  1. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 12, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) If we had a Purdue fan on this site im sure theyd be saying "hes going to be the next Larry Bird". Really, thats funny, Im a big Purdue fan and I dont think hes going to amount to anything in the NBA.
  2. Watching Purdue try to rebound a ball is torture. Purdue is starting to look like Illinois, build a lead in first half and give it back.
  3. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 12, 2008 -> 06:38 PM) Izzo might have a stroke. I cant be the only one who has watched Purdue and has seen this? I watch Purdue all the time and love it Huge game and up big love what Im seeing, if only the Blue Demons could play this well
  4. Why is this Crisp talk still going on? Hes awful, can't hit, can't stay healthy. So of course lets trade away more players for someone who is just as useless as Owens. Plus Owens is younger and gives us a top of the order speedy type player. Please, this thread has just lasted too long, I'm starting to think we all like Crisp.
  5. QUOTE(2nd_city_saint787 @ Feb 10, 2008 -> 09:47 PM) i understand that portion i just need to know how to get it started, do i just start a normal league on yahoo or is there a special option to make it a keeper league? Create a normal league, then its your responsibility to contact them in the offseason about keepers and returning to the league.
  6. Well looks like that so called great UCLA team is bout to get beat by Washington.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 10:28 PM) Going into this year, I thought Purdue would get better as the season went on, make the tourney as an 8 or 9 seed, and be the favorites to win the league next year. While the last part is true (70 of the 72 points they scored tonight will be back on the roster next year), it's also clear that Matt Painter is one of the fastest rising coaches in the nation (and certainly the best coach in the league with SIU ties) and that Purdue might win the league this year. If they can defend their home turf Tuesday in a tough game against Michigan State, they will win out (sorry Ohio State, your not that good) with the exception of perhaps their trip to Indiana, and at least win a share of the Big 10. It's amazing the progress they have made. Purdue has just had a really surprising year in my eyes. They lost Landry and Teague and I thought the year would be mediocre at best. Just goes to show what one good year of recruiting can do for a squad. A bunch of underclassmen are carrying this team and should only get better.
  8. Purdue beats Wisconsin for the second time this season and is first in the big ten.
  9. Slap Shot Remember the Titans Hoosiers The Natural Rounders High Roller - Highly recommend this to poker players, especially if you've heard of Stu Ungar
  10. 1) Been playing fantasy baseball for 6 strong years. 80% performance rating in Y!, 2 first place soxtalk trophies and one fourth place, damn you Jackie I guarantee I will be active and check my roster. 2) League Preference: Head to Head, although I'd also do Roto 3) Was in League #2 last year and would love to play in that one again everyone was active and competitive, wouldn't mind changing leagues if I have to though. 4) I could commish if I must but I'd prefer not to.
  11. WOW What a play and catch by Eli and Tyree.
  12. Yeah but if I understand that analysis right it means we would get that many runs if we batted Swisher and Thome 1 and 2. Which is pretty unrealistic.
  13. QUOTE(JuiceCruz16 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 09:55 AM) I was glad to see Purdue sneak one out, E'twaun, had a very nice game against Wisconsin, but I wasn't able to catch this Iowa game. Nice start in the big 11 for the young group of frosh for the Boilers. I saw it. Another win that they just came away with vs Iowa. For the most part the whole game they had a hangover from that win from Wisconsin. Played pretty awful, couldn't shoot the ball the whole game, but good enough to win. Purdue really has to get Nemanja Calasan more playing time, talking 6-9 junior who can hit a shot anywhere on the floor. Though Hummel is doing well. I got a feeling Illinois beats the Boilers in Champaign.
  14. Losers of this Trade: Minnesota, this basically sets the benchmark for how much the Twins can get for Santana, granted Bedard isnt as good but hes close. Minnesota probably is going to have a rough time getting the return pieces they were hoping for.
  15. QUOTE(gbuk @ Jan 26, 2008 -> 05:18 PM) What Painter is doing at Purdue is so great...anyone who brings in a top 5 class to Purdue has my respect. Purdue at home is basically a top 15 team. Yeah, Purdue has a really solid young core. Whats nice is this team will be around 2-3 more years pending most the underclassmen stick around. Should be a force in big ten.
  16. I dont know if this is a superstition but....every time I go up the stairs in my basement I run up because I feel somethings chasing me.
  17. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 09:39 PM) IMO, the D was very overrated all year. People will say, they only allowed 23 points. But the Giants should have easily had over 30. You are right about the 5 receiver set. What happened to quick slants? The Giant secondary is beat up and the Pack never seemed to go after it. It almost felt like the fix was on with all the stupid oversights on the Packers part. The Giants had a great defense all year, you take out the first three weeks and they probably have one of the best defenses in the league, just took a while for Eli to come around really. I would agree with you, are defense was overrated, beyond our starters all we have backup wise is KGB and Rouse; who I actually felt has done better than Collins. Were rather thin which I hope we fix through the draft. All year we really had no big playmakers, Harris had something like one interception, Woodson I think 4 and beyond that nobody else really made big plays, we hardly forced fumbles, our tackling is what made our defense. You would wonder how we got by during the year, because Im sure we were one of the most penalized teams in the league. Eh
  18. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) [quote name='ChWRoCk2' date='Jan 20, 2008 -> 09:24 PM' post='1563033' Stupid play calls, its like John Shoop was calling the damn plays, little 1 yard passes behind the line every possession, honestly, did they not figure out the giants were not falling for the screens, hell they hardly blitzed that game to even try a screen. I was thinking the same thing and I posted it earlier. How many times do you have to fail with a screen before you decide it doesn't work. Does McCarthy know Ahman Green is gone? The only thing worse than play calling was Al Harris being taken to school. Another thing offensively I noticed we hardly used that 5 receiver set which was almost unstoppable all year, seems like our coordinator was too worried about the blitz coming into this game which he had good reason to but our line faired well for the most part. Would have been nice to see more Ryan Grant at the start of the game almost like he didn't exist and we didn't really use him in the second half like Mccarthy said they would. Idk I can keep going which is kinda sad lol. Yeah Al Harris was awful, but then again we really had no depth behind him that it would have been worth subbing him out due to that leg injury he played through. Just looking ahead to the draft I really want that corner out of Iowa, Godfreys his name I think? I know hes a good bump and run corner.
  19. That was the most aggravating game I have ever watched, we deserved to lose for how bad we played. Man immediately this game went to OT I flashed back to Seattle game, basically same thing happened but opposite way. Flag after flag called on the Packers defense, and yes for the most part they were good calls by refs. Stupid play calls, its like John Shoop was calling the damn plays, little 1 yard passes behind the line every possession, honestly, did they not figure out the giants were not falling for the screens, hell they hardly blitzed that game to even try a screen. Tom Brady please blow out the Giants in the super bowl, Ill feel much better, I just cant stand Eli ever since that stupid draft day trade he selfishly asked for. Feel free to ignore my ranting, feels like what Bears fans went through in the big game last year. I guess good news is Favre you would think won't leave on this note and should be back.
  20. QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jan 20, 2008 -> 11:02 AM) i love it! -14 degrees with the wind chill at lambeau for kickoff, let's see some football! GO PACK GO Yeah, really can't get much better, add in some snow and that would be nice haha. I really hope the Pack come out right away with their five set of wrs and throw on them the whole first drive just to send a message to the Giants banged up secondary.
  21. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 16, 2008 -> 10:20 PM) Guess so. Here are morning details.... Reminds me of this... Vid prolly not work safe.. Superbad Period Scene
  22. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jan 15, 2008 -> 05:34 PM) so one time, i pissed my pants and puked in them all in one night pat on the back in order. I have done so in a similar fashion lol. At some point in a drunken night at Purdue I pissed myself, puked in my friend's roommates closet (his roommate was gay so that was weird) and managed to pass out into the closet I puked in breaking the closet door hinges and woke up there that morning. Not to mention my friend used the garbage can as a toilet multiple times that night for #1 haha and tipped it sometime that night spilling into the hall and our dorm floor reeked of urine/alcohol and other stuff for about 4 straight days. Needless to say this resulted in a probation.
  23. I agree, definitely bad commercial for Peyton. Hes gotta stick with the solo performances in those commercials telling people how to change their lives lol. I hate any commercial containing Billy Mays, if you don't know who this is here it is: Honestly, his infomercials are on all the time promoting worthless products.
  24. Seems like they are being really lenient this year on their selections. I mean come on the political kid from Oklahoma was terrible and got ticket. The girl who got in the car accident who sounded like a man she was alright not ticket worthy. That roller coaster enthusiast guy was hilarious lol. One last thing: "Brothers fooooreveeer" ^Classic (if you saw the end youd know what I meant)
