I'm not anxious to see the Kyrie v. Rondo battles though. At all.

Defining the alt-right
But they both support Trump, and both have a following. That milo's crew is more interested in posting penis pictures on twitter than meeting at a conference is irrelevant, both have a much bigger platform with possible influence to government. Trump has shown heavy priority to his supporters at all cost, are we going to see Spencer's NPI as toxic, or getting meetings with federal reps? It's not like Spencer was suddenly found to scaremonger, he's been reported on for months.

But you are right, Spencer himself doesn't view Milo as anything more than a fellow traveler:http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/meet-the-alt-right-spokesman-thrilled-by-trumps-rise-w443902 OTOH, they are at a party together here at the RNC.

Defining the alt-right
That's weird, here's Milo (or his pseudonym) mentioning spencer as one of the intellectuals of the Alt Right: http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/03/29/a...-the-alt-right/

Bleacher Report: Jose Quintana, not Chris Sale, is the most valuable o
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) Sale is a slightly better pitcher, Quintana is very close and is under team control for longer. If I assume that each of them will repeat last season's WAR numbers, Quintana provides more overall value and more surplus value under this current contract. One game yeah I pick Sale. Trading for the guy and looking at multiple seasons? I have to say, I've been surprised at how little Sale's contract has mattered. It gets mentioned, but I think part of it is we are dealing with Yankees/Red Sox/Dodgers/etc. That's nice, but the 10 million in savings per year isn't really doing anything for them. PIttsburgh/STL would be the helpful teams there, but they don't seem to have the weapons. I'm pretty sure if Boston feels Sale is too expensive they'll just get Verlander and not really care too much about it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Q fan club card carrying member. I changed my last name to Quintana. But I find it hard to believe the market for Q is higher.

I wish Hoiberg could draw up an inbounds play though (but I'm not sure if that's a Rondo problem)

More of a "Quintana is very good" article which is nice to see. But while Quintana may get you a good pitcher for longer, we all know the market for these guys is thinking about their 1-2-3 rotation in the playoffs, and hard to say no to Sale for that.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 04:56 PM) It finally hit me....the way Valentine plays the game, it reminds me of Deron Williams. Again, I'm not comparing him to Williams, just talking about how smooth he plays on the court, etc (although it would be fantastic if he could turn into a prime Deron Williams). Overall look / style...not necessarily saying Valentine has done anything to make me claim he will be as good as peak Deron. I mean they do have similar hair.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 04:11 PM) Look at that schedule...hard to imagine how they would get 2 wins. I can't find 1 win on that schedule. They play the Chargers, Bengals, Giants, Bills, and Steelers. I suppose with the Bengals hurt and the whole rivalry, maybe they could win that, but I wouldn't bet on it. I hope you are right. If Barkley is our QB, the Niners game is still a possibility. I can't see us winning any other game, although you never know I suppose. Wow didn't realize Browns were winless. Thought they had won one for some reason.

People pass that article around a lot, but I have to question how good of an analysis it is when it acts like Berlusconi was defeated for good based off of an issues based election and not more absurd scandals.

Frazier wants to stay, doesn't want Sox to trade Sale
QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) if it meant getting/was the difference between getting a Torres/Fraizer/Rutherford back in a deal then sign me up...Headley's not very good but he's versatile (me trying to talk myself into the idea)??? I'd actually like it a lot. Especially since if he has a rebound year you could find a suitor again. Man I'd LOOve to get Blake Rutherford in our system.

Well, fine. Sure. Would rather be 2-14 than 4-12. I say browns shock the world and we may fight it out.

Frazier wants to stay, doesn't want Sox to trade Sale
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 03:50 PM) I don't think the answer is "Jerry being cheap". The answer more en-lies that given where we stand within the city of Chicago and where the fan base is as a whole, we have certain payroll constraints. Some years you can push past them, but there are real constraints that limit how you can go about building your team. We can't play financially with the biggest boys, but outside of those 5 or 7 teams, we can play with the rest payroll wise (some years on the higher side, some years slightly lower, but we can play). That said, there is a big drop off between the top tier spenders and the lower tiers and as a result, the options to build your team are more limited and if you do what the Sox did, it is almost impossible not to "half ass" it (i.e., give yourself a chance, but a, only if things work out as planned to better then planned across the board). Not saying a total miracle but most of your players are at expectations with a few performing over expectations (minimal injuries, etc). When I read that though, I can't help but think about Jerry being an "all-in" owner without the all-in budget. If he wanted to run like a midmarket team, I think we'd see something different, one that would have taken more seriously the cost-controlled benefits of a strong farm system. But he likes getting names, and he likes putting a winning effort, but within means. Is he cheap? No, we aren't the A's. But is he cheap considering the type of franchise he wants to run? Yes.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 11:17 AM) Loggains has no idea how to call a consistent offensive game. He just abandons the run game in the second half every f***ing time. Howard gets like 70 to 100 yards in the first half of just about every game he starts and then disappears in the second half. Although dude needs to work with the jugs machine Yeah. Bears offense isn't good but being the only team that hasn't had 24 points in a game is not a way to keep your job. Run offense has been a joy, could easily have transitioned to a power running team.

2016-2017 NBA Thread
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 10:44 AM) Rondo was absolutely brutal on Saturday and Sunday. That said, both of those games were extremely fun to watch. I don't know why we didn't have Butler have the rock more yesterday. He looked like he could score on every single possession. Lakers had no one who could guard him. Valentine is going to be a player. Has a smoothness to his game. Not saying all pro or something, but he's going to be a good pro. Rondo needs to assert himself offensively because right now he's passing up too many good looks and then by doing so, putting our offense in a worse spot (I realize he can't shoot, but these are shots that should be high percentage even for him). Rondo will be gone at the end of the year anyway when we try to lure Chris Paul. Did you see the play on Saturday where Rondo blew right by his man and had a clear lane to the hoop, and then passed it out to Portis at 3 point range, who was immediately guarded? It was infuriating, Bulls needed a bucket then too.

I feel like we've been saying this for 3 years now. Football is not fun to watch when you are just following the 4th-5th depth chart guys go against each other. I know Bears aren't along and that's kind of my point. Maybe football isn't being watched because it's hard to get up to watch two teams limping against each other.

Two things I was very wrong about was how decent Canaan has been (wanted Dinwiddie more, but to be fair to myself that was before MCW came aboard) and how good Robin Lopez looks away from NYK.
