Hawkins to Houston
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 12:41 AM) We were able to evade the wrath of Willy Taveras. Hopefully we could do the same against Bourn. Evade? He had 6 steals against us and they took the series, I beg to differ.

Ken Griffey Jr. + Cash to the White Sox
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) I think they would try and trade Konerko before Swisher Doesn't Konerko have 10/5 rights? With that said I can't see him accepting a trade unless its to a contender. If this is done, Richard as a long man sounds good.

Ken Griffey Jr. + Cash to the White Sox
QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 09:58 AM) Cbs sportsline is reporting its Griffey for Massett & Richar. Sign me up, never liked either of them. Was sure nice to wake up this morning and see the White Sox are possibly getting my favorite MLB player.

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 06:46 PM) http://www.escsoft.com/ iDump, completely free. Backup all music and playlists. I've used it plenty of times, great program. You can even throw the executable on the hard drive to carry with you. Thanks for the program man. Got my songs back.

Cubs-Sox WS - Whose fans could survive losing?
Well, for starters were not going to meet in the World Series. Neither team will make it to the World Series. Definitely not going out on a limb here, both teams are too inconsistent in similar aspects.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 10:16 PM) iRip used to give a 15 day trial but I think it's been taken down since. Download.com used to have it. So if you had this problem in 05, i'd have been great help. Go figure, about 20 minutes after typing my last post I figured out how to do it without a program or anything. I can't take credit but heres a link for those wondering: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/07/16/c...without-itunes/

Music Thread
So, I need some help: My hard drive crashed just the other day. Obviously, lost all of my music on my computer (9000+ songs). On the positive side I have an iPod with basically all the songs I listen to on it. My question is do any of you know a program where I can take music off of my iPod and put it into iTunes free of charge? I know there are programs you can use to do this but the ones I have found require a payment which I'd rather not do.

Alternate Transportation to Get to Game
If there is a train station near you take the train into union station and then hop on a nearby Red Line El Train and it will take you straight to the park. I'm just guessing but isn't Orland Park near the blue line, if so just take that and transfer to the red.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 16, 2008 -> 12:38 AM) What a wimpy toss by Hart. He threw it about 40 feet. Had that throw been right to Martin, this game would still be going. He had enough on it to get the out just missed target.

QUOTE (The Bones @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 12:11 AM) I really like the new Coldplay album...much better than X&Y. And the new Beck album is growing on me as well. Coldplays new album is definitely better than X&Y. I'm looking forward to OAR's new album coming out this week titled All Sides.

Trivia Qs
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 08:17 PM) Can you recommend some of those books. I love stuff like that and as a kid used to read random fact books (and was always intrigued by crap like that). This book Baffling Baseball Trivia contains more situational stories from the game, the link is a preview. Not so much a stat book but interesting stories. MLB Book of Fabulous Facts and Trivia MLB Fact Book they update this every year, so I'm sure there is a newer version out. Some of the better ones I have. Theres always baseball-reference.com too. This is a trivia forum, hard to navigate though http://www.baseball-fever.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11

Trivia Qs
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Wow, that is one hell of a person to wear a cabbage leaf under his hat. Second off, how in the hell did you know these random facts? I retain a lot of useless baseball knowledge, and have several trivia books. Only question I didnt know was the home run cycle one, was always curious if anyone ever accomplished it. Figured I'd throw it out there to see if anyone knew the answer, found it though.

Trivia Qs
Heres 4: Which baseball player wore a cabbage leaf under his hat? Who was the only baseball player traded for himself? Which player struck out 5 batters in an inning (think White Sox )? Name the only player to hit for the home run cycle (can be minor leaguer), also which mlb player recently came the closest and how close?
