  1. gurantee the score will be on this right away and bruce levine say no
  2. I was at the game yesterday in the scouts seat I will say tonight's lineup looked out of whack. I had one guy serving me that iguchi should be in there and not the scrub harris. Timo, did good job last night to my surprise and basically him and scotty were the two consistent people getting on base. Now the negative part is all going to willie harris last night. First inning scotty gets on first and steals second. Willie with 3-0 count swings and makes it one out. Problem here is ozzie forgot how use ozzie ball again he did not move guy over to third and this happened twice in the game and next hitter everett was driving shots to outfield last night which I feel two runs should of came from. Plus, with bases loaded willie struck out and point blank willie dosent get it done for us.
  3. Well Crede agent is none other than kenny willams and jerry reinsdorf friend scot boras.
  4. Pray everyone tonight that mccarthy pitches very good tommrrow for san fran scout to be impressed and maybe joe crede home run
  5. Have a little faith: The rumors may be the strongest when it comes to the situation of Thomas and Everett, but sports talk radio in Chicago has also been calling for a trade of third baseman Joe Crede. Crede has struggled at the plate this season, hitting .224 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs. It's been his defensive play though that Guillen has counted on the most in helping the White Sox get off to the best record in Major League baseball. Even though Crede has not produced the numbers that some may have been expecting, it doesn't mean that Guillen has given up on his third baseman. Guillen scoffed a bit at the thought of GM Ken Williams trading Crede for another infielder. "I'd like to know what he can bring here," Guillen said of the trade thoughts. "There aren't too many Joe Credes out there. Believe me, there's not. I want Joe on my team as long as I'm manager because he's great. He's great to have in the ballpark and in the clubhouse. I wish for him, not for us but for him, that he has the breakout year we think he can Now you know what ozzie thinks
  6. First thing is first great win today by the whitesox as ozzie said this was biggest win this season seeing how we fought till the end. Second, what does getting praised by baseball tonight and showing it on there do? hmm absoultely nothing. If you wanna watch baseball tonight and wait be praised by them then your waiting for snow in july. Watch the game on tv or go watch sportsnite on comcast. Commentators dont bring up championship the team on field does whether being praised or not. go sox
  7. People its time to drop this topic and any other topic of trying get rid of anyone on this team. You cant hate crede all you want, you can chant timo sucks and crack jokes at him, and of course you can all chant shinjo go to minors. You know funny thing is we have best record in baseball. Everyone is part of the team right now. I just saw someone post Joe Crede is a scrub.. wow great confidence their buddy. Im sorry were still dreaming that Beane gives us Chavez. By the way we might as well trade Crede since his agent is Boras and ya if Crede ever did live up your expectations he wouldn't be playing here. Im happy with this team and if adding a minor and I do minor peice help this team I am for it.
  8. I will wait till something happpends until then nothing more then ya rumors
  9. Everyone on here has said that reason timo is up here and playing is because he is ozzie guillens love child. Your one of person who hates him and most people agree on here that he is ozzie gullien's lovechild cause he won't send him down to minors for your liking. Hence why I said those comments. Shinjo is still here and so is Perez deal with it.
  10. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) I have no idea what that means. Dont bother explaining. I dont care. Lets see your opinion you think timos ozzie lovechild so lets see that means ur opinion dont matter to him and ya timos stayin
  11. Phillies acquire Urbina, Martinez from Detroit for Polanco Phillies Headlines • Abreu making strong All-Star push • Phillies sign first pick Costanzo • Phils select third baseman Costanzo • Phillies pleased with Day 1 picks • Abreu helps Phillies fly past Rangers • More Phillies Headlines ADVERTISEMENT print this page | e-mail this page Veteran relief pitcher Ugueth Urbina and infielder Ramon Martinez were acquired by the Phillies from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for infielder Placido Polanco, General Manager Ed Wade announced today. Urbina, 31, has a 1-3 record and 2.63 ERA in 25 games. Over his last 10 outings (10 innings), he hasn't allowed a run and he has recorded six saves. The right-hander has fanned 18 batters in 15 innings over his last 13 outings. Over his last 12 appearances, the Tigers are 12-0. Martinez, 32, is hitting .268 in 19 games, including 15 starts. He has played shortstop, third base, second base and first base. Martinez is a right-handed hitter. "Urbina is a quality relief pitcher who gives us depth on a key part of our club," said Wade. "He's pitched on a championship team and can pitch effectively in tight situations. Adding him to the back end of the bullpen with Rheal Cormier, Ryan Madson and Billy Wagner gives us one more strong piece at the end of games. "Martinez is a player who we have liked since his days in San Francisco. He should be able to move in and help our infield depth. "We hated to trade 'Polly.' He is a professional, winning player and a tremendous person. He will be missed in our clubhouse. But we knew that there was a lot of interest in Urbina and we had to pay a steep price to get him," added Wade. Urbina, a two-time All-Star, has played 11 years in the majors with the Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins and the Tigers. He's appeared in the post-season with the World Champion Marlins in 2003, saving four games and winning one. For 527 career appearances, Urbina has a 40-46 record, 3.39 ERA and 236 saves, ninth among active pitchers. Martinez, who was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 10, 1972, has been in the majors since 1998 with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs and Tigers. He is a career .268 hitter. Both Urbina (3/29/04) and Martinez (1/5/05) were signed as free agents by the Tigers
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Im dealing with it by complaining. So you deal with that. aww thats just too bad. your not ozzie love child sorry
  13. Everyone can complain all they want him gone but hes staying so deal with it.
  14. o really so tell me who on whitesox bench has done that? No Everett and Thomas dont count since dh role are being patrolled by them. Hell even now Thomas or Everett will be pinch hitting before Timo does. But when thomas was hurt who was there? you guys want ozuna? harris? gload?. If whitesox made a trade get a guy that does way better than Timo im all for it. But until then what can you do? No one else can play 1b at the time so their was no choice and yes it is ozzie fault for not bringing someone up that can first base. Is he getting overpaid? yes he is definitley is but you can blame managment for bringing him back for that kind of money.
  15. Spodesdnik should play today. Ozuna will be factored in today but it could be either at ss or 2b. With iguchi being hurt I dont expect him play till friday. I think Everett will play today which means our hottest hitter Jermaine Dye will not play.
  16. Ozzie had no other option. I forgot his next person was jermaine dye. Until gload gets back healhty or thomas gets back theres nothing you can do. Konerko takes one day off and you guys are going off the deep end.
  17. Sorry if hes not tony clark geez people its not like hes out there everyday.
  18. Man you guys are getting too much down on the bench players. All Im gonna say" Come on Timo!!"
  19. dont trade any of them. If thomas gets hurt or setback everett back at dh and quite frankily I give rowand or dye days off for everett get some at bats.
  20. Chavez laughed and said, "Yeah, that's why I just signed a $66 million contract to stay here last year, so I can leave. Where does this stuff come from? I don't want to go anywhere near the East Coast, and to me Chicago is the East Coast, anything past Texas.'' A's general manager Billy Beane was outraged by the story, saying, "It's total (garbage.)'' Asked if he had plans to deal Chavez, he said, "Zero. Zero.''
