  1. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Oct 15, 2016 -> 05:07 PM) I got my ballot today and I always manually research the judges - they are supposed to be non-political so it's hard since I'm not in lawyer circles locally. But since the other two voting-age people in my house use my ballot to vote, and my vote pretty much counts like it's 3 votes, I make sure it's right. The ballots are pretty long in presidential years. I basically end up relying on trib voter guide, so it's outsourced regardless
  2. yeah it's ridiculous. And you can only ever really know about them if they do something really wrong. Would love if judges and positions like that were removed from voting
  3. Remember when it was kind of funny when trump was running? That ended. http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politics/2...UdsM/story.html
  4. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 14, 2016 -> 06:13 PM) I'm obviously a DEM, but is it fair to even call it the Republican campaign anymore? Obviously that's what is on the ticket, but it's basically DEM's vs. Breitbart at this point. It's insane. When the RNC or leadership actually denounce this man maybe they can wipe their hands clean. But they are cowards.
  5. This republican campaign is astonishing. It's hard to even step back and get perspective now at how crazy this s*** is.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 14, 2016 -> 01:26 PM) I can't stand Pence, but I will give him credit for being intelligent and well read, even if I can't handle most of his positions. I would take Pence over Trump 100/100. If there was an election between trump and pence I would vote for pence. I'm just saying just because he is standing next to Trump does not make him moderate. That is a tragedy of a bill.
  7. TFW when you see dems will pick up a senate seat but it's Evan bayh. I don't have a gif for it but I'm making that face
  8. Pence is a disgusting person. His abortion bill required people seek funeral services for any fetus that died in utero. And it required everyone be cremated or buried. My wife had three miscarriages while we tried for child, and he would have forced us to spend money to comply with his disgusting bill instead of grieve and deal with it as a family. He deserves every hell that comes to him. Principled and kind my ass. Thank God for US judicial system that protected families from his callousness.
  9. At least Andrew Jackson also had a strong policy stance against the banks.
  10. Glad Acorn continues as a cutting edge Zombie Bogeyman
  11. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 09:58 AM) bmags, have you checked the costco prices versus other similar, no-hassle set ups like edmunds? I haven't. Frankly I just trust Costco so much that once I read up in it and saw it had great reviews that was enough for me. I also would call Costco and I was speaking to a person with all my info immediately.
  12. Assange is DEFINITELY onboard with trump now!
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 08:04 AM) Yes, 100 times out of 100, which tells me Boston wouldn't. I agree with you. And it's nutty that people think that's not enough.
  14. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Oct 13, 2016 -> 10:24 AM) This happened to Gallup in 2012, they failed so bad they got out of the horse-race polling business altogether. And we're rewarded with an absurdly big role in a presidential debate
  15. OTOH Ventura was vetted more than Trump ever was due to his governor run.
  16. So then ... the problem isn't Loggains, it's Hoyer. Clearly bears offense has improved, along with Loggains play calling. He did get a wide open Jeffery that was missed.
  17. Thanks for the 3 run home run in Toronto when we thought we were good!
  18. I don't think Hamilton would've been forgotten without musical but it did set a nice corrective from the common wisdom that came out of jeffersons hits on his character
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 12, 2016 -> 10:40 AM) Agreed all around. The procedural filibuster is a stupid rule. I'd like if senate took on house rules for filibuster. Let symbolic obstruction occur, but let senate do its business.
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 12, 2016 -> 10:05 AM) If the Democrats take back the Senate, what do you guys think the odds are for: 1) Abolishing the filibuster for SC nominees 2) Abolishing the filibuster entirely 1) 20% 2) 0% It should happen. Government needs to be able to do stuff.
  21. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 09:49 PM) I started to do that Costco Auto process for a friend. I filled out the info of the car she wanted submitted it, and received a phone call the next day from the dealership that was selected. That guy called me one time, and one time only. I never replied, since she changed her mind, but he did not continue to harass me about buying a car, so I feel like that's probably a Costco influence as well. Among other things, you don't even need to feel like you are worth the reps time if you don't want. They know you came for pricing, they offer it right away, you can leave right then. There's no "just get them in the door" feeling.
