  1. QUOTE(gosox41 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) Why him? Why not go with Contreras the first game? He's been the team's hottest pitcher. After that I'm all for comparing stats b/w Buerhle andGarland for Game 2. Game 3 on the road should be Freddy since he pitches so well there. There's no reason not to start your hottest pitcher on the first game of the playoffs if he has the rest. Contreras last pitched Tuesday. Let him pitch this Tuesday. Bob Reasons why Garland starts Game 1 is all over the thread.
  2. I won't say no right now. Depends on how far we get. Let's talk about this after the season is over.
  3. Welcome to Soxtalk As far as a slogan, "Deez Keedz Kahn Play!"
  4. Ozzie is perfect for keeping the guys on their toes, but yet keeping them comfortable.
  5. I'd do what someone suggested earlier. I'd have him throw a simulated game today actually. Just so he isn't 100% for Tuesday. He's going to need that heavy sinker working. You can't keep him out because the guy hasn't had any work for almost 2 weeks when the game is played. That's not good and would render him useless if you don't start him. Also, I don't want Buehrle anywhere near Game 2. Let him get his Yankee Stadium/Angel Stadium(or w/e the ell they call it) start. It's harder to hit a ball out of Yankee Stadium/Angel Stadium than it is at the Cell. Contreras has to start Game 2 in my mind. At home, with everyone behind him and probably his family again. Let's give him the most comfortable atmosphere possible.
  6. I'm sure he will be gone next year and see if he could single handedly fill up Dodger Stadium or wherever he plays.
  7. I voted Count. I also wanted to vote for El Duque. Just brilliant.
  8. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) HAVE FUN ON YOUR NEXT CURSE... BY MY ESTIMATION, IT'LL BE THE CURSE OF THE GRAFFANINO UNTIL THE LATE 2000'S!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha, good s***.
  9. QUOTE(Gldfinger5 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) This has to be the most amusing thing I have ever read. This bigwow is hilarious with his nonsense. http://forums.espn.go.com/espn/thread?foru...236&sortBy=null I like how the Tribe fan was warning them and they did not heed his advice.
  10. Honestly, I thought we were getting squeezed alot. Some Boston fans even said, "The umps were squeezing the White Sox and we still couldn't find a way to hit."
  11. Just fantastic. El Duque is truly just one of those guys who can turn it on during the playoffs. He earned his paycheck for this year and next year with the pitching performance he put on.
  12. Get a program called Streambox Ripper. It'll convert RM to MP3. Not that big of a download and very easy to use.
  13. Definately some classy guys over there. Definately some horrible fans out there. I say thank you to those classy fans.
  14. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) Shall we start making a bronze statue for the CF concourse now? Yes.
  15. EAT s*** ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH BOSTON!
  16. Yeah, I heard that Curry failed the physical as well. Harry said it's from a good source. I'm led to believe he's telling the truth since Isiah has had 2 days and still wants to take more tests.
  17. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) If Boston wins today (*IF*) it's going to a game 5 no doubt in my mind. Unfortunately, probably so. With that said, "Kill off the Carmines."
  18. Your son or daughter just called and he/she has a broken leg. You're the only person in town since your wife left on a business trip so you have to take him/her to the hospital.
  19. Former Gov George Ryan is a Sox fan. Hell, one of the things he did was use cash to go on a trip in Toronto to catch the White Sox.
  20. Haha, they were making fun of them. "There's resistance in the Northeast and it looks like Vermont has left the Northeast."
  21. I loved Costas. They should put the MLB Playoffs back on NBC or at least hire Costas to do MLB for Fox.
