  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 19, 2012 -> 09:57 AM) That's what I've wondered, at least with TalkBulls. TalkBears seems to do fine on it's own, but TalkBulls just dies. You need to link any discussion threads on here to forward you over to that website. I think that would help big time.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 04:23 PM) That's ridiculous. It was a 9 point game which is nothing in the NBA. Besides, taking him out there and thinking that will make him OK for the rest of the playoffs is beyond laughable, and Rose hasn't been playing much lately. Getting him some extra minutes could be good for his wind. I think he's probably done this year, just because he can put weight on it doesn't mean its totally screwed up, but I don't blame Thibs one bit. It was going to happen sometime soon. Magic Johnson even defended Thibs. They wanted to send a message to Philadelphia. That, they did.
  3. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 03:58 AM) As a tourist, LA is a nightmare to get around compared to New York. I love New York simply for the fact you can probably get to where you want to go within 30 mins. Compare that to other major cities in the world such as London etc. and it's not possible. Eh, that's not true. Unless the place is blocks from your house, or rather apartment, you're not getting there in 30 minutes. It's like LA. A ton of things are spread out. In NY, you can do stuff in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, etc. In LA, I can do stuff in downtown LA, The Grove, Santa Monica, Hollywood/West Hollywood, Studio City, etc.
  4. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) are you kidding me? LA is terrible. Miami even worse. and Y2HH you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm pretty sure your opinions are based off tv shows. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 01:52 PM) My order would be: Vacation: New York >>>>> Los Angeles > Chicago >>>>> Miami Live: Chicago >>>>>>> Los Angeles > New York >>>>>> Miami QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) Does the "Living" list take into account the odds of the entire area being destroyed in a natural disaster? How is LA terrible? Beautiful women, beautiful weather. You have a metropolis with a beach and mountains all combined into one. And I dare someone else to say traffic as some of you have mentioned. You do realize Chicago and Washington DC tied with the worst traffic congestion in the nation, right? LA is third. So if you deal with Chicago traffic, you should be able to deal with LA traffic. Housing is the only negative, which brings the cost of living up in LA much much higher. Everything else is pretty much average in terms of taxes and such. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...1012000056.html And being destroyed by a natural disaster? Really? Is that how we're going to disprove living somewhere? Anything can happen anywhere at anytime. We had the Great Chicago Fire. Midwest as a whole has tornados. We've also had flooding. The south/southeast has hurricanes, the east also gets hurricanes, and a snowstorm can wipe you out days at a time. In terms of big cities, LA is the winner.
  5. Los Angeles > Miami > NYC > Chicago. If you're taking a vacation. If you want to live there it goes Los Angeles > Chicago > NYC > Miami
  6. I'm in agreement. Booing him does nothing good. He definitely puts the effort. He's not an ahole to his teammates or fans. Booing him accomplishes nothing positive or anyone else for that matter. If you booed Rios before, you'd have a reason. If you booed Carlos Lee before, you have a reason.
  7. Going to Extreme Rules with my nephew. Silly kid doesn't know it's okay to root for the "bad" guys. He loves Punk, but loves Cena more.
  8. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 12:25 AM) this is an entirely accurate statement. Even Miami heat games are bad attendance-wise. Sports outside of football don't seem to catch on in the south. also to be fair the attendance was listed at 30,169. Not too shabby for Miami but 7k short of a full house. The Heat don't draw well, especially for a team with 2 of the top 5 players in the league and another arguably top 15 player. I mean, that team is a championship contender year in and year out. In Miami, everyone is about party first, then make plans around that. They work their 9-5, and then plan to go out around 9 or 10. If the Heat game starts at 6, they'll go there until the party at Mansion or Liv starts. Same goes for every other sport minus football, but even attendance has weaken for the Dolphins and for the U. The people down there who actually want to go to games can't afford it. Their ticket prices are completely jacked up. In Miami, there's Rich and there's Poor. No in between.
  9. From what I know, it's fake. Confirmed, Cat Woman is going to be wearing goggles and I heard she won't have a gun.
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 08:02 PM) I remember seeing Darius Miles play and figured he was can't miss in NBA. Oops I think he was just a late bloomer who had his career ended by injuries. Nowadays, and not just in basketball, but a ton of sports, if you don't show greatness off the bat, people are quick to write you off.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 21, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) I'm still kinda shocked he turned them down. An extra million a year and more national exposure? No one talks about VCU until the tournament, and that could have easily changed this year if they had lost to Wichita State in the first round. I think both he and Stevens are making big mistakes. Gonzaga and Few worked out because the west coast blows for college basketball. He made a mid-major a "major" program because he was able to carve out a decent niche for recruiting. I don't see Butler or VCU being able to do that. I'd love Grant, who apparently isn't interested. I'd love Stevens(#1 choice), but his buyout won't come from Illinois. Theus would be next in line.
  12. What dealership code? I was interested in trading in my car. Obviously, I know I wouldn't get the same deal, but I wanted to take a look at some different dealerships.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 04:26 PM) he had a lot of "im crazy" moments. Saying he was going to try to get kicked out of a game, stupid unsportmanlike penalties(remember when he threw the ball at Cutlers face after making a catch?). His girlfriend stabbing him. You know, bad stuff He is a problem child. He probably needs someone to look over him, but he is a talented MoFo and Jay wants him on the team I remember the stuff in Denver with him beating his girlfriends and getting the cops called on him all the time in both Miami and Atlanta. Didn't know about on the field stuff. Maybe he was frustrated with losing.
  14. QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) His production isn't really in question here.. its not like he completely fell off the table with either or those QBs throwing to him.. What exactly did he do while with Miami that caused him to be traded then? I was thinking pure money move especially with the team having to rebuild or retool. He did pretty well, even with the garbage QBs thrown out there.
  15. Campbell would be a great backup QB. I wonder if they secretly go after Atgowe for S or maybe Routt at CB.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:33 PM) I really love the duo of Marshall/Bennett in theory. I'd still use a 1st or 2nd to take a WR. I think it would be better if it was Marshall/Meachem/Bennett.
  17. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) Bears get Marshall and now go sign Williams.. and if they can get Finnegan and or Winston.. and this would be a HUGE success!! As for Winston.. he is ALWAYS healthy and solid at RT. Plus who knows if Carimi will be healthy.. but yeah you would have to move Carimi to LT and that in itself would be a HUGE upgrade for the O Line! As for the trade.. AWESOME!! I take back all the doubts and dislike of the Emery hiring!! That move is pure genius! That would be a great offseason for the Bears, especially with the draft to still look forward to.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) LOL Manning thing may be played out then. I think the Bears should still go after Meachem or Manningham to go along with Marshall. What a get, though. Emery striking is a good sign for Bears fans!
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) HOLY CRAP! Yeah right. I doubt they even think about trading him before the Manning thing plays out.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:51 AM) He is creative and fresh, Rock does sophmoric humor and has been brutal. It's not even close. I do like build for most of the Mania matches. No physical confrontations. Just words. Cena vs. Henry next week worries me. Henry has been known to hurt guys legit. Cena finally went back to the gimmick people actually liked. I was thoroughly entertained by it. Rock's concert also went well, except for the rapping at the end.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) Chris Williams looked solid to near pro-bowl as a starter then went down with a freak injury. Carimi never was healthy and barely played. Garza was solid at Center. Louis looked solid at RG, but then had to move to RT where he was terrible because the bears had no backup tackle other than the open door. On top of that, you've got a backup QB for the part of the year where the line looked really bad, and Martz's system which refused to provide help. This line already gets 2 first round picks added in to start next year. Louis and Garza don't deserve to be benched. THe only question is Webb. And he was on an island for 1/2 the season and never got help...and he only really looked bad when he had to block for Hanie and McCown. Chris Williams was nothing more than solid during his "good streak". If Bears fans think he looked anywhere near Pro-Bowl good, then I could see why the Bears as an organization don't care to address the O-Line. If the fans don't care, neither should they. Carimi looked very good, whether he was healthy or not, when he actually played. Garza looks like a solid backup at C, and probably a starter at G. Louis was okay at RG. Was awful as a tackle. If the line was anywhere near as good as almost everyone in this thread made it to be, their QB's wouldn't have gotten killed. They also would have gotten more push in the run game. The Bears line is awful. Only 3 players I would keep are Carimi, Garza and Spencer.
  22. Did I just read a few pages of people defending the Bears' offensive line? I'm going to clean my eyes out and try to re-read the last few pages. The Bears had one of the bottom two offensive lines last year with Philly being the only team in their stratosphere of bad. Carimi looked good when healthy. Garza to me looks like a good backup C and a good RG, but he's nothing special. Williams looked good for a few games at G. I would not pencil him as a starter though. Simply put, the Bears need all the help they can get.
  23. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Mar 11, 2012 -> 08:43 AM) Is Illinois really looking at Scott Drew? I had a heard a few rumors about that?? If so, that's another Kelvin Sampson waiting to happen, only potentially worse. I would be okay with that. I also heard Shaka is definitely interested in the Illinois job, but it will come down to cash.
