  1. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 09:25 AM) Since when are Lohse or Westbrook available? Cards are still contending.. Yeah, I think they are more likely to be looking to add pitching than giving it up.
  2. Fun game. Cardinals fans are so friendly.
  3. Any Soxtalkers going to the game can meet me at the International Tap House in Soulard and I'll buy your first beer. There is a free shuttle to the stadium from the bar across the street. I'll be wearing a shirt with this logo:
  4. QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) Any update on Viciedo? What happened? I can't find anything on the Sox site?
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 09:50 AM) A week late....but that's surprising. Here in Chicago that stuff sells out everywhere as soon as it gets delivered. 3 Floyds is some good stuff. Hopefully as they get bigger the quality doesn't drop. Not sure if I should start another thread for this, but anyone brew their own beer? Couple of friends and I are going to start brewing at my place. I'm redoing my basement and plan to build a bar with a kegerator in it so we can all hang out and drink our brew while watching the Sox/Bears/Bulls/Illini. Should be an interesting process. I've been all-grain brewing for a while now. Have kegged 2 batches now. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them. You will want to spend a lot of time here when you're getting started: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/
  6. Is this guy supposed to be MLB-ready?
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) So now that i'm done with the Song of Ice and Fire books, not really sure what to start reading next. Suggestions? A Prayer for Owen Meany
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ May 31, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) Going with 7 Cardinals fans relatives to the game at Busch on the 12th. I'm going the 12th & 13th. If the pitching rotation does not change, it looks like Danks and then Peavy.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) Who? Juice
  10. Heading up to Michigan to visit Bell's & Founders breweries.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2012 -> 11:14 PM) I hereby nickname you......Flounder. Why not?
  12. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 18, 2012 -> 05:35 PM) What was done today is better than anything Ozeroo did in the last 4 years. Oz turned into a mouth, all talk and never backing anything up. You won't believe/understand that, but it was the case. The manager is not on the mound, it is up to the pitcher to act. Who was the guy Ozzie sent in to retaliate and the guy couldn't hit the batter. Didn't he get sent down after that game?
  13. QUOTE (BFirebird @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:31 PM) I just picked up the game...was PK lifted for precautionary reasons after getting hit in head? Or was he hurt bad? He walked off the field and no blood.
  14. What is on the new patch the Sox are wearing?
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 16, 2012 -> 12:41 PM) I would have as well. But then again, I hate umpires trying to make a point. Your job is to call balls and strikes, not enforce yourself into the game. Three baseball umpires are having lunch together. The first umpire says "Well, a lot of them are balls, and a lot of them are strikes, but I always call 'em as I see 'em." The second umpire says "Hmph. I call 'em as they are." The third umpire slowly looks at his two colleagues and declares "They ain't nothin' until I call 'em."
  16. You guys should look into a TRX to take with you on trips.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 15, 2012 -> 09:42 AM) Just get back to .500 please. Oh and this is an opening day rematch, for those who did not notice. Maybe home opener.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ May 9, 2012 -> 11:49 AM) JFP vs this asshole No lineups yet, but who gives a s*** because Peavy shuts 'em out EVERYTIME. KEEP THE STREAK (of 1) ALIVE
  19. Is that 3 "Get ova there" for Hawk already?
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 7, 2012 -> 05:08 PM) During my wife's pregnancy these last few months I've learned there is a disturbingly large number of women who take their placentas home and eat them like a steak. January Jones, of Mad Men fame, reportedly has done this. W.T.F. Not like a steak. The placenta gets dehydrated and put into pill capsules.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) May the 4th be with you.
  22. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ May 3, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) Well, those of us who grew up in a time when Eddie Einhorn was ahead of his time with sports on cable learned the game by listening on radio. I got to the point where I really preferred listening to games on radio and getting other things done rather than watching on TV. So, if you love baseball on radio and hate Farmer as your PBP man, it really makes the season less enjoyable. Rooney made for a very enjoyable and productive Saturday afternoon. I get that, but on Gameday audio you have the option to listen to the either team's broadcast.
