I was really hoping that Rowand would get a game winning hit at the end and also capping him off as the mvp.

QUOTE(joesaiditstrue @ Jul 10, 2007 -> 09:35 PM) LOL Verlander choking on the big stage once again it's a joke that buerhle isn't on the all star team this year, an absolute joke it's also a joke that ESPN rated chokelander's no-hitter higher than buerhle's a couple weeks ago Verlander did throw a no hitter against a better hitting team and well one of the better teams in the league. Buehrle threw one against crummy Texas. So far its been a close All Star game, I enjoy close games hopefully there can be a walkoff or something, hey I can dream. ROWANDS IN!!!

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 10:07 PM) I have to admit I'm not that big a fan of the home run derby anymore, it just drags on too much. Three hours? Ill take the derby over the slam dunk contest any day of the week. I just have no interest in watching no names dunk a ball the same way they do every year.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 10:00 PM) I'd be surprised to see ARod do it, Pods has a better shot at winning that. ARod has a horrible history in these. One of the Yankees will represent the team, the fans would be disappointed if they didnt.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) Congrats to Vlad--it's hard not to like him. If it wasnt for Ortiz giving him the bat he would have lost. The kayakers had to be disappointed very few splashes. Next year in New York it should be fun, Arod will prolly do it.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:30 PM) AMerican Psycho is a great movie, but the book had so much more and was nuts. Yeah that was one of few books Ive read that had a movie follow it. The book was definitely more in depth and I would agree nuts. Still one of my favorite movies.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:01 AM) Me too!!! Probably the best of the set. On another note: Speaking of rudeness in theatres, this dude behind us kept putting his feet on the chair next to my wife. Nothing like someones bare feet next to your head.(Well he had flip flops on) Anyway, She didn't say anything to me, she just kept giving him a look when he would do it, thinking he would stop. I didn't notice cause I was pretty engrossed in the movie. Towards the end I had my arm around her chair and felt him kick the chair a couple times. I was like whatever, maybe he was just adjusting his legs. Then it happened a third time and I turned around and saw he had his feet up next to her head. So I reached over and grabbed his ankle and threw it down and he looked at me all bewildered and I looked at him like wtf you ignorant ass. No words were spoken and that was that. Movie ended about 10 minutes later and when we got up I was going to tell him what my problem was if he asked, but he pretended like he was sleeping. Here he is....batting.

QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 07:31 PM) Once he said that I turned off the volume and started to play some music. I like when he says for Pacman Jones, he could eat all the dots.

I remember seeing this preview before Transformers had started. It was called something like Big Robot when I saw it. Looks alright.

I just want the final to come down to 2 lefties so we continue to see balls hit the drink. Go Prince.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) Dye and Jose Uribe, huh? Perhaps an evil-twin? Williams would fleece em' on that deal. Pull the trigger, Williams. It's called fact-checking and editing, people. I can't believe some of these people continue to receive paychecks. Phew at least were not giving up Juan -
Id accept that trade, your receiving a good amt in DLee and Pap. You can go ahead and drop Fuentes, hes no longer closing, they are doing a commitee thing.

As long as Toby Mcguire and Kirsten Dunst come back Im game, and of course throw in the newspaper head guy.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 5, 2007 -> 11:40 PM) Stuff the motherf***in' ballot like we did for Pods. If we can get that fruit in the All-Star Game over Derek Jeter, we can at least triple whoever winds up being the runner up to us in this vote. Look at it this way, the Sox could win something this year.

At least its free otherwise Id be a Cubs fan, they dont give a damn. Great site, article made me appreciate it even more though.

QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jul 3, 2007 -> 12:01 AM) Transformers was awesome. Transformers was amazing I agree, special effects were awesome and everything else too. Definitely worth seeing.

QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 11:11 PM) Please sign Jamal Tatum! I would die! I would be all for it, at least give him a look, he could definitely D up some of the better guards in the league. -
Lots of snubs, Youkilis and Sheffield should both be on the team. Hanley Ramirez should definitely be on. As for pitchers Halladay and Chris Young got screwed.

Zambrano for Verlander? or Halladay?
ChWRoCk2 replied to Gregory Pratt's topic in PTC/Contest/Fantasy Board
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 30, 2007 -> 08:00 PM) I offered Zambrano + Morris for Verlander and Halladay but he didn't want it (I thought THAT was a steal) and he said, "Throw in Peavy and Wagner. I'll throw in Hoffman" and I hung up the phone. Well I dont blame him Nobody in their right mind would do Big Z and Morris for Halladay and Verlander. Hell if you could do Zambrano for Verlander straight up I would most definitely do it. In that trade you proposed depending on the amt of closers you have y not throw in Hoffman. Even if it leaves you with one closer in Wagner you could just boot the category and trade off Wagner for a need, or 2 not so good closers. -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 30, 2007 -> 08:37 PM) Sunshine Looks interesting, something I would definitely go see. Wow, that actually looks really good. Looking forward to that. Heres a movie Im waiting for with Christian Bale in it. Rescue Dawn

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 30, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) Wow, that's a nice bullpen. I know a team that could use a bullpen like that. Missing Gary Majewski, he had a great year last year, as for this year Im not too sure how hes faired.
