  1. Erick Aybar is a definite sleeper pick this year. He has the most to gain with Figgins going to Seattle, should hit at the top of the order and provide a decent amount of runs and steals. I'm aiming for him in every draft, should be higher up imo. Also, you forgot Beckham, believe he has eligibility at SS, that is the position I would personally draft Gordon at.
  2. I think whomever wins the Saints vs. Vikings game will win the Superbowl. I still don't think the Colts are that good. I have a feeling the Colts are going to be sorry they late the Jets into the playoffs and think the Jets might win that game. If Revis shuts down Wayne it is basically over. I would kinda like to see Favre win the Superbowl and just go away.
  3. I can't take credit for this quote but it is too funny. "The NCAA just announced USC punishment for violations. They get stuck with Lane Kiffin as a coach.
  4. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Jan 12, 2010 -> 09:27 AM) Charles Woodson wins defensive player of year; Darrelle Revis finishes second ESPN link Awesome I know Revis help some of the best WRs to under 35 yards receiving but Woodson had some great stats this year. Incredible what he has done at his age.
  5. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 12, 2010 -> 01:19 AM) The roster's not setup for Carroll to have any instant success in Seattle anyways. They're a complete mess on the offensive line, so they need to upgrade there. Looks like they'll be drafting a QB with one of their 2 1st rounders and getting Jeremy Bates to mould him as he did ala Jay Cutler. So they'll probably release Hasselback (he could resurface in Cleveland under Holmgren perhaps). They should use the other pick on an offensive tackle. They also need an upgrade at RB, and probably on the defensive line as well. The former GM spent too much $$$ on WR's (such as Branch and Houshmanzadh) and on LB's. I like Forsett, I think they are fine with him at the lead back and Julius Jones backing him up. Seneca Wallace also needs to be utilized in a wildcat package more, I like what he can bring to their offense. No QB they select in round 1 is going to help them, their best bet is to go with 2/3 of Okung, Trent Williams and Anthony Davis. Then they can taking someone like Chad Jones in the 3rd round or if they want to, Mays or maybe Berry in the 1st. They have some options with those two first round picks, which is good.
  6. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 05:28 PM) The Packers would win if they played again. The Cardinals have been up and down this year. At times they look like a really good team and other weeks they look terrible. Vintage Warner showed up Sunday and played a hell of a game, odds are he can't do it two times in a row, so I'd like to think the Pack would win the next matchup. It was nice reading about the praise the Cardinals secondary was giving Rodgers, not a bad first playoff game, just began and ended on a sour note.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) The ref was behind the QB and it was impossible for him to see it from there. Although, frankly, raise your hand if you think the GB Defense could have legitimately stopped Arizona's offense. The ref wasn't behind it, actually looking right at the play. I was telling the people I was watching the game with, call me crazy but if the Packers didn't make it on that third down, I'd have gone for it on 4th given we only stopped the Cards once, obviously would be a dumb call given field position and the game is on the line. http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/7423/facemask.png I was a little more pissed about the helmet to helmet hit the play before, which should've been roughing the passer. Oh and not to mention Fitzgerald completely pushing Woodson over in the endzone and then grabbing a TD, where was the interference there.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 09:17 AM) I think GB can be a force next year with a few additions to the defense. You can't count on 2 guys to do it all. First they need to bring back Pickett, Jolly, Collins and Bigby, I doubt they get all four but I can dream. Wouldn't mind Derrick Martin coming back, he was great on special teams, would have helped some if he played yesterday because Giordano was terrible. Hell, I'd whip out that franchise tag on Kampman, because he doesn't like the system and would probably request a trade, maybe get some picks out of it.
  9. Haha, I still have the voicemail mail machine message memorized and I haven't seen this episode in a year or two. Jerry's mom, "How can anybody not like him?" George on Elaine's dancing, "It's more like a full-body dry heave set to music."
  10. Good for the Reds. Glad to see him go to a team outside of your big markets, even if it is a horrible contract. If Chapman shows he can start out of the gates in the spring and the Reds sign a bat they can compete in that division. Someone like Cabrera or Tejada would fit in since they don't have a SS really.
  11. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 07:37 AM) Aaron Rodgers got face masked too on the last play. The last play looked clean to me. Even if you have to punt, I had 0 confidence in the defense stopping Arizona. Even though Green Bay turned the ball over 3 times that game, it is really hard to look past how bad are defense was. I was sick of seeing Warner attack the middle of the field on us time after time and we did nothing to try and stop it. Can't complain, made the playoffs and with a couple additions through draft and resigning key players I don't see why GB can't go back to the playoffs.
  12. Episode where George worries about the little discoloration in his lip lol. Also I like the episode where he tells the housing committee the astonishing tales of Costanza.
  13. I have always liked teams that Ken Griffey has played for. Seattle Mariners Cincinnati Reds
  14. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 11:40 AM) Should be an exciting first round of the NFL playoffs. I like the Jets over the Bengals again, Cincy has just looked awful for the past four weeks now. This game should stay relatively close because Sanchez is mistake-prone. But that defense is going to lock down the Bengals offense again imo, Palmer needs to step up. The Cowboys Eagles should be a battle, I can't see Dallas beating Philadelphia for a third time so I'm taking Philly. I think I'll be wrong though because Dallas is playing well as of late. Philly needs to get some sort of a running game going and be the first to score. I'm most looking forward to Sunday's games, they should be the closest imo. I have no idea who will win the Patriots and Ravens bout. I'm taking Baltimore solely because of the Welker injury. Baltimore imo is the best of the 4 AFC teams playing in the first round and their offense is clicking at the right time. Packers vs. Cardinals, obviously I'm taking Green Bay because of bias. I do think they should win, they have been playing just as good of football as anyone of late but I am worried that Green Bay comes in over confident after the Wk 17 blowout. Changed my mind. Bengals over Jets Cowboys over Eagles.
  15. If I had my way... Packers vs. Chargers Prediction: Chargers vs. Vikings

  17. Steelers and Dolphins game is a good one. Hoping Dolphins pull off a miracle run to win it. Hate the Steelers. Nice to see Houston win, hopefully they can get some help and make the playoffs.
  18. Purdue also started off the Big Ten season with a win. No surprise, Iowa is not a good team. The game vs. West Virginia should be an exciting one. Good thing it is a home game.
  19. Clinched playoffs Was at the game, Lambeau Field was awesome, looks so much bigger on TV though.
  20. Geez... 2 of my semifinal matchups I lost by less than .50 points. Absolutely ridiculous. One league I would've beat any other team and I was the top seed. My other league had 4 divisions and I had the most points but my division record sucked so I was seeded 5th, an go figure I face the highest scoring team of the week besides my own and lose by less than .50. I hate fractional points! luckily the Giants got me 27 in one when I was down 25 in my one league to make the ship Going for le bronze trophies.
  21. f*** the Yankees. Just won the World Series and they continue to buy and trade for players.
  22. Ridiculous. Made playoffs in all 8 of my leauges. Was up against Dallas Clark in all but two of my leagues. Also faced Jerome Harrison in 3 of my leagues and Charles in 3. Rodgers in 2. Just about all my matchups I faced the highest scoring team. I'm in the semis in 7 leagues and I'm going to lose everyone. The league I care about the least I'm going to win my first round matchup as long as Devin Thomas doesn't go nuts. A big game from Lawrency Tynes could help me savor the Soxtalk league. Unlikely he gets 18 points though.
  23. That steelers game is still pissing me off. Still feel Ward ran into Chillar at the end. Also, I knew the holding call on Max Starks was f***ed up. Unless the rule has been changed since 2007, any offensive holding call under 2 minutes requires a 10 second runoff (or loss of timeout). The Steelers neither lost the timeout nor the 10 seconds, and they needed every second they had to win that game. Bear in mind that the game winning play started with 3 second on the clock-3 seconds they wouldn't have had if the 10 second runoff had taken place, or if their timeout had been taken away. If the rule was changed then ok, but I haven't found anything. Feeling pretty pessimistic towards GB making playoffs now, they should beat Seattle but Arizona won't be a cakewalk. Hopefully the Giants can lose to either Was or Car, otherwise Minny should beat them I would think.
