  1. Will we have a thread with you saying something negative about everything even though the Sox are 25-9? Oh wait, too late. :rolly
  2. Yep, and not only that but he's the master of hindsight.
  3. I agree. It seemed like Pena had been using that kid Andy Sisco for 2 innings of relief work every damn day. He was pulling a Dusty on his young reliever.
  4. I also love looking at his greasy face!
  5. Dammit, don't you know by now that not every team needs to eat s***?
  6. Yep, 7 SB so far and he's on pace to steal 33! I doubt he gets that many but anything over 20 would be awesome.
  7. He's only 33, dude. Didn't you check his birthdate at MLB.com?
  8. Think the Yankmees miss El Duque? 5-1 2.91 ERA Yes they do!
  9. By the way, is Ozuna great at avoiding tags or what? He dove home and avoided a tag a few weeks back and he avoided a tag by the 1st baseman today. He is great at that. And one more thing... Ozuna is making Timo obsolete.
  10. This guy runs everything out, something very few players do these days. I love watching this guy play almost as much as Pods. He can turn a scrub bouncer into a hit with his speed, steal a few bags, and play decent defense at multiple positions. I think he's going to stick around in the majors as a utility-man for a few years (considering he's already 30 years old). Who knows, he may even be worthy of a starting gig at 2nd base for some teams.
  11. Dustin is getting the job done but is anyone else worried that many of his outs come on hard hit balls? Sooner or later, those grounders are going to get through the holes. I still think we need a dominant closer.
  12. Wow, I so called this one... http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=660439 If Uribe is going to miss an extended period of time, I would take a flier on him. I don't think either Ozuna or Willie could handle the full-time shortstop duties. Kenny listened to me!
  13. Nothing, just giving you a link where you can watch the replay for yourself.
  14. Chesny's 8===>~~~~~~X qwerty Fuggg...
  15. Hilarious! http://www.thewhizzinator.com/ The actor, Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), got busted trying to use one of these to pass a drug test a few months ago... http://entertainment.tv.yahoo.com/entnews/...0815200000.html
  16. It was a suicide squeeze. Watch the replay at WhiteSox.com. Crede was running as the pitcher was throwing the ball.
  17. Rick Ankiel just completely shoots the argument in our favor.
  18. So Wagner isn't more of a sure thing than Gio Gonzalez? Come on...
  19. It WAS a suicide squeeze... http://encyclopedia.laborlawtalk.com/Texas_leaguer It was a suicide squeeze because Crede was running for home even before Iguchi successfully laid down the bunt. He was taking the risk (of suicide ), if Iguchi didn't get the bunt down successfully. If Iguchi doesn't get the bunt down, Crede is most likely dead-to-rights. Crede had to attempt a suicide squeeze because he is far too slow to try a safety squeeze.
  20. Bingo... Good, established talent (i.e. Billy Wagner) > prospects (i.e. Gio Gonzalez) Do you know if Gio Gonzalez is going to be a stud in the majors? Nope. Do you know what you are going to get from Billy Wagner? Yep.
  21. I honeslty don't think Beane is trying to win anything this year. Afterall, he had the Big Three and better lineups in the past and didn't win anything. Do you think he really expects to win anything this season? His moves were made with the future in mind.
