Good SI article on the call
QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) It's just fun to talk about it....dam dude we have a day to kill here...Why you bustin up the party. I'm talking in terms of people b****ing about this call saying, "Oh the umps costed us a victory." No one knows what would've happened(well we know the Rally Crede would've came through in the 10th instead of the 9th). I hate Angels fans who are assuming they would've won the game.

Sox fan says "wake up homers"!
It just delayed the inevitable. Crede just would've hit a Walk-Off HR instead of a double off the wall to win us the game. Crede's BA 7th inning and on since Sept 1st: Something like .468.

Good SI article on the call
I'll sum this up real nicely. Who gives a s***? We won, they didn't. They're not going to reverse the call or give the game back to the Angels. People need to STFU and accept it for what it was. Good call, bad call, it don't matter anymore.

I'm Going!
Awesome stuff. I would go if I didn't have school and I had the cash. I heard there's still a few tickets available.

Amare Stoudemire
This is worse than Webber's operation. Amare had the same surgery Penny had years back. Penny wasn't a guy who depended as heavily on his athleticism as Amare. Best case scenario for Amare is to turn out to be the current Antonio McDyess.

What was up with todays crowd?
This game from the get go seemed much much quieter than the games against Boston. It's not the Fox volume because there was times when our crowd actually got loud. Like I said in another thread, it seemed like the White Sox had to do something first before they got cheered as opposed to last week when the fans were urging them on to get that base hit or turn that DP.

Thoughts on tonights game.
I'm not going to blame the game on the fans, but they definately seemed a lot more quiet last night than the first two games of the ALDS. Instead of willing them to win, they waited for the White Sox to do something before they cheered. Now that's nice for the regular season, but I think the crowd was pretty much dead last night and needed to be like the first 2 playoff games. The other part of the game is blamed on the players. Ozzie even looked pissed because of a lack of execution. I also heard AJ say that when he asked Raines if he missed a hit and run call, Raines said, "I don't know." How the hell does a 1B coach not know the call on the field?? Last night, I think Ozzie was the only one who did his job.

John Cusack
They just talked about him on PTI. They said he personally phoned in Reinsdorf to see if he could get tickets and Reinsdorf said no since he jumped on the Cubs bandwagon back in 2003. Reinsdorf also said that the White Sox don't need any celebrities to cheer for them. Kornheiser agreed with JR while Wilbon disagreed.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
Even though Uribe got back in and we got a base hit, Ozzie looks pissed as hell on that play.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
Horrible. 2 outs after the lead man gets on. Dead coming up.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
Horrible, horrible, horrible at bat. That kills that rally IMO.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
Horrible horrible game today. I'm already going to pack it in as a loss. I hope I'm wrong. This game was a total of embarassment. And they get an infield hit.

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) this crowd is waiting for the sox to deliver instead of getting the F outta the seats and spilling beer all over each other. DAMN! Probably cas it's a colder night. Gotta be cautious about that cold beer.

QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) I heard that he told KW early in the year that if he got to the ALCS, he'd wear a White Sox Jersey on his PTI show. Yeah, he stated that when explaining why he was wearing it. He's true to his word.

Grinder Ball Rule #162
QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) Where does that hang Outside The Cell on the ramp that leads the fans down from the Upper Deck. I don't know what it would be considered, but it's the ramp facing the Ryan.

Cub fans support the pale hose in style
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) It'd make more sense for redandwhite than Cubbies. I agree. Nice attempt though.

I was wondering what it said. Niiiiiiiiiiice.

PTI
I love Kornheiser. He definately makes the show that much more enjoyable.
-
PTI
It's funny because he's being so passionate about it. I'll let Wilbon go since he usually tells it like it is. Plus he's a damn good writer.
-
PTI
Haha, he's wearing a White Sox jersey. He even called us the palehose.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) can we make Woo Woo walk the plank? How about we allow William Ligue back in, give him some drinks and let him do his thing on Woo Woo.

Marte
I was going to post a thread that stated just this. Don't boo him. Hell cheer him. It can only give him more confidence.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) Both the AL & NL games on Wednesday are sceduled for 7 pm. central time, and according to MLB.com both are on FOX. Are they just going to show the regional game? I live in St. Louis and I am afraid I won't be able to see game two. I think the other is showed on FX IIRC.
