or ineffective. -

Somebody help, who is this Johnson you are speaking of, I'm drawing a blank. Also, I'm extremely happy with Muhamed signing. But, in a big way it pisses me off too, not that he signed, but the fact that there is a debate over who to draft now. By letting A-Train walk away, Angelo has to find another quality runner, when last year he had 1, (Train) and a serviceable bum (Jones). I'm sorry, I hate Thomas Jones. So rather than draft Williams with the 4, The Bears have to worry about another RB when keeping Train would have been the answer. Angelo has dome some really good things, but I hate him for the way he has treated A-Train and I hate Michigan too. They need to keep Terrell too, IMO. -
Ok gene, it seems that we agree on everything except Jeff George. If I were in charge I would, I would keep A-Train, but since that isn't going to happen. I would draft The RB at #4 and pursue Mushin Muhammed and put him with Terrell, Gage, Wade, etc..............
-
Are they planning on drafting a RB or WR or other with their pick? I still don't understand why they are letting A-Train walk. Train and Jones could have been Bettis and Staley, I truly belive that. I don't want Braylon Edwards. He reminds me a lot of Terrell. There may be things to prove otherwise, that's just the way I feel. And why isn't Jeff George being given another chance at this team? All the talk about bringing in a veteran QB to challenge Rex and Hutchinson. I understand that, let George do it and spend the money elsewhere. Just say no to Kurt Warner.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) Davis is still too talented to get nothing out of him. Besides if god forbid A.J. went down I would feel a heck of alot more comfortable with Davis out there then Widger. Besides hasn't Widger not even played in the last 2 years? Oh I totally agree about Davis talent. I think Widger was only out of baseball last year. I like Davis, but I also agree that Burke brings more to the table as far as versatility. If Davis were to go and AJ got hurt, we would still have Burke and then Widger, I could accept that, I think.
-
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) I agree to an extent. However there is no way Davis makes it through waviers and we can't afford to just let him walk away for nothing. It's more a case of just not having enough depth to be able to afford to let him go. Doesn't Chris Widger provide that depth now? Just seems like the only thing keeping Davis here is that 1 million dollar price tag.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) If Valdez can play 3B I'm inclined to give him the job. But if Ozuna can show that he is at least capable of handling the utility spot and keeping his head above water, than it's probably better if Valdez gets regular AB's down at Charlotte. Right On. I like the idea of having Valdez getting ready down in Charlotte in case something happens. And to quote other posts in other topics as well, I really like the idea of Adkins and Diaz and Munoz getting regular starts down in Charlotte too. Now, if they would only have Cotts do that too.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Sort of related, I expect the Sox to draft a shortstop fairly high this year. What happened to The 1st rounder,Jason Dallareo? I remember there was supposed to be the big SS battle between he and Caruso to see was going to be the future there. Was he even a Septemeber call-up?
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Don't be raggen on my boy Caruso, he had 1 good year. I liked Caruso big time. I thought he should have been ROY. It's too bad he turned out so bad.
