Wouldn't be a Bobby Jenks' 9th if he didn't allow at least 1 runner in scoring position.

Big Ten Network
Not that great of a channel if you ask me. Apparently, they're supposed to be getting the good games from the Big Ten though.

Chandra Levy murder
QUOTE (Texsox @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) To be fair to the police, the story only highlights all the unproductive leads they did chase down. While it may have taken 3 weeks for this or a week for that, they may have pursued 100 other leads. I started the story thinking Condit was involved, slam dunk, and got away with murder. (Hey, he's from California) I came away from the story thinking he didn't do it and the police were kind of in a bad place. If they looked elsewhere, it would seem like political pressure, even if there were other, credible suspects. Thanks SS for posting the link. Great read and I would have missed it. Well I'm referring to that one guy tampering with Chandra's laptop when he wasn't a computer guy at all. Or bones being moved around in the park and the cops not finding it. Or the police interrogator who talked to the Hispanic man and even asked if he knew or saw Chandra Levy. The guy said he had seen her, but they went no further in questioning the man and the interogator never said a thing to other police officials. Seems like the screwups were big. I did go walking away thinking Condit might have had nothing to do with it and it was just a random homicide. I think the reason why he never reported Chandra missing because of the affair he was having. It would ruin his life.

Wow, it looks like Police really screwed this one up. Anyone know when part 13 is supposed to go up?

Trade Winds Catch All
I want Orlando Hudson. He's always been a wizard defensively and a very nice hitter offensively. Not anything spectacular, but good.

Chandra Levy murder
Very good read. Anyone know what happened with Natalee Hollaway's case?

Trade Winds Catch All
Latest from MLBTradeRumors: * The Tigers are 5.5 games out, but are still on the fence about buying or selling. * Carroll says there's "much more substance to rumors of the White Sox going after Justin Duchscherer" as compared to the one about the A's pursuing Jason Bay. * The Phillies could jump back in on A.J. Burnett if the price comes down. Also - could Burnett clear waivers in August? * The Rockies' demands for Brian Fuentes might be holding up the relief market. * Regarding Raul Ibanez, the Mariners either want to tack Jose Vidro on in a deal or get back premium prospects. * The White Sox have become aggressive, and apparently had failed talks about Orlando Cabrera with the Red Sox. Josh Fields is not considered untouchable. all this is taken off of Will Carroll from Baseball Prospectus I believe.

Bears need Charles Rogers as someone else stated. Very talented and was caught in a mess in Detroit. It's like a blackhole up there for football.

The Dark Knight
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 10:24 AM) I dont even worry about that stuff when watching a comic book movie. Normally you have to suspend a tremendous amount of disbelief, I think one of the greatest qualities of Christopher Nolan is that he minimizes that as much as possible. But at the same time, it is STILL a comic book movie. I mean, if you really want to get into it,

The Dark Knight
Oh yeah, I've been wondering this. Can anyone elaborate on why they thought it was a hole?

The Dark Knight
Yeah, Wall-E was the only other movie this year that was in Batman's stratosphere. Even at that, Batman blew it away

Lebatard would be good for ATH. For PTI, it needs Kornheiser and Wilbon.

Crede vs. Fields
QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 09:17 AM) Right now I think if the Sox were able to "dump" Contreras, and then find a third baseman to replace Crede who would; 1 - Give you better defense than what Joe has given this season. 2 - Get on base more than either Crede or Fields Then they would look to move Fields for a young starting pitcher in the Danks mould who could become that 5th starter in the rotation. Of course that's very unlikely to happen, but I think with the Sox moving more towards finding hitters who are able to get on base more than the "all or nothing" approach, Fields may not be a fit for this team in the long - term both offensively and defensively (if he can't improve there either). Someone with better defense than Crede and better OBP than him or Fields. We're looking at bonafide All-Stars.

Rank our starters
I say we really go unorthodox. Trade our relievers for starting pitchers and go with a 9-man inning rotation. The other teams will never know what hit them. 1st - Danks 2nd - Vazquez 3rd - Buehrle 4th - Floyd 5th - Contreras 6th - Wolf 7th - Harden 8th - Burnett 9th - Bedard

Vote or DYE Trying
Wow I didn't realize Jose actually made an ASG, but was replaced.

WHITESOX ALL-STARS!!!
Reason why AJ didn't get picked is simply. Most players don't like AJ. I love him, but again, alot of people don't. Then Francona had to decide between him and AJ. I'm sure AJ has already made an ASG and Dioner deserves to go without a doubt, so AJ wasn't in.
