  1. At 1:20 there is a great shot of an old Boston Store building and the updated version still showing the ghost sign of "boston store" that I want to go out and find now.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) Thanks for sharing this. It is one of the absolute coolest things I have seen in a long time. Right? I have a Chicago Then and Now book, but there is something about this video and the span of the city the aerial view provides that provides much more perspective. Feels so much more like you can "feel" the city.
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Oct 30, 2017 -> 11:50 AM) How far off do you think we are from competing? I’m hopeful that 2019 can be that year, but a lot of things will need to go right before we know. I’m not taking on a nearly $300M obligation before I feel confident that our team is ready to take that next step, especially when that player has a poor track record of health and has an opt-out clause after three years. I don't disagree with you, but I'm kinda at the point where it has seemed like so many untradeable contracts have been traded that I'm not sure I'm that worried that he would destroy our franchise.
  4. You don't often see someone go from Model UN to Foreign Policy Advisor to Jail so quickly.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 30, 2017 -> 11:09 AM) NO COLLUSION! FAKE NEWS! In a footnote, the FBI statement notes that the email was forwarded between campaign officials and who wrote they should discuss: “We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal.” It's funny because there was a WaPo story on Pappadapoulous in August that somewhat showed there may have been low-level stooges Russia tried to get on but the higher ups in campaign killed it. Part of the evidence for that was this quote "“We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips." from Manafort. But the full quote was (now we know) "“We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal.”
  6. Belicheck has ran a brilliant offense for 16 years that schemed shorter shiftier runners open to find the space. It's worked amazing with brady and well with each backup, though he did seem to struggle post-moss with a pretty bad set of receivers. He was never bad though.
  7. All eloy all the time http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/base...j2LmmyHC0fhB.97
  8. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/history...1019-story.html You may need to be a trib subscriber but they found archival footage that the trib paid to a blimp pilot in 1914 to take of Chicago. Love this stuff.
  9. It really is crazy that they arrested this guy at an airport 3 months ago and there was zero leak. It was found out months later that they raided Manafort's house. Pretty impressive operation from Mueller.
  10. I doubt it would be Treason, that is such a narrow crime.
  11. So this: https://twitter.com/michaeldweiss/status/925012339849654273 Trump was so sure that Putin had the 33k private server deleted emails. When you look at the way this reads, it says that Papadapoulous was told Russia had thousands of Clinton's emails. This is extrapolating, but sure could make you think a conversation happened with Trump where he said Russia has all of her emails and would release them.
  12. Yeah this Papadopoulous one is eye-opening. There were so many contact points, and the campaign seemed so oblivious that participating would be wrong, and then they hire manafort? It all may end up as something less scandalous but it is getting pretty hot in the kitchen. Especially with Manafort. This dude is not scooter libby. He ain't a lifelong player. He would sell out his daughter.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 30, 2017 -> 09:44 AM) When Anita Hill came forward many years ago, there was some push, but it died down. Maybe because of social media these days, it will be different, and at least a few more bad actors will be exposed, but I think business as usual will return for most of these predators eventually. The assholes exposed are just the tip of the iceberg of offenders. This is good perspective. Hill received such brutal treatment, whereas this time they have been treated with more respect. But of course we don't know if these actresses will find new work or be slowly blacklisted due to being "controversial" or same with the journalistsa gainst Halperin. You are right, much to happen before we know.
  14. It really seems like some real change might be happening. I hope it continues.
  15. SO if you want to talk about how "everyone knew" with Weinstein, this was a true "everyone knew" situation with Manafort. This stuff is not shocking, it was known his dealings with Ukraine were shady from the get-go as soon as he was hired on. And the reason you don't bring compromised people like that so close to the campaign? You are looking at it.
  16. Mueller's probe has been so airtight. While I believe they probably do have something ready for Flynn, I don't think that source would have actual knowledge.
  17. Crazy inside strike zone
  18. That reversal was so beyond bad I’m struggling to even watch and care. What the hell
  19. We are averaging about 2.5 ypc, are down two scores in second half but will definitely go run run pass for another 3 and out to start next drive
  20. 6 quarters without an offensive touchdown. So many stalls at that exact spot of field.
  21. This offense is so much worse than I could have ever expected.
  22. I know when you scout Trubs stat line it ain’t good, but things like these two runs on 1st and goal from the 6 that put him at 3rd and goal from the 8 is an example of how frustrating the opportunities are for him. Luckily for saints they were allowed to hold shaheen there
  23. He didn’t even swing hard
  24. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 12:46 PM) Pete Incavigila famously went from the draft straight to the majors in 85/86. Pretty sure Seby Zavala is neither Pujols or Incaviglia. Olerud was the one I remembered. One I didnt? Mike Leake https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_baseb...League_Baseball
  25. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 11:29 AM) DTV does that as well, but I am paying 250/month for just tv. My company pays for my internet (100 per month). Comcast would give me internet/premier/phone for 164.. I mean thats a crazy price drop I haven't paid above $120 for comcast for 3 years and have premier and good cable package. They keep trying to upsell me phone but I have no need.
