Marty, I have a suggestion for you, if you don't like him, don't listen. I do not understand why people complain about things that they do voluntarily.

I don't know if this has been discussed here, but I was just told that Maren, the German Potato Soup girl from P90X, has done some hardcore porn. Her name is Maren Beautte and the videos are not hard to find. While researching, I also found that Tony Horton appeared in a softcore porn film called, Rebecca's Secret. Not sure if he was a "performer" or not. Sorry if this is old news.- THAT'S A PEAVY WIN AND A WHITE SOX WINNERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

QUOTE (shakes @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 09:54 AM) If he hits .210 the whole season I won't think it will have anything to do with him playing LF. Why was he able to hit all through the minors, and his call ups, while being bounced around between 1B/3B/OF/DH? Why is it suddenly bothering him now? Has he personally made a comment? To show you how little managers and players view the difference between RF and LF, just take a look at the playoffs last year. Lance Berkman played his home games in LF and away games in RF. Why? Because those positions were closer to the dugout, and LaRussa wanted to save him a shorter run, so it would be easier on his knees. If you have a strong arm, you can equally play RF and LF. They are completely interchangeable. A player may have a preference, but I have never heard a player, or a manager, say switching between RF and LF has caused anyone a problem. I'm sorry, this is a reach. Also, this is two weeks of Spring Training at bats. What is wrong with Knoerko, AJ, and Alexei? They are hitting poorly, but playing the same position. Maybe, it's just that we are looking at two weeks of spring training at bats. It doesn't mean anything. This is absolutely made up bulls***. Berkman played the first 2 games against PHI in LF when Holliday was injured and never returned to that position again for the rest of the postseason.- The Finer Things In Life
QUOTE (G&T @ Nov 1, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) Weaker, yes, but also incredibly consistent and good. Plus, their rauch this fall was solid so I'm excited to try something new from them. I think they've been stepping up their game with all the competition. I didn't mean weaker as in quality, I meant the coffee taste is not overpowering. I really enjoyed the 2 I got, I wish I could buy it by itself.- Is Jeff Manto this dumb
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 10:38 AM) A team full of bad bunters outside of Pierre? Situations that didn't really call for a bunt? It's the AL? There's a lot of reasons. I don't see what this has to do with a walk ever being useless. When it opened first base and the team walked Konerko, you know that half the board went nuts.- Is Jeff Manto this dumb
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 2, 2011 -> 10:11 AM) Under no circumstance is a walk "useless." That's ridiculous. Then why did so many people complain when Ozzie called for a sac bunt in front of Konerko?- Frasor $3.75M Option Picked Up
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 1, 2011 -> 09:37 PM) Whatever general semantics you want to throw at it, many knew it wasn't happening. Those people were right. And now since they predictably failed, it was the smarter idea to believe that they were in it because there's always a literal chance until mathematically eliminated. Do you or any of those other people know any football teams that are going to cover their spread this weekend? I could really use a sure thing.- Frasor $3.75M Option Picked Up
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 1, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) And over the years, the Sox have not done that. Leave other teams out of this. The fact is that a lot of people knew the Sox were out of it, but a larger number only looked at the number of games back and refused to see what has proven time and again to be the fact. Are you saying that because something hasn't happened before that is a proven fact that it cannot happen in the future? Be realistic, some thought the Sox were out of it and obviously they didn't pull it off, but nobody "knew" anything for sure.- The Finer Things In Life
QUOTE (G&T @ Nov 1, 2011 -> 05:52 PM) Yeah, snow...if only I'm interested in the coffee stout. I liked the coffee stout, they call it Black and Brew. I think Sam Adams tend to try to make their beers appeal to the masses a bit more than smaller craft breweries. If you are used to a stronger coffee stout like Founders, you may find this quite a bit weak.- Frasor $3.75M Option Picked Up
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 1, 2011 -> 12:32 PM) The bold is exactly what I said you'd say. Yes, they were out of it. It was clear to anyone watching that wasn't a complete White Sox homer that they just didn't have what it would take to win it. They had horribly underperforming players all over the field, a manager that didn't care and constantly made the incorrect moves seemingly on purpose, and a team that didn't respect the manager anymore. It was obvious, but you'll never admit it. And oh great, the Cardinals again get to be the one in a million chance that we point to for years to come to hold out for a miracle that isn't coming. You don't like the Cardinals, OK fine, was Tampa Bay ever out of it? There's 2 "one in a million" chances that happened at the same time.- Frasor $3.75M Option Picked Up
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 31, 2011 -> 11:39 PM) See, I know you'll never admit it since they were always within shooting range and you can just point to the fact that they were never ___ games out, but they were clearly a sub-par team for the length of the season and they were not coming back. I'm also sure someone will say that's revisionist, but there were plenty of people saying these things throughout the season. I know people were saying they were out of it in May when they were 10+ games out. But on the day before the trade deadline they were only 3 games back. Were they still out of it at that point? It obviously didn't pan out, but that is why more players were not traded off. At any point during the 2011 season would you have said the St. Louis Cardinals were "out of it"?- Frasor $3.75M Option Picked Up
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 31, 2011 -> 01:48 PM) But, as is the case and problem with the Sox every season, they won't admit they're out of it. At what point during this past season would you say the White Sox were "out of it"? - The Miami Marlins thread
